Divorce is always sad. I like Mel Gibson, even after all of the craziness. He’s an amazing actor.

And no, just because you get a divorce and you’re Catholic doesn’t mean you go to hell.

Why do they always seek attorney fees. Such gold diggers.
If you are the one filing for divorce, the other person (aka Mel Gibson) should be the one seeking attorney fees.

Yeah, I remember Mel saying that because his wife wasn’t a strict catholic she’d be going to hell. But with a divorce, won’t he go too (?) I don’t know how the Catholics parse out this sort of thing…

I could be way off but didn’t he give an interview years ago, maybe around when The Passion of the Christ came out, that his religious beliefs were more extreme than his wife’s and he didn’t even believe she was going to heaven? That could have been some BS story I heard but considering his DUI arrest and racist ranting, I wouldn’t be too surprised if it is true.

Hum.. judging by the photos I’m guessing they have been separated for a while, u don’t just wake up one morning and file for divorce. I’m surprised, though they did had a long run by Hollywood standards.

Wow, wow, wow! I can’t blame his wife for filing for divorce, but I am surprised that she is actually doing. I mean she’s been putting up with him for 29 years, so it wouldn’t have shocked me if she had just continued to grin and bear it.
Good for her though for standing up for herself and moving on with her life.
