After Hulk Hogan (née Terry Bollea) gave an interview to Rolling Stone magazine where he made the following comments about his ex-wife Linda (Hogan) Bollea:
“I could have turned everything into a crime scene, like OJ, cutting everybody’s throat. You live half a mile from the 20,000-square-foot home you can’t go to anymore, you’re driving through downtown Clearwater and see a 19-year-old boy driving your Escalade, and you know that a 19-year-old boy is sleeping in your bed, with your wife . . . I totally understand OJ. I get it.”
Linda is speaking out by issuing an official statement denouncing the outrageous comments made by Hogan, admitting that she is taking his comments very seriously and plans to protect herself as much as she can as a result. Here is the full text of Linda‘s official statement in response to Hogan‘s original comments:
“Hulk’s serial cheating destroyed our marriage, our family and our future. Sadly, his recent comments remind us that his definition of fair is much different than what the law dictates,” states Linda Hogan. “We have always maintained that the fear that Linda has had to live with comes from the rage and instability much too often associated with pro wrestlers,” states Linda’s rep Gary Smith. Linda and her family are taking these recent homicidal comments seriously. Linda’s attorney Ray Rafool is weighting all options necessary to protect his client.

It is insane that Hulk Hogan could make those comments … but, in the end, can we really be surprised by anything that comes from the entire Hogan family? You got the son, Nick Hogan, going to jail for almost killing his best friend after crashing his car in a reported street race. You got the daughter, Brooke Hogan, doing anything and everything (like pole dancing, for example) in order to promote herself as a “singer” … and then you’ve got these outrageous comments from their father Hulk Hogan. Trust me, it’s not that I’m the biggest Linda Hogan fan but that her husband would say such things publicly is horrendous. If he is willing to divulge these dark thoughts in a major magazine can you imagine what he must be like in private? Linda is right to take these “homicidal comments” seriously. I hope she is smart and stays as far away from him as she can. Whether he is serious about his comments or not, it would be very smart of her to keep her distance. Who knows what the man might be capable of doing. After all, he has proven by his very words that he is capable of concocting some very dark things. Scary.

I’m almost 100% sure this comment was taken out of context… it would not surprise me in the least if Hogan is just expressing how hurt he is. Who hasn’t said the phrase “I could kill her/him” out of frustration in certain situations. I am not a Linda fan by any means…likewise, I’m not really a Hogan fan either…but I really don’t see him really causing her any harm. I listen to the Bubba the Lovesponge show on Sirius radio…wich is based out of Clearwater. Hogan is really good freinds with Bubba and he’s on the radio a lot with him. Hearing the kind of crap Linda has put that man through just makes me sick…so I could totaly see why Hogan would make a comment like this…he’s frustrated, hurt, and angry. Yes, maybe including OJ in his example is taking a bit far…but it’s clear the man is hurt.
@Kara — out of context? it sounds to me that he put his thoughts in clear context. saying “i could kill” someone is very different from saying “i could stage a murder just like OJ Simpson did and get away with it”.
I agree with Kara, I think people need cut Hulk some slack, he’s been through a lot already. I highly doubt that he actually meant what he said.
Yea, its taken way out of consideration. Chris Rock has a comedy bit about it sayin that he “understands” why OJ would do it. Chris goes on to say that he wouldn’t kill her, but he might choke the bitch.
I guess since it was a comedic routine without a direct association with a human, it must be ok.

John Graziano’s father hired someone to kill the mother (and by extension win any money from the Hogan’s). What a crazy, sad group of people.
Its one thing to say something like that in private- make a joke about your painful situation or even admit that you feel like killing the person who hurt you because we all FEEL that way at one time- but it is another thing entirely to make those comments in a publicly read magazine. That sounds too much like a threat to me and it is obviously meant for his wife to hear. When I first read what he said, I also remembered Chris Rock’s routine but he was talking about a general observation and not a specific person like Hulk Hogan. I understand why his ex-wife would be afraid.
They both need to go far far away,both of them are attention whores who have done a grave disservice to both their kids with their childish behaviors.

It very well may have been taken out of context, but he shouldnt have even mentioned it to begin with. It would piss me off too seeing my ex doing those things knowing Im still financially supporting their actions. Linda worked and made money, she has her own! And a 19 year old boyfriend? EW!

I can feel where he’s coming from, about his house and about his wife being with a teenager…. but NOT the OJ part….. how incredibly STOOPID of him to say such a thing!!
It’s about right that some serial cheating asshole would complain to the extent that he’d like to kill her… Guys like that NEVER see the results as being their fault…. @tiffany — hearsay is defined as “Unverified information heard or received from another”, what I posted and commented on was a direct quote in the man’s own words. I stand by my contention that his comments are outrageous and totally uncalled for.

There is no context that would make comments like this ok. We all need to start taking things like this way more seriously. Trent, thank you very much for taking this seriously and also thank you for taking the responsibility to respond to these comments and insist that this is a serious matter.

@ Dana J…Linda was a manager in the wrestling business for several wrestlers for many years. Thats actually how she met Hulk. She may not have been working recently, but she can work…I dont for one minute think she doesnt have money put away somewhere.
