Easter With The Octomom
Family fun for 50% of her children

Over the weekend, Nadya Suleman (the baby-making machine known to the world as the Octomom) was spotted taking 7 of her children out for a stroll at a park in La Habra, CA. The 8th octuplet remains in the pediatric unit at Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center and who knows where her 6 previous (and totally unfamous) children were (closet, perhaps?) but the lucky (?) first 7 octuplets got to head out for some fresh air with their attentive mommy … behold:

It seems awfully difficult to be able to keep track of 7 babies but I suppose if you load them all into two strollers, the endeavor is a bit more manageable … but, hello, she’s got 7 other children to take care of as well (and her babies won’t stay babies for long). Suleman recently gave an interview to the Whittier Daily News that she is contemplating applying for federal aid to feed her 14 children, you know, if that reality TV show thing doesn’t work out. Seriously, what a nightmare … this whole Octomom thing just keeps getting worse. Can she really handle the successful and healthy raising of 14 kids all by herself? I suppose we’ll be able to tune in very soon to find out.

i am not defending her in any way… but i must say good for her for getting them out any way she can. I know some moms who never get their kids out for walks. if she has to do a little at a time oh, well. I am sure this was a BIG step for her to mess up that whole routine she HAS to have for taking care of 14… or even attempting to take care of 14 kids

This whole story really upsets me. Having just one child is a serious commitment, not only to that child but to the society that child is going to grow up and become involved in. How can this woman care adequately for ANY of these children? Sure, she’s got lots of help now…but once the media attention wanes (and it will) and something bigger and better comes along, it’s gonna be her and 14 very young children in need of adequate food, shelter, clothing, discipline, stimulation, and socialization. It’s disgusting. I personally feel the best thing that can happen for those kids is to find stable, permanent homes elsewhere…in an environment where they have a fighting chance to get the love and attention they will need to grow into well-balanced, intelligent adults. I have SO many friends who are struggling to just have one child…I find it disgusting this woman is clearly filling up her empty life with children as if they were collector’s items.

I used to work in CPS and despite what people think, it is extremely difficult to remove kids from their parents. She would have to actually harm one of the kids, or show over-the-top gross negligence to ever lose custody.
Those poor kids though. How much attention can any one of them get when there are thirteen siblings to share attention with?

This woman bothers me more with every passing day. I just can’t imagine what doctor would have allowed this to happen. Invetro is a wonderful thing that has helped so many people, but abusing it is just insane. If you have to even think of using food stamps, there is no way a doctor should help you to have 14 kids. Those poor children.

  5. Michelle says:

Oh you have got to be kidding me… she’s contemplating applying for aid to feed her kids???? WHEN SHE DIDN’T HAVE THE MONEY TO HAVE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE??!!!! Someone please call children and youth on this woman! Seriously… she makes me so angry it’s not even funny. You know generally when people have a baby or babies, they are financially capable of taking care of them… unless the baby or babies were unplanned and even then people usually do whatever they can to make the most of the situation… but this woman planned out her pregnancies and didn’t care about warnings of multiple births… why should taxpayers then be responsible for her actions? Actually the more I think about it that in vitro doctor should open his wallet this time!

How the fuck do you even begin to raise 14 kids? Really how because my brain is shutting off at the mere thought.

  7. Chase says:

This thing is so bizarre! I feel for those kids… no one should have that many kids. Apparently she didn’t watch Cheaper By The Dozen

  8. Oscar says:

She should be denied STATE or FEDERAL AID.She got herself into this mess looking for fame and glory.I for one will not watch a reality program about her.I saw Jon and Kate and now is so boring and they are breaking up anyway. But this woman has no husband,it is a disgrace to moral society and a fame seeker.Let her get herself out of it by herself.I do not want my taxes to go to support this woman.

  9. CoCo says:

AHHHH!!!! Preemie babies should NOT be out of the house this soon! They are more susceptible to sickness anyways, let alone taking them out in public where there are more germs. RSV is a MAJOR threat, still even in April. What in earth is this woman’s problem?!

  10. Paul Stanley says:

It’s obvious the this is just a photo op and that the babies aren’t really in the strollers. This way people will say “Isn’t she such a great mom for taking her kids out for a walk.” All she’s doing is building a fan base for when she launches her reality show so that there will be a built in audience to watch. The sad part is there is no one to handle her money, she has already proven that she can handle money responsibly when it’s in her hands.

I COMPLETELY agree with Michelle’s comment above!

  12. JessicaGiovanna says:

This is off topic but she reminds me of the actor, Tom Hulce who played Mozart in the movie, Amadeus.
