Last month Joel Madden (@joelmadden) showed off a new photo of his darling baby girl Harlow Winter on his official Twitter profile. At the time, mama Nicole Richie (@nicolerichie) was not yet on Twitter (tho, she is on Twitter now), so the duty to show off Harlow‘s adorableness fell to papa Joel. Today, Ashlee Simpson (@ashsimpsonwentz) shows off a new photo of her adorable baby boy Bronx Mowgli on her official Twitter profile … papa Pete Wentz (@petewentz) has yet to share any baby pics on his Twitter profile page. As you may recall, the world got its first look at Bronx Mowgli back on Xmas day not on a magazine cover but instead on Pete‘s official website … it would seem that the Simpson-Wentz family is all about the sharing of the baby pics online. Here is the new pic of Bronx along with Ashlee‘s accompanying message to her Twitter followers:

Yes, folks, Twitter is the new place for celebs to show off their personal pics … which, to me, is wholly fascinating. My Space used to be the place to go to in order for fans to get an inside look into the psyches of their fave celebs but the immediacy and intimacy of direct messages (and photos) from those same celebs on Twitter seems much more appealing. Just last night, Nicole Richie was posting her thoughts on last night’s ep of American Idol and Joel Madden was posting tweets as he traveled back home to SoCal from NYC. Right before she went to bed, Ashlee posted this new pic of Bronx … Twitter is where it’s at, y’all. Neither of the two pics behind the cut feature little Bronx but one of them does feature someone that Ashlee loves very much …

Cute!!! Also, Ashlee mentioned on her profile that she is ready to change her hair color again … apparently, she will be lightening her deep red hair color to something softer. Celeb watchers would be smart to get on Twitter if they aren’t already. As I mentioned, following these people offers a new insight into their personal daily lives. Much like you and your friends share inside jokes and pithy comments about others, so too do celebs to one another. I love it when Trent Reznor (@trent_reznor) tweets back and forth to Dave Navarro (@davenavarro6767) and Amanda Palmer (@amandapalmer). We are now privy to personal “conversations” between folks we may respect and admire (er, the Trent Reznors not necessarily the Ashlee Simpsons). It’s fun, y’all.
