Britney Spears Brings Her ‘Circus’ To Los Angeles, CA
The TV Guide

Last night Britney Spears FINALLY brought her tour The Circus starring Britney Spears to Los Angeles on her 25th concert stop of the tour. David and I purchased tickets for the VIP Concert Experience and had the best time ever.

But, so as not to spoil any of the show for those of you who have yet to see the concert for yourselves, I’ll keep all of the photos that I took of the show last night behind the cut. After the jump, check out what I thought of the show and see a few of the many photos that I snapped last night …

First off, I have to say that I was very impressed with the VIP package we bought. Not only were we treated to a pre-concert party (complete with food, drink, snacks and entertainment) but we were also given a fairly extensive backstage tour of the venue. I’ve seen a lot of shows in my time but this was the first time I had been able to have such a fun fan experience. If you bought VIP tix for an upcoming show, you won’t be disappointed.

Now the show …

The staging was just amazing. I really wasn’t expecting the show to be as good as it was. There are a lot of really great elements that make the show really fun to watch. There were acrobatics, high-wire flying, magic and more. The circus theme really works well as a concert performance … David and I were both really impressed.

Britney seemed in great spirits and was full of energy. It wasn’t the most rigorous dance show I’ve ever seen but Britney really held her own and put on a show that, I personally, felt was more entertaining than her last tour. I think The Britney Tour is my all-time fave tour and this is my #2 pick. The show is great … I loved the set list, most of the costumes (which, to be honest, did get cheesy at times) and the staging. This concert is the perfect type of show you’d expect from a tour of this magnitude. It’s no secret I love Britney to bits … but I promise, I’m not exaggerating. I had a great time … and so did David … which is saying a lot cuz he hates concerts :) Here is the full show setlist:

Circus
Piece of Me
Radar
Ooh Ooh Baby
Hot as Ice
Boys
If U Seek Amy
Me Against the Music
Everytime
Freakshow
Get Naked
Breathe on Me
Touch My Hand
Do Something
Slave
Toxic
… Baby One More Time

We can’t wait to see the show again in Anaheim on Sunday night!

But before then, we are planning a lot of quiet hanging out … just dinner and movie tonight. We’re planning on seeing Crank: High Voltage tonight and then … who knows. It’ll be nice to just lay low a bit this weekend.

yeah, britney is amazing.. amazing at screwing up.

hahahaha.. the hot, sexy dancing, PCD didn’t entertain you but the non-singing, poor – barley dancing britney did? ..hahahaha.. sure… i wonder how many times she messed up.

  4. Cynthia says:

@Ben, not even much walking around, she was carried or pushed most of the time!

It’s really interesting to see your pics because she had different costumes for a few of her sets in Edmonton. I have a video I took of her during “boys”, I wish I could have taped the whole night though. It was an overall great time and I also had the “VIP Experience”. Total blast and worth every penny. There is not one moment you are sitting there waiting for something to happen because there is always something going on. Have fun Sunday in Anaheim!

Great show last night… did you notice she was waving during “Everytime” while riding the umbrella… she was waving at her boys in the audience sitting in the section next to us. I thought it was really sweet to see her connect with her kids in a crowd of thousands. :)

I loved the Perez Hitlon opening! Best concert ever!!!

Saw Brit in Sacto and LOVED the show!! Like many others, I too was SO disappointed in the fact that she did not speak to the audience. She spoke for a quick second only to say she was going to slow things down a bit…..then she actually sang the only song of the night….then she said Goodnight Sacramento….THAT WAS IT……:( whatev

    Still love her

I love how she included my 2 fav. songs from Blackout on the tour “Freakshow” and “Get Naked.” But I sure do wish she included “Kill The Lights,” “Blur” and “Unusual You” form Circus.

  15. Brittany says:

    =D

I was there last night too! I drove 6 hours from Mexico just to see her and it was totally worth it! It’s a fantastic show and the circus theme fits perfectly for a concert like this.

I personally think she left out some great songs (Stronger, Oops!.., My Prerogative, Overprotected, Crazy, Toy Soldier, Heaven on Earth) and picked other boring ones (Freakshow, Ooh Ooh Baby) but oh well, I’m not complaining.

I also thought “I’m a Slave 4 U” would be amazing since it’s a great song and instead it was boring, I didn’t like the version she used and the “show” they assigned to it (or lack thereof).

I was kinda hoping to bump into you there so I could be featured on the blog like all the people you meet on the street lol.
