hi i think bea was a very funny and wonderful human being its sad when people get things like cancer or any other illness i would want for good people like bea to be heathly and not sick so she could enjoy the rest of her time on earth. i loved how all the girls had such great chemistry on and off the set estelle and bea will always be remebred

I feel like I have lost a family member I am so very sad that she has passed away. I think I have driven every guy that I have had a relationship with crazy with the Golden Girls. I have always thought about me and my girlfriends at that age and maybe living together like they did but I have always thought of myself as Dorthey. She will be greatly missed.

When I was in college my roommates and I would hardly ever agree on what to watch.. the only two shows we could ever watch together were MXC and The Golden Girls which we watched almost religiously. That was several years ago, around the time they were getting major play on Lifetime and there was almost always a mini-marathon on. I absolutely will never forget all 6 of us crowding into our tiny on campus apartment living room, eating various things and just laughing and watching GG together. We might not have always gotten along but that’s the one thing that bonded us. It’s so sad to see half of them gone now :(

My heart still hurts over this news..I was watching Golden Girls daily before they moved it to a channel I don’t have and I really started to appreciate how quick Bea was on that show..I think I was too young when the show first came out to really understand how funny she was..Now when I watch, her quick jabs at everyone crack my shizz up..Just so sad..

I have been sad all weekend after learning of this. We love GG at my house. We even call my toddler Little Sophia because she is tiny, feisty and carries a little straw purse all the time!

Bea was my favorite. I think the world just got a lot less fabulous. :(

I remember being so excited as a little girl getting ready to watch the weekend line ups and Golden Girls was always one of my favorites. I still watch the re runs today. The chemistry that these woman ( and men ) had on camera gave a lot of shows a run for their money. We lost a true Icon this weekend,Bea Arthur will be deeply missed.

I don’t think I’ll be getting over this loss anytime soon. I feel like a member of my own family has passed away. I grew up with Dorothy Zbornak; she’s every homo’s wet dream. Thank god for reruns and the DVDs, but they will now forever be bittersweet. :(

Golden Girls is to this day one of my favorite shows and part of the reason is Dorothy’s sharp tongue. They are all incredible women.
R.I.P. Bea. We will miss you!!
