The reason why they probably didn’t donate 1,000,000 mosquito nets is because they’re $10 each Trent. So that would have been about $10,000,000 dollars and I don’t know if he even has that much. Also, he donated 10,000 nets which is equivalent to $100,000. I’m glad you posted this though, I added it to my facebook account and also donated myself.

@oscar. Each net can hold two people and last five years. Unless you have donated more than Ashton, I don’t think you have any right to say anything negative.

I don’t see why so many people are bitching about Ashton doing this, a lot of good has come out of it. Countless other people (both celebrities and otherwise) donating money to buy mosquito nets which is something that probably would not be happening if it wasn’t for this whole thing, so I say congrats Ashton :)

I think most people are taking this as a joke and as another stupid thing Ashton was doing; but u r really not understanding was this was all about. It goes deeper than “I’ll get 1000000 sooner than u” If that was the case he could’ve raced Britney Spears and not CNN. I’ll quote an article that I think got the gesture “To demonstrate that any individual can earn influence for which to wield freely and graciously in the name of social good is symbolic of the true spirit of Social Media.” – http://tinyurl.com/dhjov5. That was the main purpose and that’s why he chose CNN. Check out his video from when he got to a million and talked about it before and after.
I’m not defending Ashton, I could’t care less, he cracks me up form time to time but he is not a family member or a friend of mine; but I do believe in and support his intentions cause I feel the same way about the media issue.
And Demi is in love with the “pathetic, childish, douche” like someone said up there, and happy so… who are we to judge. Lucky her for having a man that adores her and makes her laugh.
