The third season of Skins, which featured an entirely new cast from the first two seasons of the show, may already be finished in the UK but the season is scheduled to air here in the US on BBC America sometime soon. So, to prepare, Nylon magazine is featuring some of the new cast in a feature in their new issue in order to introduce the new kids to the US audience:

Nylonmag.com posted an interview online with some of the new cast but it has mysteriously been taken down for some unknown reason. Here are a couple of really cute pics of twins Dolly Rose and Charlie Tulip Romijn-O’Connell out for a stroll with their parents Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell in Toronto, Canada yesterday afternoon. Rebecca is in town reportedly filming a new movie called The Love Child (which also stars Donald Sutherland) and Jerry and the twins are with her to lend their moral support … behold:

While this is one of the first times that we’ve seen the baby twins out and about in public it is not our very first look at them. As you may recall, Jerry showed off a cute photo of the just-born twins live on national TV just weeks after they were born in late December. The little ones have gotten quite big in the past few months … and they look darling. These little girls are going to be the cutest little twins ever … don’t you think?

Now that everyone is worried about contracting the swine flu from going out in public it’s not too surprising to see folks wearing surgical masks these days … so mebbe Michael Jackson thought it would be the perfect opportunity to don is fave mask and take his children — Prince Michael Jackson, Paris Michael Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson, II a.k.a. Blanket — out for a shopping excursion on Melrose Ave. yesterday. Perhaps he thought he might be able to avoid detection by blending it with the other masked shoppers … and he almost got away with it if it weren’t for those fancy red pants he was wearing. Michael Jackson caused a stir in West Hollywood yesterday as he took his three children on a shopping spree. The eccentric pop star enjoyed a chaotic visit to the Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier store with seven-year-old Prince Michael II (known as Blanket), 11-year-old Paris and 12-year-old Prince Michael in tow. The 50-year-old’s children donned school uniforms for the trip and kept their faces covered up with flamboyant carnival masks as they shopped inside. Jackson also opted for the school look and sported a green blazer and red baggy trousers with his trademark surgical mask. After spending over an hour inside the store, the group left the premises while an aide carried their numerous purchases. It was a rare public family outing for the Jackson clan. The star has gone to great lengths to ensure that his children are protected from the media glare and the youngsters’ faces have only been pictured once. Jackson has been locked away in recent months as he rehearses for his 50-night comeback tour at London’s O2 arena this summer.

I always thought it was counterproductive for Jacko to insist that his children wear masks when they go out in public. As I understand it, Jacko wants his kids to wear disguises so that they won’t be targeted by kidnappers. It seems to me that if someone wanted to kidnap his children, they’d know exactly which kids to target … the only kids wearing brightly feathered masks. If you look closely at the insignias on the uniform jackets the kids are wearing, it appears that the logo is an MJ crest of some sort. Clearly, these children are getting the best education possible at the Michael Jackson School of Scholastics. It is so hard not to feel bad for these kids … I cannot even imagine how odd their lives must be.

Jamie Lynn Spears and her daughter Maddie Briann were spotted upon arrival at LAX Airport in SoCal late last week as the ladies were planning to spend some time with Mama/Grandmama Lynne Spears for a spell:

Unfortch, babydaddy Casey Aldridge got into a car accident on Sunday when he lost control of his truck and flipped it, resulting in injuries to Casey and 3 other passengers. It is being reported that Casey will be moved from ICU so he should be OK but JL and MB packed up their shizz and flew back home to Louisiana so that they could be with Casey during his recuperation. This is the first time that we’ve seen Maddie Briann in quite some time … I believe the last time we saw her she was still a tiny thing being pushed around in a stroller. She has grown considerably since we saw her late last year. It’s still strange to think of Jamie Lynn as a mother but, as I understand it, she and Casey have been holding their own as parents. Except for Casey’s wild ride this weekend, the couple have remained out of trubs and have been keeping well out of sight. I suppose JL and Maddie will stay out of sight for the duration of Casey’s recuperation but it was nice to get a peek at the little girl after all these months.

Over the weekend we learned that The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Taylor Lautner has sparked up a teen romance with Disney actress Selena Gomez in Vacouver, BC Canada (where Taylor is working on the Twilight sequel) and today we get to see a couple new photos of Taylena lookin’ all cute together as they made their way on a movie date. All together now, AWWWWWWWWW:

Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner stepped out together in Vancouver over the weekend, sparking rumors that the Disney Channel star and the Twilight hunk are more than just friends. When they had a break from filming (him New Moon and her Ramona and Beezus), Lautner, 17, picked up Gomez, 16, at her hotel Saturday, and the young couple headed for dinner at the upscale Cactus Club in the town of Coquitlam. After dinner, they linked arms and walked to a nearby cineplex to see the Beyonce Knowles thriller Obsessed. “They were cuddling throughout the movie and sat very close together,” says an onlooker. “[They were] definitely acting like they were boyfriend and girlfriend.” It’s not the first time the couple has been spotted together. They recently grabbed dinner with some friends – including Lautner’s Twilight costar Robert Pattinson. They were also spotted drinking lattes together at a nearby cafe on Thursday. “They were just sort of doing their own thing, talking,” an onlooker tells PEOPLE. Despite the cuddling at Saturday’s movie, sources say it’s not exactly a romance. “He has been visiting her on the set and they’ve been hanging out in Vancouver, says a source. “The two of them are friends.”

Yes, they do make a really adorable pair of friends. How much do you want to bet that Selena has been doodling Taylor’s name in her notebook with hearts all over the place? Why, a more perfect couple could not have been thought up by any publicist out there. They seem well suited for one another and I bet they really like hanging out together … as friends. Ain’t puppy love grand?

The May 11th episode of Gossip Girl is the big ep where the proposed new spin-off series based on the life of the young Lily van der Woodsen in the 80’s gets featured. In order to help kick off the new show, No Doubt has been enlisted to portray the fictional 80’s band called Snowed Out and will perform on the show via 80’s flashback. Saying Snowed Out out loud sounds like you’re saying No Doubt … which is actually kinda cool (thanks Alex). Yeah, it’s a bit confusing but the plan is to entice the viewer into wanting to see more of this new as yet untitled new show. Here is our first look at No Doubt as Snowed Out in the upcoming Gossip Girl ep titled Valley Girls:

May 11 is bound to be a really big day for our beloved Upper East Siders — not only are they getting a potential spin-off starring Brittany Snow and Krysten Ritter, but No Doubt is gracing the show with their SoCal presence. Well, sort of. Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Adrian Young and Tom Dumont will play a fictional 1980s band called Snowed Out in the flashback-heavy hour. We come across the faux-strummers when a young Lily checks out her very first rock show with sister Carol. If all goes according to plan, the “Gossip Girl” spin-off and characters will be appearing on your TV weekly.

It’s funny how the No Doubt of the 80’s looks a lot like the No Doubt of the late 90’s. Nonetheless, I’m really looking forward to seeing the band on the show. I understand that they will be performing a cover of the Adam Ant song Stand and Deliver, which they recorded and gave away to fans who purchased VIP tickets to their upcoming tour. The May 11th ep of Gossip Girl will feature a whole lot more 80’sness than just No Doubt as a faux band. Lindsay Lohan, who is currently on the island of Maui, HI on a mini-vacay with family and friends, spent a bit of time playing in the water with her little sister Aliana Lohan yesterday. The girls whopped it up together in the historic birthing tide pools looking as if they were having the time of their lives … behold:

Lindsay Lohan’s split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson has clearly been unhelpful in her constant battle to maintain a healthy weight. Now, in a bid to take her mind over her recent romantic upheaval, the Mean Girls actress is holidaying in Hawaii with her younger sister Ali and a few friends. But the troubled star’s weight loss was all too apparent when she showed off her skinny figure in a skimpy bikini yesterday. Following a heart-to-heart with DJ Samantha last Thursday night, the 22-year-old jetted to Hawaii for some much needed time out. Wearing a black and white bikini bra and black bottoms, Lindsay looked super slim as she chatted to friends and swam in the lava rock pools. In between swimming and enjoying the sun, Lindsay repeatedly checked her Blackberry for messages and made friends with a local dog. She also caught up on some reading with a telling book entitled The Little Teal Book Of Trust by Jeffrey Gitomer, which teaches the reader how to trust people and be trustworthy. Friends of the actress say her recent weight loss is a cry for attention following her split from Samantha on April 4 … Lindsay appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres chat show last week and told of how the couple’s break-up came ‘out of nowhere’ for her. After their meeting last week, Lindsay is hopeful for a reconciliation. Following their six-hour meeting at Samantha’s LA home, the DJ has now changed her relationship status from ’single’ to ‘it’s complicated’ on her Facebook page. Lindsay told Ellen: “I really care about Samantha and we’ll see what happens. Maybe when we’re fully in the right place. I love her.”

While I think this little holiday in Hawaii will do the girl some good, I really think that Lindsay needs to take care of herself a bit more. Seeing her this happy is great but she really does look frail in some of her recent photos. No matter what happens with Samantha, she needs to put herself and her health first in order to find happiness. But, again, I think this trip with family and friends will do wonders for her disposition. I’m rootin’ for Lindsay to find happiness … but she really needs to find it within herself rather than in someone else. Rest up, Linds!!
