Trick or Treat! Rob Zombie has released the first trailer from the sequel to his remake of Halloween and, I have to say, it doesn’t look too bad. While I was not really a fan of his version of Halloween, the trailer for Halloween II looks much better in comparison:

Unsurprisingly, Zombie strays quite a bit from the original version of Halloween II (which, for the record, is one of my fave horror films of all time) as it appears most of the action does NOT take place in the Haddonfield Hospital like it does in the original Halloween II. Britney Spears continues to tour the US with The Circus starring Britney Spears and as with any live concert tour, accidents will happen. Take, for example, the recent concert stop where Britney was performing Touch of my Hand with one of her dancers and during their routine, a piece of her hair weave got yanked out and left on the couch she was laying on:

In a new YouTube.com video of one of her most recent shows in the U.S., a suspended dancer clearly yanks off a clump of Brit’s hair extensions as he attempts to pull her into the air with him. Meanwhile, insiders claim Spears is struggling with her energetic dance routines. A source tells Britain’s The Mirror, “The choreography is insane – it’s so fast it is really taking its toll on her. There is one move during (the song) Touch Of My Hand, where two guys dangle from the ceiling and pick her up upside down, which is really getting to her. “She spins around for nearly five minutes some nights. The blood rushes to her head and when she gets down she complains of nausea and dizziness. There have been a couple of times when she ran off stage and vomited.”

Lance Bass can usually be found in the company of very attractive men but, on occasion, he manages to save his company for the ladies … and by the way that the ladies love to flock to his side, I’d say he prolly likes the attention:

Believe me, I know that Lance deffo prefers the company of dudes (the less dressed the better) but it’s nice of him to spread his wealth around to the fairer sex as well. Homeboy is quite the charmer … boys, girls — everyone loves Lance!

Aussie pop queen Kylie Minogue (one of the most beautiful women alive) made an appearance on the red carpet at the opening of a new Tous jewelry boutique in Barcelona, Spain (one of the most beautiful cities on Earth) yesterday in her role as spokesmodel for the company. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Ms. Kylie here on the blog so it’s about time we got to see her beautiful face around these parts … behold:

News on the Kylie front has been a bit quiet lately but she has been popping up in London in the last couple of weeks. She is always a nice sight to behold whenever she shows up on the scene … and she looked especially cute at the Tous event in Barcelona last night. Until we get word that she has begun work on her next album (which I hope is soon) we’ll just have to take what we can get :)

Depcehe Mode, who just released their latest album Sounds of the Universe on Tuesday, took over Hollywood Blvd. last night for a live performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Unfortch, I was not able to make it out for the performance but my friend and ofttimes roving reporter Darion was able to attend and he snapped a few pics for sharing here on the blog … behold:

Tonight I went to see Depeche Mode with my friends Fred and Jason – we heard they were giving a free concert in Hollywood. We came upon Hollywood & Argyle to see the entire section of street completely blocked off! The city had closed several blocks around the Hollywood and Highland complex for the FREE concert! Radio stations were handing out 10,000 tickets all day! I have to give a shout out to Sarah S., thanks to her and the always amazing Pink Is The New Blog, we got into the VIP section just as the concert started. It was SO FUN! As you can see from the pics, Jimmy Kimmel kicked off the concert along with Channing Tatum, promoting his new movie Fighting – who looked so insanely hawt I think a few people fainted – and Elisha Cuthbert, who was apparently promoting her transition into becoming a man. I keed, I keed, she’s gorgeous but her outfit choice was not a good one. After they segued for the show Depeche Mode kicked it off with an AMAZING concert! From what we were told they did two songs live for the show, followed by another 30-40 minutes of performing. It was incredible! And so cool they stayed to play for the crowd instead of just doing songs for the show and taking off. My personal favorite of the night was Personal Jesus, the crowd erupted and really got into it. They also did several songs off their new album, as well as some other classics. They start a new tour this summer and ended the show with “See you soon!”. They sounded fantastic live and put on a great show – if you are a fan I definitely recommend seeing them live!!

It sounds like the live performance was incredible … I have been THOROUGHLY obsessed with Sounds of the Universe since I downloaded it on iTunes this past Tuesday. The album is totally solid, really freaking great. It has that old Depeche Mode sound but with an updated feel. While I am bummed that I missed seeing them last night, I understand the band will tour this Summer and is planning a show at the Hollywood Bowl here in LA. I am SO gonna be at that show. I have been on a reading frenzy this week and I’ve sorta forsaken all other things in order to catch up on a few books that have been piling up on my desk. A few weeks ago, I was sent an advance copy of Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill so it’s been on the top of my reading list for a while … I finally started reading the book this week and I didn’t want to put it down:

The book is excellently written and features just enough pop culture references to make the story feel fresh without overdoing it (Nine Inch Nails gets a shout-out, which of course endeared the book to me even more). The book is the first in the Chicagoland Vampire Series and focuses on a female protagonist named Merit who is no timid woman and brings a fresh perspective on the vampire craze that is going around these days. The book has a little bit of Harry Potter in it (ie. different Vampire Houses), a little bit of The Southern Vampire Mysteries in it (ie. the Sookie Stackhouse novels which True Blood is based on) but with a voice and perspective all it’s own. No offense to the Twilight fans out there but the writing from Chloe Neill is IMMENSELY better than that from Stephenie Meyer. I just really enjoyed the book and I am very much looking forward to Book II Friday Night Bites which is due out this Fall. If you are a fan of vampire novels, I think you should give this one a try. I loved it entirely and am now very anxious to read more from Ms. Neill.

Because I finished the book a bit early in the night, I started reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen & Seth Grahame-Smith. OMG, it’s freaking brilliant! I suspect I’ll get thru this book very quickly … it’s really hilarious. I must admit, I’ve never read the original Austen novel in its entirety but I may read the book after I finish this version of the tale. If you’re a fan of Austen or even if you’re not, this book is really entertaining. I’ve gotten thru the first few chapters and all I kept thinking was that I hope they will turn the mash-up book into a movie!

I don’t think I’ll get much reading done today … David and I still have to pack for our trip to Chicago and we have decided to see two movies today. Hahahaha … yes, we’re a bit nutty.

As y’all should know by now, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are planning to be wed for real in a ceremony that will take place in Pasdena, CA tomorrow afternoon and they are in the final stages of their wedding plans. Those final stages include doing everything they can to keep the paparazzi away from their wedding at all costs … which strikes me as extremely odd considering how much the couple revels in any and all attention that they generate. TMZ got their hands on a flyer that was distributed in the Pasadena neighborhood where their nuptials are set to take place that seeks aid from the community to help keep the paps from crashing their wedding:

This is rich. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are getting married tomorrow, and they are deeply concerned about safety — so they are trying to keep the paparazzi at bay. Of course, we’re not buyin’ what they’re sellin’. We got our hands on a flyer sent around the Pasadena neighborhood where they will be tying the knot. The flyer asks residents to sign a petition, allowing the Heidi and Spencer crew to shut down some of the streets and sidewalks for “an untitled reality TV project” — otherwise called the wedding. BTW — the person who is listed as the line producer produces “The Hills.” Why so misleading, Speidi? Now here’s the best part: They want No Parking signs on a strategic street “to discourage paparazzi from parking and hiding out in their cars” — they say for safety reasons. Excuse us, but isn’t this the couple that courts hordes of paparazzi to follow them on every street in Hollywood? Could it be they want to restrict paparazzi because it’s more lucrative for them if the pappers don’t get the shot? We are such cynics. And the final sweet touch — in making the request to the neighbors, they say they will be filming “interior and exterior dialogue” at the church. For normal people, those are called wedding vows.

LMAO! This is hilarious … I would imagine that Speidi would want as much media attention surrounding their wedding ceremony as possible … the more the merrier. But, it seems, that they are really interested this time in keeping as much control over the media access as possible. Just because the flyer (which you can read in full HERE) has been distributed asking for these things, it doesn’t mean that they’ll get them. I suspect, try as they might, paparazzi photos of their wedding will get out.

But, their wedding isn’t the only think occupying their minds this weekend … NBC is announcing the cast of the upcoming season of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! and are going to announce that both Heidi and Spencer have been cast. Disgraced former governor Rod Blagojevich desperately tried to get on the show but, alas, it wasn’t meant to be … tho he was able to weasel his way on the NBC set yesterday to pose for a photo with Speidi (who were bizzy doing promo for the show). Dita Von Teese, the modern queen of burlesque, is featured in a new batch of promo photos for Wonderbra which, IMHO, tastefully showcase the support undergarments in a tasteful and very sexy way. The implication is that wearing the Wonderbra will give you a rack like Dita, which I’m sure will go far in selling the undergarments far and wide. For someone who takes their clothes off for a living, it’s no surprise Dita Von Teese gets to create her own line of lingerie. She’s been hired by Wonderbra to recreate her unique look for the masses. And while many of us may be cutting back on life’s little luxuries in the current economic climate – the Queen of Burlesque is keen for us to embrace our seductive inner-self and splash out. Her latest collection is a combination of 1950s shapes and 1940s fabrics and is her first line of designed garments. Von Teese used her fascination with vintage underwear, taking inspiration from her own designs. The pieces include a mixture of suspenders, thongs and bras, which Von Teese says are so comfortable that she wears them regularly. She admits her current incarnation as the face of Wonderbra is a dream come true, “I’ve always wanted to do something with lingerie and it was important for the finished product to be something I would wear myself.” She has her detractors, after all, removing most of her clothes on stage means “a lot of people think that what I do is anti-feminist”, she admits. “But most of my fans are women and my whole thing has been about finding sexual power rather than abusing it.”

I’ve been a big fan of Dita Von Teese for years … she has carved out a niche that only she occupies and does what she does better than anyone else alive right now. While the woman may appear risque to some people, I’ve always contended that what she does she does with class and poise. Her burlesque act has never seemed dirty or pornographic to me at all. It is very rare that a woman can perform mostly nekkid and still keep a level of class that many dressed women don’t possess. I’m not sure if women who see these Wonderbra ads will really be inspired to buy but I personally think the photos are absolutely beautiful in and of themselves. Dita rules, y’all. I just love her.

Well, well now … just about a day after Lindsay Lohan went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss her break-up with Samantha Ronson on national television (telling Ellen that she and Sam are “talking” again), Lindsay was spotted making her way into Samantha‘s LA home yesterday afternoon — and it is being reported that she stayed there for about 5-6 hours. HMMMM. I would take that as a good sign that things are (at the very least) amicable between the former lovebirds. Could a reconciliation really be in the works for L. Ron?

Lindsay Lohan stopped by ex Samantha Ronson’s Hollywood Hills home Thursday afternoon. It’s the same mansion where Lohan, 22, used to live with Ronson, 30, — before the DJ had the locks changed following their breakup and Chateau Marmont blowout fight. X17online.com photographers described Lohan as appearing “calm…[but] happy.” They spent about six hours together. That same afternoon, Ronson changed her relationship status on Facebook to “It’s complicated.” In an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres show that aired Thursday afternoon — around the same time as Lohan’s visit to Ronson’s — the actress admitted the two “are talking.” “I really care about Samantha and we’ll see what happens,” she continued. “Maybe when we’re fully in the right place…I love her.” Days after their April 4 split, Lohan tearfully told Us Weekly she was “so alone” without Ronson.

Oh yes, I would say that things look much better in L. Ron world. The fact that the ladies held a 6 hour summit at Samantha‘s home (the site of so much previous drama, ie. the changing of the locks) is a very good sign that things may be getting back on track. Samantha‘s Facebook relationship status is also a pretty good determiner that things might be getting worked out (the It’s Complicated status is usually reserved for couples who are in the midst of reconciliation). Whatever the case may be, it’s encouraging to me that the ladies are back on friendly terms again. I think it’s wise that they don’t rush back into anything … but talking things over seems like a good next step. Work it out, ladies … I for one am rootin’ for a reunification of L. Ron!!
