Wow! First off, she looks so good … she should smile more often. Second, WTF? is going on that has got Jennifer Aniston look so happy? Actually, I don’t even want to know … I don’t even care. She looks so pretty all smiley … she’s even smiling with her eyes, y’all!!! This is a happy sight to behold, she looks much better in these photos than she does when she’s trying to hide inside coats and blankets and stuff. This is a much better look for her, I hope it’s one that she continues to rock in the coming weeks and months.

Emma Watson Does ‘Interview’ Magazine

Talks about her BFF Karl Lagerfeld
Monday, April 20th, 2009

Emma Watson, who plays Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter films, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Interview magazine. In her coverstory interview, she talks about (among other things) her burgeoning new friendship with fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Whatever in the world could a 75 year old man have in common with a 19 year old girl? Let’s find out … here is Emma’s Interview mag coverphoto and some of her thoughts on her latest BFF:

Harry Potter’s leading lady Emma Watson has been a fixture on the big screen since her acting debut as Hermione Granger at the tender age of 9. And now a decade later, the 19-year-old is telling Interview magazine all about her transformation from child star to glamour girl. While the young Brit has managed to stay out of the tabloids, she has been the talk of the fashion world, rubbing shoulders with some of the world’s most high-profile tastemakers, including Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. “We spent the whole day together,” she says, “and he can talk about anything — literature, art, science, modern culture. I was totally seduced. I felt spoiled to be spending so much time with him.” Yet even with her fabulous fashion connections and big-girl paychecks, Emma remains down-to-earth when it comes to shopping. “I don’t really buy designer stuff. I have a few nice things, but I don’t really have the occasion to wear couture too often,” she says. But when those occasions do pop up, Emma calls on her friends. “I’m typically lent something — which means I have to give it back at midnight, like Cinderella.” Although Emma is considering heading to the U.S. for the Ivy League this year, she’s rumored to be starring in an upcoming Burberry ad campaign — so maybe this won’t be the last the fashion world has seen of her.

Just like I totally believe that Daniel Radcliffe is the sort of young actor that will have a long and very successful career in film, so too do I believe that Emma Watson will as well. I’m amazed at how remarkably grounded the Harry Potter kids are (well, except for the odd one or other who gets arrested for pot possession). I absolutely believe Watson when she says that she has no interest in filling her closet with designer items that she’s never wear. The girl is smart and I like that. After the jump, check out a few photos from Emma’s Interview photospread and see just how stylish this down to Earth girl can be …

Channing Tatum Surfaces In NYC

Lookin' fine as heck
Monday, April 20th, 2009

Channing Tatum, who’s new film Fighting opens in theaters this Friday, was spotted on the streets of NYC earlier today making his way to The CW 11 studios to do some promo work for his new movie … and homeboy was lookin’ migh-ty good:

Fighting is another film where Channing plays a down-and-out, poor white boy who is forced to use his skills (in this instance his fighting skills, as opposed to previous movies where he had to use his dancing skills, etc.) to help him achieve a higher station in life. To be honest, it sounds like the same ol’ song and dance but I don’t really care. There is something about Channing Tatum that makes you want to root for him. He tends to play pretty single-faceted movie characters but his ability to charm is, well, charming. I am not gonna lie … I deffo plan to see Fighting when it opens in theaters. You cast the man in anything and I’m pretty much there. I mean, look at him. Can you blame me?

David Beckham & Fellow Athletes Visit 10 Downing St.

Appear on behalf of Malaria No More
Monday, April 20th, 2009

Athletes David Beckham, Andy Murray and Denise Lewis paid a visit to 10 Downing St. in London, England to remind Prime Minister Gordon Brown on behalf of Malaria No More of the UK’s promise to deliver 20 million mosquito nets to Africa by 2010 … and, apparently, the best way to do that was to show up lookin’ fine and shizz. Here is are a few photos from today’s photo op on Downing St. of the athletes and Prime Minister Brown and some info about their visit:

David Beckham and Andy Murray are usually more preoccupied with football and tennis nets, but on Monday they met UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown in London to discuss malaria nets. Along with former Olympic champion Denise Lewis, they went to Downing Street to remind Brown of Britain’s promise to deliver 20 million of the nets to Africa by 2010. The sports icons have been named as members of the leadership council of new campaign group Malaria No More UK and were helping to mark its launch. “For less than the cost of a football you can protect a family from dying,” said Beckham. “I urge the UK public to get behind the Malaria No More UK campaign to save a life and make malaria no more.” England and AC Milan star Beckham, who hopes to be in South Africa next year for the World Cup finals, posed for pictures outside No. 10 where the front door was draped in a malaria net. “For less than the cost of a football you can protect a family from dying,” he said. “I urge the UK public to get behind the Malaria No More UK campaign to save a life and make malaria no more.” World fourth-ranked tennis ace Murray said: “This is the first global charity I’ve been involved with in this capacity and it was an easy decision. “Malaria is completely preventable and stoppable but yet it still kills more children in Africa than any other single disease.” A year after making the pledge, Britain has delivered some 9.7 million nets to Africa, and a further 1.9 million are on order. Malaria No More UK wants to ensure the Government meets its promise in full as its share of a total of 100 million nets. Around 90 percent of the one million deaths from malaria each year are in Africa, where the disease kills a child every 30 seconds. A single net can protect a mother and child or brother and sister for up to five years. Malaria No More UK executive director Sarah Kline said: “Malaria No More UK is launching a mass campaign to help stop the suffering and death caused by malaria. Our first mission is to help reach the United Nations target of getting everyone at risk in Africa under a bed net by the end of 2010. We are delighted the prime minister has announced today that the UK is has already delivered 9.3 million nets of the 20 million pledged and look forward to seeing the rest delivered on time. We are calling on him to press other EU and G8 governments to deliver their share of the 100 million bed nets they promised last year.”

As you may recall, Ashton Kutcher donated 10,000 mosquito nets to Malaria No More in celebration of his Twitter War win against CNN to become the first user to attain 1 million followers. It sounds like Malaria No More is the charity du jour for the celebrity set … which is awesome because charities like Malaria No More don’t tend to get the same attention that some other charities do. It seems so simple but mosquito nets really do prevent the spread of the deadly disease. I’m sure the 20 million nets promised to Africa by the British government are much needed. Any sight of David Beckham is a welcome one but even more so when he uses his hotness for a good cause. If YOU would like to help Malaria No More, click HERE for more info on how to do so.

Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner Hang With Fans In Vancouver

What the Dill-y, yo?
Monday, April 20th, 2009

Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner took a break from filming the new sequel The Twilight Saga: New Moon to chill with some regular folk at a local bar in Vancouver, Canada and to take in a performance by friend Cecil Sage Dill recently. Here are a couple pics of the pair lookin’ about as normal as can be:

Can I just say how refreshing it is to see a young starlet like Kristen Stewart deign to go out in public sans make-up and happy as can be? I realize that her manner and attitude may be off-putting to some folks but I am totally charmed by her down-to-Earthness. We’ve all had days where all we want to do is be frumpy … good for Kristen for being as frumpy as she wanna be. I understand that the last scenes filmed in the Cullen home set have wrapped and that production is well on schedule. It shant be long before we may start seeing the first footage of the film in some form or another.
