Aussie hottie Hugh Jackman has made his way to Moscow, Russia to make an appearance at a press conference before making his way to the premiere of his new film X-Men Origins: Wolverine this week … here are a few photos of Hugh (rockin’ a smart-lookin’ new hair’do) at his Russian press conference earlier today:

When last we saw Hugh, he was jumpin’ his ass out of a helicopter in Sydney, Australia for a Wolverine premiere screening there and since he’s been making his way around Europe on his movie promo tour. Since his movie was leaked to the Internets a full month before it is due to open in theaters, I’m sure Hugh is workin’ overtime to make sure that as many folks as possible come out to see the film in theaters. From what I’ve heard and read from folks who couldn’t resist and watched the leaked film online, I doubt that the movie’s opening weekend box office will suffer much from the film’s leaking. After all, there are a few scenes in the film where Hugh Jackman bears more than his soul in the flick … interested movie goers who’d like to see his nekkid bum on the big screen are gonna make their way to the theaters — trust me. Matthew McConaughey is featured on the cover of the new issue of Men’s Journal magazine and in his coverstory interview, Matthew talks about his ramblin’ ways, the things he’s learned along the way and shares some of the poignant and important advice offered to him by his father. Here is Matthew‘s Men’s Journal coverphoto and that bit o’ advice he learned from his pappy:

His dad’s advice for how to handle women:
“Now, you’re getting to the age where you’re gonna start messing around with girls,” he says. “So here’s what you’ve got to follow. You’re going to get close, you’re going to get intimate, whatever. If you ever make a move, whether it’s for a kiss or touching her down there, and you feel the slightest bit of resistance, stop. A lot of times, after you stop, they’re going to then say, now it’s okay. Don’t. That time, that day, that’s as far as you go.”

On taking his dad’s advice:
“It’s a great lesson,” McConaughey says. “You do that, and you know what? Women do come back. They say, what? Nobody stops! They want to go out with you again. And eventually you don’t have to stop.”

Zac Efron, who is everywhere these days, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine. In his coverstory interview, Zac discusses his smart plan to keep his partying under wraps, his plans to NOT get married any time soon (sorry, Vanessa Hudgens) and various other topics suitable for a young actor actively promoting the release of a new movie. Zac Efron may be making the leap from teen-dream to grown-up movie star with this weekend’s release of “17 Again,” but don’t expect him to cut loose any time soon. The 21-year-old star told GQ’s May 2009 issue that although he enjoys having alcohol in private with pals, he has no plans to put his partying on parade. “It’s common sense. If you’re gonna be drunk with your friends, don’t get wasted at the Chateau Marmont and hook up with some famous chick,” he told the mag. “It’s not rocket science. I don’t want to be famous for my personality,” Efron continued. “If anything, I keep that under wraps.” While Efron keeps his private life private, he opened up, just a little, about his romantic life, if only to shoot down rumors he and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens have marriage on the mind. “That was such bullshit,” he said of recent nuptial rumors. “I’m definitely not getting married. In this business, you’re either getting married or they want you to be pregnant. I’m not getting married until I’m 40. If ever. The thought never crossed my mind. Maybe not 40. Maybe not until I’m 30,” he quickly corrected himself. In the meantime, Efron is content to be an acting star, something he said he didn’t expect when he was younger. “That was the one thing I wasn’t prepared for. This wasn’t supposed to work, y’know?” he noted. “There’s 150 guys that are just like me, except more talented, and they probably deserve to be out here. It’s a fluke.” And maybe because Efron considers his success “a fluke,” he’s sought out advice from his elder peers, like 34-year-old Leonardo DiCaprio. “I thought I was gonna ask him questions,” Efron said of their meeting. “He ended up asking me questions, and in that, he told me a lot. He said, ‘There’s one way that you can really fuck this all up. Just do heroin. If you steer clear of that — the other obstacles you’ll be able to navigate.’ And that makes sense, dude.”

Last night David and I met up with our good friend Sashie and her BFF Kelly for dinner at Pure Food and Wine for a dinner of raw food (all vegan, no meat or dairy). I admit, I was very nervous about the prospect of an entirely raw food dinner (especially since I was starving) but Sashie has impeccable taste so I figured it was worth trusting her … and boy am I glad that I did. Dinner was amazing … but the highlight, really, was getting to see Sashie and her beautiful burgeoning baby bump:

As you may recall, David and I flew to Jackson Hole, WY last August to attend Sashie’s wedding to her amazing hubby Will … and since then, she’s gotten pregs. I had not been able to see her since I heard the news so I was very anxious to see how beautiful she looks. I was not disappointed (but, unfortch for me, I look more pregs in this photo than Sashie does ;). Sashie and her friend Kelly have to be two of the coolest, funnest, most interesting people I’ve had the pleasure to know. We had a grand time last night.

This afternoon, David and I fly back to SoCal as our time in NYC has come to a quick end. I’ve been having such a nice time, I actually miss being here often. That said, I’m still thrilled that David and I live together on the Left Coast … but it’s nice to be back in the city every once in a while … I shall be back. But, it’s time to return to our lurve nest back home. Barring any complications, I should be blogging from home again tomorrow morn.

Taylor Lautner, in semi-full Jacob Black costuming (ie. the wig), came out to meet and greet briefly with a gaggle of young admirers in Vancouver, Canada (where The Twilight Saga: New Moon is currently being filmed) recently and made a few lives complete by posting for photos with his female fans:

OK, so mebbe the ladies were not swooning and fainting at the mere sight of Mr. Lautner but I still think it’s really cool that Taylor took the time to come out and chill with the ladies. While I’m pretty sure that Team Jacob isn’t as massive as Team Edward is, it’s nice to know that Taylor is aware of his fanbase and is willing to spend as much time with his fans as he can. It’s a shame that Robert Pattinson cannot do the same … altho, if R.Pattz did come out to meet even a small group of Twilight fans, he’d prolly not be allowed to escape with his life.

It was previously reported that Hilary Duff would be guest starring on an upcoming episode of Law & Order: SVU (as well as the Ghost Whisperer) but at the time of that reporting, no information about what Hilary‘s role would be or when the ep would air on TV was available. Today, we finally have that information as well as our first look at Hilary on the set of L&O: SVU:

Hilary‘s ep of SVU will air on April 28 and she will play a “young and irresponsible mother” named Ashlee Walker who comes under the watchful investigation of the SVU heroes when Ashlee‘s young daughter Sierra goes missing (cue the dramatic music). There has yet to be any info regarding Duff‘s appearance on Ghost Whisperer but her role has been described as “mysterious” (I’m guessing, a ghost?). Additionally, Hilary Duff has signed on to appear in a new TV series called Barely Legal where she will play a young woman who passes the California Bar exam at the age of 18 to become the youngest practicing lawyer in the State … I presume it’s a comedy. It’s nice to see that Hilary will be going back to her acting roots in the coming weeks and months. As you prolly know, Hilary has been keeping herself bizzy with her music career but how many Greatest Hits albums can one person release before they move on to something more interesting? I, for one, am really looking forward to Hilary‘s return to the small screen. It’s been ages since I’ve had a Lizzie Maguire fix so … bring it on, Hil D!

When Tori Spelling isn’t feuding in public with her estranged mother Candy Spelling, she is bizzy throwing book release parties … like she did in LA last night in celebration of the release of her second book Mommywood. As you may recall, we got our first look at the cover artwork for Mommywood back in February but today is the day that the book is available for purchase. Here are a few photos from Tori‘s book release party last night:

Tori Spelling revealed a dramatically thinner look at the launch of her new book in Hollywood last night. But the actress who has lost even more weight since the birth of her baby last year appeared to be having trouble holding up the weighty tome. Tori arrived with husband Dean McDermott, son Liam, 2, and baby daughter Stella, 10 months. Dressed in an emerald green babydoll dress, the 35-year-old cut a rather sinewy figure compared to the healthier look she unveiled back in January when she unveiled her post-baby body. The mother of two, who gave birth to Stella in June, has returned to the programme that made her name, Beverly Hills 90210 playing Donna Martin, the same character she played on late father Aaron Spelling’s original TV show.

YES! In addition to the release of Tori‘s second book, today is also the day that Tori returns as Donna Martin on tonight’s new episode of 90210. After many months of hemming and hawing (and unsuccessful attempts to work out a financial deal that satisfied everyone), Tori reprises the role that made her famous in tonight’s new ep. While I’m sure that many folks are excited to have a new book to read from Tori Spelling (like my friend Mike, who I’m sure has already ran out to buy his copy), I’m more excited about seeing Tori on 90210 tonight. Because David and I will be flying back to LA on JetBlue, we will be able to watch the show when it airs on The CW tonight. Woot!! Are any of y’all excited for this book or are you more amped about Donna Martin‘s return to 90210?

It’s been quite some time since we heard from Candy Spelling via one of her famous Open Letters but the time has come, once again, for Mama Spelling to post a new public message to her estranged daughter Tori Spelling:

Yesterday I posted a newslink to a new interview with Tori Spelling wherein she talks about how much she loves her mother and how things are not as bad between them as the public may believe:

Tori Spelling insists that the supposed rift between her and her mother, Candy Spelling, isn’t nearly as bad as it’s been made out to be. “It’s not like we’re not talking, we just haven’t talked,” the actress, whose new book, Mommywood, hits bookstores Tuesday, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “I love my mother. I’ve always loved her [and] no doubt she loves me. There’s no feud. We simply never meshed.”

In response to these new comments from Tori (and to new excerpts from Tori‘s new book Mommywood, in stores today), Candy has posted a new open letter to her daughter on CandySpelling.com refuting the claim that the pair are not estranged and pleads that Tori “step up” and reach out to her … she writes:

“You haven’t responded to my emails, phone calls and text messages. You say you look at my website, so I’m trying to reach you that way. I want to see you and your family – in private, like the ‘normal family’ you say always wanted.”
