What's 'YRB'? Who cares?
Channing Tatum Does ‘YRB’ Magazine

When last we were able to feast our eyes on Channing Tatum, star of the upcoming film Fighting and the Summer blockbusters Public Enemies and G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, he was gracing the ingénue section of Vanity Fair magazine … today we learn that he is featured on the cover …

… and in the pages of …

YRB magazine. I must confess that I am no familiar with YRB mag but by the looks of its website, it appears to cover topics like music, film, fashion and travel. Very, very interesting. But I’m kinda all about the pics of Channing so … that’s about all I need to know. The photos are pretty and dramatic … let’s just say they’re pretty dramatic. While I’d prefer a little less clothing (and a little more skin) I can’t say that I have much to complain about. Channing is the hotness, so I’m gonna be a fan of any mag that features him. Here’s hoping there will be more magazine covers (with accompanying sexy photospreads) that feature Mr. Tatum in the weeks and months to come. With 3 movies on the horizon, we should have lots of Channing Tatum to look forward to.

No Chandler Bing for you
Matthew Perry Will Not Be Appearing In The Series Finale Of ‘Lost’

Contrary to rampant rumors flying around the Internets this week, it is with a heavy heart that I have to pass along the sad info that Matthew Perry (who famously played the character of Chandler Bing on 10 seasons of the NBC hit show Friends) will NOT be appearing in the series finale of Lost as is being reported around the Internets (and which originated on the IMDB):

It’s not every day that we get to solve a “Lost” mystery, but today we most certainly can. The Internet’s been buzzing since yesterday with the “Lost” news that Matthew Perry — also known as Chandler Bing — is appearing in the season finale of “Lost.” A sleuth found the secret casting news on IMDB, with a character name and everything. ABC immediately denied this, but we are of a suspicious nature, so we kept digging. What we found is that nowhere on the island of Smoke Monsters and four-toed statues has there ever been an actor named Matthew Perry. He’s not there in 1977. He’s not there in 2009. And he wasn’t there in 2004 when the Oceanic 815 crashed. Whoever added the part to Perry’s resume was playing a dirty trick on us, Losties. Three island sources have now confirmed what ABC debunked. Our money’s on Benjamin Linus. You know how that guy likes to mess with our heads.

I can’t say that I’m surprised that this rumor turned out to be false … but can we just think for a minute how amazing the Lost island would be if it had a bit of Chandler Bing on it? I might actually make a point to watch the show for reals again. Ah well, the rumor was fun while it lasted :)

The TV Guide
Best Passover Ever

Last night I was fortunate to be able to partake of the Hauslaib family Seder dinner for Passover (after missing out last year) and a great time was had by all. As usual, the Seder dinner table was laid out for all and the ceremonial dinner itself was delicious … the Finger Puppets of the 10 Plagues of Egypt that David and I brought to the party were a big hit … twas fun, twas fun:

Because the Seder ceremony calls for 4 glasses of wine (!!!) I was pretty much done for the night after it was all said and done. I curled up inside my Snuggie and kinda passed out on the couch:

And that was my night :)

I do have to send out much love and thanks to the folks on Twitter who helped me retrieve all of the photos that I accidentally deleted on my BlackBerry (including some of the photos above). In the span of about 10 mins, I had deleted 89 photos off my phone’s memory card, I got help on how to retrieve and successfully got all 89 photos back. Twitter is a wonder, thank you all for your help.

It’s cold and dreary out today so I’m not sure where what the plan is for tonight but … it’s great to be here. Woot!

Just a tease
First Look: Heidi Montag, ‘Look How I’m Doin’

Yesterday we saw photos of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt filming an impromptu music video for her new single Look How I’m Doin’ outside Crown Bar in LA earlier this week. Today, we get to see the initial fruits of their labor. Speidi have already released a teaser vid that features scenes presumably from the final music video:

HMMM. On the one hand it doesn’t have the same production value that her last music video for Overdosin’ does but … yeah, I guess there aren’t any other hands. In other Speidi news, Spencer has been going buckwild on Twitter in recent weeks and has been uploading personal pics to his account, including these particular photos … one of Spencer with a cute Easter bunny and one of Spencer with an automatic rifle:

You gotta love a multifaceted person like this, right? Happy Easter!!

Can you guess?
Which Celeb Mom Likes To Coach Softball?

Here is a picture of an A-List celeb mom taking on the role of softball coach with her children at the softball field on the campus of UCLA in Westwood, CA earlier this week:

It’s hard to tell who it is because of the face mask (obvs, otherwise there would be no game) but if you look closely at this person’s hair color and stature, you might be able to venture a correct guess. She does have two children and is currently unmarried. After the jump, find out who it is …

Chris Pine Does ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine

Chris Pine, who steps into the iconic role as Captain James T. Kirk in the upcoming JJ Abrams-directed Star Trek prequel, is featured in the pages of the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine. Here is manly-looking photo of Chris taken for the mag (but could pass for an advert for J. Crew or Banana Republic) and the VF piece on his new gig as Capt. Kirk:

It’s been a while since Hollywood had a bona fide homegrown movie star: they tend to come from places like Missouri or Kentucky, not Studio City. But here’s Chris Pine, 28 years old, native to “the Valley,” and soon to be seen on-screen as the new Captain Kirk in director J. J. Abrams’s young-guns reboot of the original Star Trek. Pine didn’t slip effortlessly into William Shatner’s double-knits. “There have been, like, three auditions in my life where I feel like I’m in a Saturday Night Live skit. One was for Avatar”—James Cameron’s upcoming science-fiction epic—“which was probably the worst audition I ever gave. Another was for 10,000 bc, where I was just, like, on my haunches pretending to be in a loincloth in Burbank.” Pine laughs. “Then the other one was Star Trek. It was all this jargon talk of torpedoes and photons,” which, needless to say, didn’t quite trip off the tongue. Fortunately, he got a second chance seven months later and nailed it. Pine, who graduated from U.C. Berkeley, comes from two generations of actors: his father, Robert Pine, has 200-odd television shows to his credit; his grandmother is B-movie actress Anne Gwynne, who was often seen in horror films. Chris Pine isn’t jaded, but neither is he naïve. “I know where I come from and what I want and why I got into [show business]. I know the reality of it. I just hope that I have longevity in my career.”

It is my personal belief that if Chris Pine stays away from trying to mimic William Shatner‘s version of James T. Kirk then he will prolly do just fine in the role. I don’t think anyone wants to see the new kid trying to act and sound like the old guy for the course of the Star Trek prequel. Judging by looks alone, Abrams did a great job with casting the parts … every member of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew looks like an earlier incarnation of the characters that we all know already. As long as the writing is good (as I’m sure it is) then the new kids on the deck will do just fine. I’m really looking forward to see them all in action. After the jump, check out a few outtake photos of Chris from this VF magazine photoshoot …

Bump watch!
Nicole Richie Takes The Bump On An Errand Run

Expectant mother Nicole Richie (who is happy to show off her firstborn baby girl Harlow Winter as much as she can) stepped out to run a few errands in town before continuing on for a quick shopping jaunt this weekend to peruse and pick up a few things at Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills, CA … she chose a figure hugging white outfit to show off how big her bump has gotten in recent weeks … behold:

Pregnant Nicole Richie looked effortlessly elegant as she showed off her growing baby bump in a flowing white dress. With her hair swept up in a classic bun and sporting a pair of over-sized shades the reality star looked every inch the fashionable mum-to-be. The 27-year-old star was spotted arriving at an office building on Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard clutching a drink from Starbucks. She later left the building and was driven away in a Silver Mercedes. The Simple Life star is expecting her second child with her longtime boyfriend, Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. Their one-year-old daughter Harlow was born in January last year and Nicole is thought to be expecting her next arrival around September. Nicole, who is the adopted daughter of singer Lionel Richie, has been inspired by her second pregnancy to launch her own maternity fashion line. The busy mum has already launched her own jewellery line called The House of Harlow 1960, named after her daughter. Her collection, which launched in the U.S. last year features Art Deco-inspired designs in rock-chic black leather and gold.

OMG, Nicole looks great. It doesn’t seem like that long ago that she was pregs with Harlow and here were are on baby #2. Now that Alyson Hannigan has birthed her baby, Nicole can step in as the reigning cutest pregs celeb of the moment. It’s nice to see Nicole lookin’ all curvy again … she is such a small woman, the curves suit her well, I think. This is a bump watch that I am looking forward to following for the coming months.

Apparently was unaware that he should be funny

High School Musical heartthrob and star of the upcoming film 17 Again Zac Efron is hosting this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live for the first time ever. In order to try and convince viewers to tune in to watch the show, NBC films short commercial vids featuring the guest host, an SNL castmember (or two) and sometimes the musical guest in order to promote the show. Here is a HULU video of all three SNL commercial vids — that feature Zac Efron, SNL castmember Kristen Wiig and this week’s musical guest Yeah Yeah Yeahs — to promote tonight’s ep:

I sincerely hope that tonight’s ep of SNL will be funnier than these short clips. I’ll still be tuning in but … these vids do nothing to convince me that Zac is up to the task of carrying an entire episode of SNL. We shall see.
