Who Wants To Play With Bella Swan, Edward Cullen & Jacob Black?

Cuz now you can!
Friday, April 10th, 2009

Last December we learned that the Tonner Doll Company was releasing a set of dolls of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen from the big screen adaptation of the book Twilight. Today, we get our first look at the new set of dolls from the Tonner company created for the upcoming new film The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Say hello to the doll versions of Bella, Edward and Jacob Black:

Now, fans of The Twilight Saga can play to their heart’s content with these 3 dolls … placing them in whatever kind of fun scenarios they can dream up! How fun!! The mind boggles at all the fun predicaments that one can place these three dolls in and out of … depending on your proclivities, the possibilities are endless! I’m not sure if the Jacob doll is available for sale just yet (he is not yet listed on the Tonner website) but I’d suggest saving your pennies now … the dolls each sell for about $120. Prices this high seems to suggest that these particular dolls are meant for an adult audience. Again, imagine all the adult play that YOU can enjoy with dolls like these :)

Speidi Film A New Music Video

DIY
Friday, April 10th, 2009

Earlier today we learned that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have set a wedding date of Saturday April 25 for the pair to “officially” say I Do … but that doesn’t mean we’ve heard the last of them for today. Here are a few photos of Speidi at Crown Bar in LA last night filming a DIY home-made music video for Heidi’s new single Look How I’m Doin’:

I understand the couple hosted a listening party for the single at the club last night and decided to use the opportunity to film a music video for the track. Any chance to writhe on top of a car, I suppose. If Heidi’s last music video for her song Overdosin’ is any indication then this music video is bound to feature the same quality and attention to detail. I believe this track and another from Heidi Montag are now available for purchase on iTunes. You might want to get online and order your copies now … before they sell out. Wait, what am I saying … Speidi would never sell out, right?

Matilda Rose Swings Into Town

WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Friday, April 10th, 2009

Here are a few cute pics of Michelle Williams and friend taking her daughter Matilda Rose out for a lovely afternoon stroll in Brooklyn, NY this week … as you can tell by the photos, the little Miss appears to be having the time of her life:

It is really great seeing Matilda (and her mom) looking so happy … especially in the wake of the tragic loss of Heath Ledger last year. I realize that one cannot mourn forever and Matilda is still very young, so seeing her look this happy and content is really heartwarming. I remember getting swung like that when I was a kid … it’s too bad we grow out of things like that.

Robert Downey, Jr. Needs A Lift On The Set Of ‘Iron Man 2’

Heel, boy
Friday, April 10th, 2009

Earlier this week we got our first look at photos of Robert Downey, Jr. reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Gwyneth Paltrow reprising her role as Pepper Potts on the set of Iron Man 2, which began filming in SoCal on Monday. Today we get to check out a couple new photos of RDJ on the Iron Man 2 set … you may want to pay particular attention to the man’s footwear:

LOL. Those are some heels on those shoes, y’all. I imagine that the shoes are for scenes where RDJ’s character needs to appear taller than he actually is. It was very nice of Tom Cruise to lend RDJ the shoes, don’t you think?

Harlow Winter Plays The Piano

"Harlow gives Joel a music lesson"
Friday, April 10th, 2009

Nicole Richie, who just recently launched her official website at NicoleRichie.com, is sharing a new photo of her adorable baby girl Harlow Winter showing her dad Joel Madden a thing or two on the keyboard as the pair chilled out in the Good Charlotte studio earlier this week … behold:

As you may recall, Joel recently posted a cute pic of him and Harlow on his official Twitter profile so it’s clear that the proud parents are happy to share their joy with the world by all sorts of electronic means. Here’s hoping the parents are just as willing to share when the couple welcomes the birth of their second child, currently incubating in Nicole’s womb.

The Beckham Boys Play With, Say Goodbye To David Beckham

Short but sweet
Friday, April 10th, 2009

This past Monday we got to see a whole slew of fun pics of the Beckham boys — Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz — enjoying a lovely afternoon of play at a park in Milan, Italy. The boys only had their manny/bodyguard and each other to play with on that particular day … but today we get to check out a few more pics of the boys getting in some playtime with their father David Beckham:

Becks has been really bizzy with his new soccer team AC Milan in the past few weeks (and Victoria Beckham has been bizzy trying to make shoulder pads happen) but he did make some time for his sons so that he could spend time with them before they had to pack up and leave for home. It looks like the Beckham men had a great time together. But, like all good things, the boys’ trip to Milan had to end. Here are a couple pics of VB leading her sons thru the airports in Milan and then in London earlier today:

Vicky B. and the boys may stay in the UK for a bit but they have to be getting back to SoCal so that the older boys can get back to school. I imagine it is kinda difficult for the boys to be this far removed from their father but, I guess, duty calls. Should Becks’s stay with AC Milan become more permanent (as it is likely to do once he fulfills the new terms of his contract with the LA Galaxy), I suspect the family will be moving back to Europe to try and minimize all of this separation.

TGI Good Friday

The TV Guide
Friday, April 10th, 2009

Welp, I made it all the away across the country yesterday so that I could be here in Connecticut for the Hauslaib family Passover Seder dinner. My flight was pretty uneventful … but I did get to catch up on some reading that’s been piling up in the past few weeks. I finally got around to reading the amazing little 1935 travel book Letters from Iceland written by poets WH Auden and Louis MacNeice:

The book has long been out of print and I was unable to get a copy of it before David’s and my first trip to Iceland last September. When the book finally did arrive, I planned to read it on our flight over to Iceland in December but … well, that trip kinda didn’t happen so back on the shelf the book went. Reading it now, altho set in an Iceland of the past, makes me want to go back in the worst way. I just love it there. I found my copy of Letters from Iceland from the amazing site Alibris.com which offers out of print books at very reasonable prices (tho, a quick search now shows that the book goes for $80+ but I managed to get it for about $15 last Fall).

I also read in full the Stephen King novella/short story UR which was written and is available exclusively for the Amazon Kindle electronic book:

I really do not want to spoil the story for any of you interested in reading it — trust me, it’s best if you read it cold. But I will reveal that the Kindle features prominently in the story (a pink Kindle, to be exact) and is absolutely a must read for any King fan. You got a Kindle? You gotta read this story.

Other than that, tho, the trip was pretty standard … I had a short layover in Philly and was very excited to see that they have a Chick-Fil-A inside the airport there … unfortch for me, tho, the damn place was closed :( I almost cried, y’all. But I cheered up considerably when David picked me up at the airport. Seder is in a few hours so … let the Passoverness commence!!
