Hugh Jackman Bears His Buns In ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Earlier today we learned that the US Federal Bureau of Investigations has launched an investigation into the leaking of the new film X-Men Origins: Wolverine to the Internets a couple of days ago … but I’m happy to report that some good has come from the film’s leakage. It turns out that Hugh Jackman has a nude scene in the film where he briefly bares his buns on camera:

I mean, forget paying for movie trailers, forget paying for advertising … you just tell people that Hugh Jackman is nekkid in the film and I guarantee the film will have much success at the box office. After the jump, check out the uncensored NSFW versions of these screencaps from X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Marc Jacobs Finally Puts A Ring On It

Single lady no longer
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

After being led to believe that Marc Jacobs secretly married his boyfriend Lorenzo Martone last Summer, we learned just a few weeks ago that the couple have finally officially gotten engaged and are in the process of planning their nuptials (and mebbe adopting a baby girl??). Here are a couple pics of Marc and Lorenzo in NYC where Marc was proud to show off his new engagement bling as the couple made their way out of the Topshop VIP dinner at Balthazar last night:

It’s about time someone made an honest woman out of Marc Jacobs. His love life has been rocky and tumultuous (to say the least) in recent years but he has settled down considerably since he met Lorenzo. They make a fine couple and I’m glad to know that they are taking this big step together. Hopefully, after they say their I Dos, the couple really will adopt a little girl (as rumored) … don’t you think they’d make the best 2 days since Greg Evigan and Paul Reiser?

Violet Anne Affleck Is A Little Sweetheart

Obvs
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Here are a couple of really cute pics of Violet Anne Affleck showing off just how much she loves chocolate on a recent visit to TCBY for a quick dessert fix … behold:

SOOOO cute. Violet has grown into such a cute little girl, she is such a doll. It really doesn’t seem that long ago that she was but a baby and now she’s a big kid who is the big sister to newborn Seraphina Rose Elizabeth. My, how time flies. While I think that Violet looks so cute with all that chocolate on her face, it’s pics like these that remind me how NOT ready for kids I am ;) But the Afflecks do have adorable children … chocofaces or not.

Bravo TV Readies Release Of Their ‘Project Runway’ Clone

'The Fashion Show' is comin' your way
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Now that the legal wrangling between NBC Universal (which owns Bravo TV, the original home of Project Runway) and The Weinstein Company (which owns Project Runway and plans to move the show to Lifetime TV) is a done deal (meaning Project Runway is now free to air on Lifetime), Bravo TV is ready to release their new competitive reality TV series that pits fashion designers against one another for a cash prize. Sound familiar? I think that’s the point. Hosts Issac Mizrahi (the Heidi Klum?) and Kelly Rowland (the Tim Gunn?) will head The Fashion Show when it debuts on Bravo in early May. Senior vice president of the IMG Fashion company Fern Mallis is also featured on the show (the Michael Kors and Nina Garcia all wrapped into one?) which will allow viewers to have a say in which designer will win the challenges. Here is a group shot of the hosts and contestants of The Fashion Show along with all the released info about the series that is currently available:

Roll out the runway — Bravo will premiere its latest foray into fashion reality TV, launching its aptly titled The Fashion Show on May 7 (10 p.m, ET) with a fleet of 15 designers from around the globe. Hosted by Kelly Rowland and Isaac Mizrahi, the new show will give the creative hopefuls the chance to sell their designs and win $125,000. Also joining the hosts on the judging panel: Fern Mallis, the senior vice president of IMG Fashion, and a familiar face for Project Runway viewers. In a twist, The Fashion Show will allow viewers to participate and pick the winning designer among the finalists. Each week the contestants will be given two challenges, one that will be judged by Harpers Bazaar special projects director Laura Brown, and one elimination challenge.

OMG … this is hilarious and not at all surprising. If Bravo has to lose PR then they have to replace it with something else to try and keep hold of the PR audience. There appear to be many similarities between the two shows … which could be a good thing since that would mean double the fashion designer drama. I’m totally gonna reserve judgment until the show airs in May but … I’m curious. After the jump, check out two more photos of the hosts and contestants of The Fashion Show along with a short video introduction of the competing fashion designers (BE WARNED: the vid clip autoplays) …

The FBI Is Now Investigating The ‘Wolverine’ Movie Leak

Oooooh, someone's gonna get it
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Yesterday we learned that an unfinished workprint version of the new film X-Men Origins: Wolverine was leaked to the Internets and immediately made its way around the world one month ahead of the film’s opening in theaters. As a result, the movie studio quickly put the clamp down on the leak and has removed all copies of the film (that they could find) from various online sites. Also, the US Federal Bureau of Investigations has been enlisted to determine the source of the leak so that that party (or parties) can be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Thus far, the leak seems to have originated in Australia … but the FBI is still lookin’ to find the particular varmint responsible for leaking the film:

The FBI are investigating the online leak of an almost finished copy of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a month before the film’s cinema release. The Hugh Jackman film was downloaded an estimated several 100,000 times from file sharing websites on Tuesday. 20th Century Fox confirmed the copy had now been removed and the FBI informed. The studio behind Wolverine stated: “The source of the initial leak and any subsequent postings will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” “The courts have handed down significant criminal sentences for such acts” the studio noted. Both the FBI and the Motion Picture Association of America are “actively investigating” the crime. The film is not due for release until 29 April in the UK and 1 May in the US. Fox called the leaked movie a “stolen, incomplete and early version”. Viewers reported that green screens and wires attached to actors were still visible. One user wrote on film website aintitcool.com: “The CGI is missing and the movie looks horrible without it. “Even if you see the workprint you’re still going to have to go see it in the theatre to fully experience the full movie with CGI effects fully intact.” Fox confirmed the film “was without many effects and had missing scenes and temporary sound and music.” A statement from the studio said that once the film was discovered online they “immediately contacted the appropriate legal authorities and had it removed”. The studio added that because their content is forensically marked they should be able to trace the person who uploaded it. A brief caption at the beginning of the film reads ‘Rising Sun Pictures’ and is dated 2 March, 2009. According to its website, Rising Sun Pictures is an Australian visual effects company that worked on the film and is currently working on production of Terminator Salvation. However, there is no evidence to suggest the company was involved in the leak. The Federation Against Copyright Theft said a leak of this kind was extremely unusual as pre-release security had been tightened in recent years. Access to a whole film is severely restricted, with post production workers being given small portions of the movie to work on and measures put in place to stop it being copied on to disc. Spokesperson Eddy Leviten explained: “No-one working on a film in any capacity wants to see their hard work released through illegal means – piracy is not a fun thing.” Although several reviews of the incomplete film have appeared online, Fox was quick to praise the reaction of web users to the leak. “We are encouraged by the support of fansites condemning piracy and this illegal posting and pointing out that such theft undermines the enormous efforts of the filmmakers and actors and, above all, hurts fans of the film” the studio said.

I’m pretty sure that investigators are gonna sniff out the source of the leak and I’m SURE that whoever is responsible will be made an example of. This leak is a huge blow to the filmmakers of this movie and to the entire Motion Picture Association as a whole. They must find and punish the guilty party to dissuade others from attempting to pull off the same coup. Again, I can understand some people’s curiosity but for me the real fun is seeing the finished, polished product on the big screen … with a huge bucket of popcorn and an obscene cup of Coca-Cola. Bootlegged or unfinished versions of films are so … cheap. As a movie fan, I’d much prefer to pay to see the finished product in the form it was meant to be seen.

There’s Something To Be Said For Subtlety

The TV Guide
Thursday, April 2nd, 2009

Okay, it’s time to fess up … no, David and I are not engaged to be wed. While some of you may not have been cool with my little joke, David and I actually got a kick out of it. As I said, it’s so hard to pull off an April Fool’s joke that has any semblance of believability … but a subtle mention of something plausible has a chance at being successful. I swear, some of my best friends had to ask me if I was joking or not. I thought about concocting some story about how David and I eloped but there is no way that would’ve worked. I promise, if any such engagement does occur — I’ll make sure to make it clear to all y’all :) Much love to the many of you who had kind things to say about our “good news”. Trust me, we not be officially engaged but David and I are the best we’ve ever been and we are very, very happy together :)

So … let’s move on. Last night, David and I attended the taping of American Idol (as guests of one of the judges, I might add) and had a great time. We were excited to see Lady Gaga but also to watch the taping of the show. Here are the fancy tickets that we had waiting for us:

Hee hee … we did not get any screentime but in one of the wide audience shots I could make out where we were sitting. I wore a bright yellow t-shirt so I was able to pick out our blurry likenesses. We had a great time … much love to the folks at AI for taking such great care of us — we had a blast :)

Tonight, Darion and I are heading out to see Lily Allen in concert … I’m soooo excited. I’m sure it’ll be a great time. Hopefully I’ll have pics to share!!!

Again, hopefully there aren’t any hard feelings … it was April Fool’s after all :)
