‘Wonder’-ful Plans Ahead
The TV Guide

Today is going to be a pretty great day … this afternoon, David and I are planning to see Watchmen (since I opted out of seeing it at midnight last night) in the middle of day to avoid the crush of movie-goers who will be showing up at around the 7 o’clock hour … but that ain’t even the best news. Tonight, I’m meeting up with my friend Gillian and we are going to the Catalina Jazz Club to see Lynda Carter perform live in concert:

For those of y’all who aren’t aware, Lynda very famously played Wonder Woman on the TV series of the same name in the late 70′s and early 80′s … and was my first love ever:

Without going into my crazy childhood fandom, let me just say that Wonder Woman was the first woman I ever wanted to marry. I was 5 and I was sure that she would be my wife. As y’all are well aware, my life didn’t really turn out that way but I still have a deep love for WW and Lynda Carter herself. To be able to see this woman live and in person — singing — is a treat I never knew I’d be able to have. I understand that she is releasing a new album and is doing some shows here in SoCal and in NYC to promote it. Honestly, she could just sing the phonebook (to borrow a phrase from Paula Abdul on American Idol) and I’d be thrilled. I’m hoping against hope that I will be able to meet her tonight … if I get a photo with Wonder Woman, I’ll die. Period.

Soooo exciting.

Other than that … the sun is shining, the rain is gone for good and life is good. Happy weekend, y’all!!

I wanted to be just like her when I was little. Yes I had the costume and did a lot of pretending I was the great Wonder Woman! How old is she now? She looks damn good wow.

A picture that’s NOT photoshopped!! Wow! She may be pinned and tucked and taped into that costume, but it’s neat to see REAL hips/thighs on a woman! Even though you have to go back in time to find pics like that. I loved WonderWoman too… I had what I thought were the coolest WonderWoman pajamas..lol… anyway – I hope you can get a picture with her, Trent!! :)
