As promised and in celebration of the upcoming NIN/JA Tour that will feature co-headliners Nine Inch Nails, Jane’s Addiction and Tom Morello‘s new project Street Sweeper, Trent Reznor launched the new site www.NINJA2009.com earlier this morning. Visitors to the site are offered the opportunity to download a 6 song EP that features unreleased tracks from all three bands (2 songs from each). Here is what the artwork for the EP looks like:

The tour sampler offers FREE studio versions of the previously unreleased Nine Inch Nails outtake tracks Not So Pretty Now and Non-Entity that were recorded during the With Teeth album sessions. Non-Entity appears on the Beside You In Time DVD but neither track has ever been officially made available by TR … until now. The two Jane’s Addiction tracks, Chip Away and Whores, appear to be from the recording sessions for their new album (which, I understand, was produced by Trent Reznor). The two Street Sweeper tracks, Clap for the Killers and The Oath, are our first tastes of Tom Morello‘s new project. I’ve already listened to all of the tracks twice now and they rock. What a great way to get amped up for the coming NIN/JA Tour. Head on over to NINJA2009.com NOW to download this free music … you won’t be disappointed.

wow, very cool. the jane’s addiction tracks are new recordings of songs that appear on their first album, which was recorded live in 1987. pretty sweet!
Totally frickin’ awesome. Love the songs, too. Would gladly pay for anything NIN, but find it very cool that Trent gifts the music.
I’ve said it before, NIN totally needs to hire you to do promo for them. Half of the stuff I know about what’s what with them comes from your site. Looking forward to hearing Non-Entity.
@kittycatastrophe – it is a job that i am happy to do, passing along the word of NIN is an honor :)
