The logo ‘ScFy’ means they can now disassociate themselves with science fiction (sci-fi) altogether and play what ever ol’ rubbish they want.

I actually just found out that I still have the SciFi channel, it had just switched from like 174 to 45 or something. I thought my cable provider had just gotten rid of it.
And Stargate Atlantis was on SciFi? Eff me, I had no idea what channel it was on, I only watched it on the Sky networks in the UK. Wish I’d known what channel it was on. And that it’s not on anymore. Guess I’ll have to expand my DVD collection. =(
Other good shows that were on (in repeats at least):
Sliders (I think anyway, and it was only good for maybe a season after Roger Daltrey appeared.)
Dark Shadows (cheesy 60s vampire soap opera, FTW!)

Nooooo!!! I love the Sci-Fi channel, why can’t they just leave it be?
Out of the hundreds of thousands of dollars they’re probably using to implement this change and promote it, why don’t they use that to bring back Stargate Atlantis?

yeah the name change is lame, and I liked the old logo as well. I haven’t had sci-fi for awhile (comcast … booooo) but I used to love all the star trek reruns.

Ugh. I think the name change is lame. I love the network (especially BSG!!) but wish they would just leave the name as is.

The name change is dumb, but whatever. I am a huge fan of the network and my love of the often crappy SyFy movies that they show on the weekends is legendary. I thought Battlestar kinda sucked last Friday.
