‘New Moon’s Wolf Pack Roam The Streets Of Vancouver
Last week we saw the first photos of some of the actors that have been cast to play the Quileute characters in the Twilight sequel New Moon. Taylor Lauter, who plays Jacob Black, was spotted with his new co-stars Alex Meraz, Bronson Pelletier and Tyson Houseman having lunch with Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz in Vancouver, Canada. Today we get to see Meraz out and about with two other actors hired to play Quileute characters — Chaske Spencer and Kiowa Gordon … behold:
Now, call me suspicious but don’t these guys look awfully styled to just be walking around town as if they don’t expect to be photographed? Each guy is wearing a different styled outfit and each seems too put together for a simple stroll in town. My guess is that these new actors may have been instructed to pay a visit to the film’s wardrobe stylist before they go out in public together just in case they get photographed by the paps (especially since they are new actors). I know it may sound a bit paranoid, but this sort of thing happens all the time. The movie producers are well aware that there is much demand to get photos of the castmembers in public … it would make sense for them to not only be aware of that fact but to take advantage of it as well. Again, not that this is a problem at all … but these pics really look to me like the guys are on a photoshoot rather than just randomly walking around in town. It’s a smart move. The Twilight Saga will most likely be a huge money-maker in the long run … it can’t hurt to maximize the potential every turn. What do y’all think … am I just inferring more than is actually there?

Anyone from Vancouver know where these shots were taken? I think it looks like Granville Street, but I am wondering where they are HIDING!!! :)

Trent, can’t they just go out in public looking well-groomed for their own good? My brothers go out into public looking like that most of the time, and they aren’t famous at all. Can’t blame them for having great style..

Knowing you’re going to be photographed because you’re apart of a huge movie franchise would make me dress better too. :)

I think that most of the shots have been around yaletown. I heard a rumor that some of the cast have been staying at Opus, one of the more exclusive hotels.

Haha that top pic def looks like it should be the cover of their debut album…it has a very boyband feel to it. They look good for the roles for now I guess, but I still maintain all the pack has some bulking up to do, not just Taylor.

I heard from a friend that they were doing some filming in a park in Coquitlam, don’t know which one though…..what I would give to know where they are filming and catch a glimpse

They definitely look styled to me; but what a breath of fresh air. Robert Pattinson is a very attractive young man, but never makes an effort. Kudos to these guys for caring about their appearance.

I love their outfits! I’m not complaining; they look whether or not it’s their personal style or if it was picked out for them.

Well if people cant go out looking good without having the expertise of a stylist then thats too bad. Im pretty sure if there are some people that can put outfits together themselves!
But I admit especially in North America there should be more.

I don’t know. It doesn’t seem unusual to me that they’re dressed nicely. I see people dressed that way day in and day out but maybe it’s because of where I live. But honestly, it doesn’t really look styled to me. Some people just enjoy looking good and put together. Ain’t no shame in looking good when stepping out. :)

Ooh this makes me miss Vancouver…I need to hop on the ferry for a trip over!! I am not a huge Twilight fan or anything but I think R.Pattz is ridiculously hot. My friend Jana works at Starbucks in Van and I saw via her Facebook status that she made him a latte the other day….sigh..so lucky.

As a native Vancouverite, I would say they are just dressed to fit in with the local crowd. I wouldn’t say they look particularly styled…

I think they look pretty good, but I also think they basically just look like practically every random dude you see walking down the street in this town … so I can’t figure out if I think they’re specifically styled or not. Maybe styled for pics? Maybe styled just to blend in? Maybe styled for pics where you just blend it? Who knows, not me.
I don’t think they’re on Granville Street tho becuz that street has had all it’s trees chopped down in preparation for the facelift it’s getting for the 2010 winter Olympics, but in at least one of these pics I can see a tree or two nearby.
I don’t know which today these pics were taken, but yesterday I wore my own wool pea coat again becuz it’s still so frickin’ chilly so I gotta say the 2 guys wearing the leather jacket and the hoodie musta been free to the zing!
Apparently the main players are staying at Sutton Place Hotel (along with John Cusack and Uma Therman incidentally who are also there)
