Meet Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Garner-Affleck
Jennifer Garner, who gave birth to her second child in January, joined her husband Ben Affleck as they picked up their eldest daughter Violet Anne from pre-school and ventured out for a shopping excursion … and they brought along newborn daughter Seraphina Rose Elizabeth for the ride. Aww … she’s such a precious little doll. To be honest, I had forgotten that Jennifer gave birth a couple of months ago … so these new photos of little Seraphina are such a nice reminder. The Garner-Afflecks have got themselves a really adorable family. Two beautiful daughters, they must be so thrilled. Welcome to the world, Seraphina! It’s very nice to meet you.

Too cute! I’m still on the fence about the name, but at least it’s not as ugly or weird as some of the other ones we’ve been hearing of lol

I was a little disappointed with the name Seraphina…I really liked the name Violet so I hoped they would pick something a little cuter.

Do NOT like the name Seraphina at all! Lily would have been a great name to keep with the flower theme names they have going on there. She is too cute to be a Seraphina. :(

I just think Seraphina Pacala from Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials. I also think it’s freaking adorable that both Matt and Ben have two girls…even if Matt technically only has one girl. But still.

aw, i think her name is pretty! its kind of nice they went for more old-fashioned names rather than making up something new and ridiculous.

that’s what I thought too – like, do they have no shame? it looked like the paps were right in their faces…
seraphina can grow on you as a name, especially when you consider nickname potential – and maybe one of them was influenced by that book someone mentioned… but I still wouldn’t name my kid that…

@madsme – I fully agree I can’t imagine what a toddler must be thinking to come out of school and have all that attention… and I absolutely hate the pic of Ben carrying Seraphina and the pap in the background with the video camera… hell it might have been a parent but still clearly no shame. I want to get a glance at the baby as much as everyone else, but I am more than willing to wait until they decide to release the photos rather than have cameras shoved in the faces of their kids. She is cute though, I have to say!

Seraphina is my grandmother’s name…it is an Italian name and you shorten it to “Sara (Sera)” or Phi :) I LOVE this name, and since it runs in our family my sister and I are fighting over who gets to use it! I think that our family spelling is Serafina. hmmm….anywhoot, what a cute family!!

I feel terrible for little Violet.
It is awesome that her parents still pick her up from school like any other kid, but the fact that the paps are there is just sad and just destroys the joy in it.
