Jennifer Aniston Goes Back Into Hiding
It wasn’t that long ago that Jennifer Aniston was happily parading her romance with John Mayer in front of any and every paparazzo in town back when the couple were happily attached at the hip … but these days, now that she and John are dunzo (reportedly because he was more interested in Twitter than he was in her) Jen has, apparently, decided that she no longer wants to show her face in public under any circumstances. Here are a couple photos of Jen and her new co-star Jason Bateman making their way into rehearsals for their new movie The Baster which is currently in production in NYC:
As you can see, Jason has no problem walking into the building like a normal person. Jen, no longer shackled to Mayer’s love for the limelight, appears happy to cover herself from head to toe utterly and completely to as to avoid being photographed. I mean, c’mon … she is totally ridiculous. I don’t understand how she thinks that behaving like this in public will get people to NOT notice her and to NOT photograph her. LOL. It remains to be seen if Jennifer Aniston plans to never show her face in public again now that she’s single again but … I can’t wait to find out.

I think that in and of itself proves that John Mayer wasn’t the only publicity whore in that twosome. Not a Jen fan, sorry, because 1, she wants everyone to love her at her convenience, and 2, aside from Friends, she’s not good in any of her movies. (Please don’t quote the money her movies have made, because that doesn’t qualify them as “good.” Please don’t throw the Good Girl in the mix either, because she played a dull woman, monotonous voiced–ie, herself.)

Agreed @ Duuude. The Good Girl was only a half decent movie because of Zooey Deschanel.
But think about it for a second: Jennifer Aniston, paparazzi whore – bad actress. Zooey Deschanel, serious and hard working actress – considered to be one of the best young actors in Hollywood.

I would have to agree about The Good Girl as well. It was a good movie but her performance was unexceptional. In general, she is not a great actress. She is likable and attractive but that doesn’t make her a great actress.
And I agree, she looks ridiculous. I hate celebrities that act like this. They eat up the media attention when it’s convenient to them but then act all indignant and put out when it isn’t.

LOVE JASON BATEMAN!! Holy shizz..I can’t WAIT to see him starting rehearsals on the Arrested Development movie!!! And maybe Jen just didn’t feel like getting her pic taken..I was super cranky today and would have been pissed if a bunch of people had shoved a camera in my face..Then again, I don’t have a house on the beach in Malibu or tons of money to spare..Whatever..I’ll give her a break this time..

I do love her but that is kind of dumb… I mean seriously… although I did see her on the cover of some magazine today at my local Wal-Mart and it was saying how she spends all this time on yoga,make-up, hair and tanning before she can go out and all this other supossed stuff that apparently John Mayer blabbed about her, so I guess after that I would be feeling like her too… still though, I wouldn’t necessarily hide my head…
BUT I am soo glad Jason Bateman didn’t! I sooooo love him!!!!! Yay!

Eep, this is a little more scathing than I would expect. Sure, she does look pretty ridic. But, I gotta agree with B, although she did sign up for this paparazzi deal when attempting to become rich and famous, I’d imagine some days dealing with the cameras are harder than others. Especially after another embarrassing public breakup. I can’t even imagine what it’s like being in that position……I could never be famous, I couldn’t handle my shizz being so out in the open. Honestly though, I would TOTALLY respect her more if she held her head up high and proud no matter what the status of her love life may be or how people choose to judge her.

jen may not be the best actress, but i think it’s unfair to say she’s not a good one. i thought she was good in derailed and marley and me (and those are just the few i’m naming). don’t even get me started on actors with mediocre acting talents.. just back off. and u don’t even really know what happened in her past failed relationships so it’s unfair to assume it’s her fault they didn’t work out. jeez.. grow up people.

I agree with Vintage – when I rented “Derailed” a year or so ago, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. She actually did quite well playing a different character from what we’re used to seeing her in, I really liked it. I would actually watch that movie a second time, I though it was that cool.
But I also agree that she should hold her head high and not act like this….although I recognize that being photographed at certain times may not be welcome, she makes herself more noticeable by doing stuff like this. It also makes her seem bothered by recent press ie: Star Magazine….if it’s not true, than she should have no reason to hide her face like this. So kinda makes you wonder…

I agree Susie – “Derailed” was good, she can act – and she kept us entertained for 10 years on Friends (how quickly people forget) … She’s a decent woman in Hollywood and for some reason the public (and media) likes to turn, on the ‘good girls’.

Interesting… I don’t usually comment (ok, never) on Jennifer Aniston, but I just don’t understand why media (and you Trent) pick on her. She is not a party girl, only been married once to one of the hottest men in Hollywood (ie. having to deal with all kinds of women AND men hitting on her husband) and has had to deal with her ex’s new gf having tons of his kids and being the most celebrated woman of the moment. That’s a lot to swallow no matter what and she will always be haunted by that scenario. She didn’t do anything to deserve loathing other than try and entertain us the way that she can. She made her money, is independent and now has to deal with another ex getting married and finding happiness after she just turned the big 4 0. Back off when there are much worse celebs out there that take advantage of being in the spotlight.
That said, I think it’s silly that she covers up so dramatically but I don’t really care if she does or doesn’t show her face…

It’s pretty stupid for people to say she can’t act. Duuuuude, obviously she has talent or she wouldn’t be successful. She comes across as one of the nicest people in Hollywood, so I don’t understand the need to hate on her. If she had been rude to the paps that would be something to talk about, because it’s out of character. All she did was cover up, she is not the first person to do this and she won’t be the last. It’s not scandalous behavior. I really doubt she was doing it because of John, she probably just didn’t like how she looked. I don’t always like my picture taken either. Geesh!

It was early morning and she had no make up on. There are pics later in the day when she had the hair and face done so no hood was necessary. It might be a good PR act, most people want what they cannot have, so now she’s assured the cameras will be there every morning trying to get a shot. Also, agree with many of the posters regarding her talent (or lack thereof). She’s a one trick pony for sure and if you saw even one of her movies you don’t need to see the rest. Derailed reviews were awful and she hasn’t tried to break out of the romcom box since. Her movie role choices are like her hair style, safe.

Come on, what person in this world has not had a day when they didn’t want their picture taken? I know it’s part of her job, but I really don’t think it’s fair to condemn her for wanting to hide her face. I think that it’s entirely possible that she was having an off day, like everyone does. Sometimes they get the worst possible shots and spread them as far as they can because there are tons of people who will pay to see her at her worst. If she really did just break up with her boyfriend, I’m sure every magazine would post the absolute worst picture and talk about how distraught their “sources” say she is.

Jennifer Aniston is all right. I like her as an actress and as a model. The stars media can be very tough on some women. Think of people who have been molested by bad media for years. Jennifer comes on the top 3. It is not that she deserves it at all but she’s an easy target because of her apparent sensible side. That side of her personality is also the reason of her sucess. That’s just who she is and that’s why we like her. Some people are good at manipulating their public image to their advantage and how they become famous. Jennifer is just not one them which makes her a star close to people’s heart. Good or Bad publicity it’s all good as long as people talk about you…
