I had a firsthand encounter with how WRONG the media is to poor Jen – I saw her like 2 years ago in NYC when she did that “24 Hour Plays” benefit on Broadway – I was thrilled to get tickets b/c I adore her. It was a fairly small function, so we were even able to get into the afterparty at a nearby bar (and I am no hipster, just a regular person lol). But let me backtrack – When Jen exited the theatre, the paparazzi absolutely ATTACKED her. She was shielding herself from their out of control aggressiveness. They were literally fighting and climbing over one another to get to her, and I seriously thought she was going to get hurt. I know other people got hurt, for sure. I was AMAZED at what I was seeing, it was worse than I ever would have imagined. Jen was as cordial as she could be while still protecting her safety. She didn’t utter a word as she slipped into the waiting car. The next day – I hear news reports about how Jen was “cursing at paparazzi”, “being a total bitch” etc etc – to which people started commenting similarly to what a lot of you people are writing right now “she doesn’t appreciate her fans” or whatever – meanwhile – none of it was even true! She didn’t curse at anyone! It was completely made up. I couldn’t believe it. It made me so mad, that they were just painting her as something she’s not, just to sell their “news”. And there’s nothing she can do to dispute it – so why bother trying. She’s doing her best just like everybody else. AND just as a side note – at the bar afterwards, Jen went out of her way to say hello to little old ME. I was the total dork with the “Team Aniston” tee on, and she saw it, and yes, she did appreciate a fan, and made my day :)

She did not write that article or title it. I don’t think either Brad, Angelina, or Jen are trying to keep this non-triangle going and I honestly don’t understand why the media is STILL going on about this or why on earth people are blaming it on Jen or Brad or Angelina(although she did put her foot in it when she said she and Brad fell in love while he was still married-get a publicist, honey).
They panned to Angelina during the Oscar’s while Jen was on stage for goodness sakes. It is ALL the media and I applaud Jen’s statement in this magazine. She has moved passed it all and wants to get out of the shadow of “BRANGELINA.”
Jen and Angelina are night and day so there is NO point in comparing them. One of the things I love about Jen is the fact that she isn’t “gorgeous.” Aside from her amazing body she has a face that you’d see on the street. She’s the girl next door that you wouldn’t necessarily look twice at.

Everyone does not love every aspect of their job or career, Trent. To use a sad example, Heath Ledger, you could tell he LOVED to act, but watching him in interview, you could tell he would rather be anywhere but there. Why shouldn’t she or any actor or actress get pissed when we want to dig into something that was painful, personal, and in the past? What does her divorce from years ago and how she’s doing have to do with her movies or her career?

WE created this aspect of their careers and I can see how invasive and incredibly annoying it must be. They don’t have to be happy about it and I don’t think they have to plaster a smile on as though the amount of money they make makes having their photo taken by several paps while they are in sweats and drinking coffee tolerable.

Are you kidding me???????? Maybe I’m alone here but, one way to not talk about it (whatever it may be)… Is to NOT TALK ABOUT IT. ?? Very unhealthy. Once decisions are made, we all have to move on. Why stoop down and prove that whatever decision another person made *right or wrong* was in fact ‘justified’???

I think that it is pretty unfair for people like you, Trent, to critisize her every move, every word, every expression, etc etc. I noticed for a long time that when it comes to Jen Aniston’s news, you tend to put her in a bad light. I love you, Trent. But I do think that you should cut her some slack.

I think it is tasteless for anyone to expect her to continue to talk about the man who cheated on her and the woman he cheated with. Ugh. She has the right to move on and be able to promote movies without going through something that was painful. Let her move on.

and please ppl, if you are going to compare talent/acting then don’t use her relationship with her ex-husband as a measuring tool. just because angie is better at acting gives her the green light to discard someone’s marriage?

Jen maybe type cast but if you are going to speak in regards to her marriage, she did nothing wrong. everyone has ups and downs and when you make that vow..i would think that means something. i for one think angie/brad should be the ones getting all the heat not jen..why is it that the person who did the least damage/harm to others always gets torn YEARS later..ppl shut the f up

She doesn’t look disinterested at all. I think she looks stunning. It’s just her pose. I don’t blame her for not wanting to talk about Brad anymore. She’s totally right about everything she says being taken out of context. I would be irritated, too, and I would’ve given the same answer she did. Sure, she discussed it when the divorce was fresh, but even then, she never went into detail..just explained how she was handling everything. But now? 4-5 years later and she’s still getting badgered about it? Come on. Talk about something else. You can only be asked the same questions so many time before you blow up.

honestly ppl will always bash her and portray her as wanting attention and not being able to put things behind. but for freaks sake – she’s a movie star out there to promote her movies , that’s why she’s on all these magazines such as vanity fair of which she probably got sick of all the questions and just decided to answer some questions which she probably didn’t think was too big a deal. she probably thought it was ok to be considerate and easy to work with for the magazine, only to have it on the front cover. do you think she sits there asking for ppl to dig up her past relationships? put ur self in her shoes, why on earth would ppl wanna talk about something like that? I don’t know anyone who would want all the attention on a divorce to be rehashed again and again. i’m so sick of ppl talking badly of her.

I think shes just posing, I dont think shes actually bored.

And I would get frustrated too-for so long she said nothing and people were pissed, and when recently made a joke about it people told her she needed to “let it go.” I think shes actually very happy, and being seen as this poor woman left by her husband for angie must be so annoying.

Who would want to talk about their ex and the new family over and over again? She didn’t say anything for the longest time, and then she did one interview to answer all those questions, and people still can’t let it go.

Had it not been for “the triangle” Aniston’s career would’ve tanked long ago.

I think she handled that question perfectly, considering that she has probably been asked it thousands of times by now. Seriously. She’s quite pretty but she’s a horrible actress. Every movie she played different role but always the same act, always the rachel green. It gets old.
