Gwen Stefani Takes Her Sons To The Park To Play With Balloons, Bullies

It ain't all fun and games for Kingston James McGregor
March 2nd, 2009

Gwen Stefani spent another weekend in the fun company of her children Kingston James McGregor and Zuma Nesta Rock as mother and sons were spotted enjoying some playtime together with some fun balloons at a park in Beverly Hills, CA. Here are a few photos of Gwen with her sons enjoying one another’s company and all the fun and excitement that balloons can offer:

But, alas, the outing wasn’t all fun for little Kingston James. According to TMZ, he had a run-in with a “known local bully” who proceeded to start an altercation with little Kingston and put a damper on the day’s fun. After the jump, check out a photo of the kiddies roughhousing together …

Sadly, it looks like Kingston was on the receiving end of more of the roughhousing than the other kid was:

Gwen Stefani’s son Kingston had his perfect little life shattered yesterday in a Bev Hills park, when a known local bully pulled out a can of whoopass!

OUCH! Clearly, having famous folks doesn’t mean diddly-squat when it comes to playground disagreements. Hopefully Kingston managed to get in a couple of licks against the other kid … tho, my guess is that he prolly did not. Ah well … I’m pretty sure that Kingston James will exact his revenge when the other kid (or his parents) are lookin’ to score choice seats for the upcoming No Doubt Summer tour. I’m thinkin’ nosebleed seats with an obscured view … how’s that for having the last laugh?

  9. Kim*UK Says:

is this the first time we have seen a scuffle between a celbrity baby and a mere mortal? poor kingston.

  10. Rita Says:

I hope Gwen said something to the bully’s parents. If he’s a known local bully, then the parents obviously know their son is terrorizing others. I hope these photos and the flack they get from other parents viewing them will get their behinds in gear to do something about their child’s aggressive and inappropriate behavior. Poor Kingston.

  11. M3 Says:

@ Lelah: hahahahahahaha! Too freakin’ funny!!!!!

  12. Victoria Says:

    That is so sad!!!!!!!!!

  13. Elkay Says:

@ Rita: WORD. Especially if he’s known to be a bully, something should be said to the parents…and that kid looks a couple years older than Kingston too.

  14. GLou Says:

That kid had some rage going on there. Terrible!

  15. canuck Says:

Meh, it’s a part of life. It’s not like Kingston is in these situations all the time. I suspect the Rossdales may figure one incident like this could toughen him up a bit and teach him to stand up for himself around other kids. He’s got to learn some time. I’m sure if it was truly bad they would’ve stepped in. Too bad there isn’t a pic of Gwen’s reaction to it all.

  16. Frisa Says:

Oh hellllllll no!!! Look how big that kid is!! Where is Gwen and the other boy’s mom?

  17. Wow Says:

    Hahahaha

  18. Adrienne Says:

aww, poor little dude…kids will be kids though, and it’s good to see that the little guy gets to be a rough-and-tumble boy even though he has very famous parents.

  19. PixieBassline Says:

Man, if I were Kingston’s mom, I woulda wanted to knock that PUNK on his ass! I hate it when people don’t teach their kids to act right…. it’s DISGUSTING. That child is a view of some idiot’s failure as a parent…..
I know kids WILL do shit, even if their parents are good… but this lil shit was a KNOWN bully??? I’m disgusted…

  20. Emma Says:

pictures of Gwen and her boys always make me squeal with glee. so adorable!

    poor Kingston! :(

  21. tatiana Says:

lololol Okay…that picture shouldnt be this funny. I should be ashamed for laughing, but sadly, I am not. lolol

  22. isobel Says:

i couldn’t help but laugh either. the kid shouldn’t be beating up other kids but it’s a part of life for non-celeb kids.

  23. carla Says:

ahahahahaha it’s only this hilarious because of the caption! thank you trent!

  24. Luli Says:

It’s not a part of life.
I agree with PixieBassline, it’s really awful when parents don’t teach their kids to behave properly.

  25. Joanne Says:

Trent – I’m so not comfortable with this! It’s bad enough having celebs kids lives documented with cameras. but now we’re trashing and labelling someone elses kid? … from one photo? That’s someone’s kid!! You may be causing some innocent (good) parents, grief. NOT RIGHT.

  26. SquareHead Says:

There’s a video showing what happened, not just the picture. I just saw it, twice. Looks like little angelic Kingston antagonized the kid, charged him with a pointed finger, grabbed the “bullies” shirt, then the other kid smacked Kingston and ran to his daddy while Kingston ran crying to mommy who had her back turned and didn’t see anything that happened. The daddy to the so called “bully” saw what happened, jumped a short fence, grabbed his kid by the arm and made him go apologized to Kingston.

  27. Silke Says:

@ Lelah : you crack me up
    B A N A N A S =)
    I hope so too !!

  28. Pam Says:

awww poor little dude! But I feel more sorry about the bully who cannot comunicate in another way, sick little bastard. he’ll get his hahahaha.

  29. Elle Says:

Guys this is sort of sick. Just watch the video Squarehead posted. That one picture Trent put up is VERY inflammatory and it’s shameful that you guys are talking about how that child’s parents are obviously horrible and that kid needs his ass kicked.

Seconds after the hit, that looked like it shocked Kingston more than anything as children his age are very resilient, the boys father stormed over and grabbed the boy and took him over to most likely apologize.
You can also see something in the older boys hand. Either he took it from Kingston or Kingston really wanted it, but I have seen plenty of children that age who don’t take well to the idea of sharing. This is not visual proof that these children’s parents suck, it normal stuff that kids go through and need to learn. No hitting and share your toys, they are lessons that some learn sooner than others.

If anything this proves how one second in a photo can be taken completely out of context.

  30. Michelle Says:

ugh someone’s always got to preach! calm down love. children fight, simple as. get over it.

and joanne, also get over it! i doubt you only say nice things about everyone you know or don’t know.

  31. PixieBassline Says:

What I was saying is that when a kid is bad, it’s very often showing you somewhere their parents failed at. I see this in knowing where my friends have failed to teach their kids certain manners and then seeing it come out of the kid…. I did not mean that someone was a bad parent just because their kid did something, because you never know WHAT a kid will do, no matter how you raise them.
Anyway, I watched the video that was linked and it did look like a regular “little boys on the playground” sort of thing. And the Hitter’s dad did jump right over there and handle it. After seeing the vid, it made me wonder why the girl in front of Gwen, or Gavin (was that Gavin?) didn’t notice the flailing actions of Kingston and stop it before he had to get popped! I once saw a vid of Kingston with Gwen, somewhere public, and Kingston was acting like a lil shithead. She picked him up and he popped her in the face….
