Because taxes are due exactly one month from today I kinda had to spend my yesterday gathering together some paperwork to hand over to my tax dude so that my taxes could get sorted out and filed properly. Yeah, it’s never a fun endeavor having to deal with taxes (especially when you owe rather than are expecting a return) but, such is life. As a result, my yesterday was not all that thrilling as I spent most of it going thru paperwork in my office. David and his friend Kurt spent part of the day at the gym (it’s “fun” for them, I guess). Last night, Kurt’s friends Tom and Patrick came by for drinks so that we could all hang out for a bit before dinner. We met up with Josh and Tiago for dinner at the amazing XIV restaurant last night:

I noted that Tony Kanal from No Doubt was dining with Brent Bolthouse on the terrace which was kinda cool. But once the food started making its way to our table, I only had eyes for the sumptuous course after course that we ordered. There was talk of dancing after but, honestly, we stuffed our faces so fully that we were pretty wiped by dinner’s end. It was really great getting to spend time with Josh and Tiago. They make such a cute couple … I hope we’ll get to spend more time together.

I still have some work to get done today and then I have to start packing for SXSW so it looks like another quiet Sunday for me. We’re kicking around the idea of seeing a movie tonight (any suggestions?) … so that might be the extent of our Sunday plans.
