First Look: Kelly Clarkson, ‘I Do Not Hook Up’
Kelly Clarkson’s new album All I Ever Wanted won’t be released until Tuesday but she’s already ready to release her second single. As you may recall, the first single of All I Ever Wanted was My Life Would Suck Without You and it came with very colorful single artwork. Her second single is I Do Not Hook Up and features colorful artwork of its own:

I Do Not Hook Up was written by new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and Katy Perry and is, coincidentally, the second track on the album (after My Life Would Suck Without You). The song does have a bit of a Katy Perry feel to it … and honestly is not one of my fave tracks on the album. The disc is very strong and I think it will do well once released. It’s full of trademark Kelly Clarkson songs that are sure to chart well. No word on when a video for Hook Up might come our way but I suspect it won’t be long after the album hits stores this week. It’s great having Kelly back, she’s been sorely missed.

This is definitely one of the best songs on the album. Such a fun good girl anthem!

I love this song! I think it’ll do really well as the second single :)

@David — the album leaked weeks ago

I used to like Kelly Clarkson and I was hoping this album would be more grown up and rock filled. Same old bubble gum stupid pop songs that are even more immature in nature than her first stuff. Blah… good think I didn’t pay for it all on iTunes!

Kelly Clarkson is pretty great, but Breakaway will be her best albums ever, I think. It’s kind of hard to beat that album… this song is okay but it isn’t addicting like her previous songs. Katy Perry gets on my damn nerves!

her new disk is very good, love Kelly to death!
Cry is the best song on the disk in my opinion, it reminds me of my favorite song on My desember ” sober”

@Kristin – ‘Cry’ is definitely my favourite off the album too, along with ‘Already Gone’. The album was released 4 days ago in Australia and ‘I Do Not Hook Up’ is my highest played after those two – can’t wait for the video!!

I agree Trent, but she was never gone to begin with. My December was amazing and All I Ever Wanted is amazing in its own right. “Don’t Let Me Stop You”, “Cry” and “Already Gone” are my favorites.

I think it would do great as a single!!

love the songs on this album, especially “already gone” .. love it!

Katy Perry already recorded that wonder why she didn’t just keep it for herself?

Kelly Clarkson has been missed. My Life Would Suck was a disappointment to me at first just because it sounded very Miley and a little young compared to her last album. It’s grown on me. I have a feeling this one will be better because I really like Katy Perry, too.

i love that you love Kelly!…and give her so much love on your site…she is truly talented and humble to boot….i thought My December was awesome and this album is great too…a little too poppy and not kelly enough…but she can do anything….my abosolute favorite song of hers to date…is Already Gone off the new album…absolutely amazing!
