Christina Ricci Is Gettin’ Hitched!
Love is in the air between actress Christina Ricci and her comedian boyfriend, of just about a year, Owen Benjamin and to celebrate the couple have decided to make it official. People magazine is reporting that Christina and Owen are newly engaged to be wed! Here is a photo of the happy pair showing off Ricci’s sparkly new engagement bling in SoCal on Monday afternoon:
Christina Ricci and her comedian boyfriend Owen Benjamin will tie the knot, the actress’s rep tells PEOPLE. Ricci, 29, met Benjamin on the set of their film All’s Faire in Love last year and went public with their relationship in October. Most recently, they were spotted cozying up at the Nobu West Hollywood’s one-year anniversary party last week. Ricci, who previously dated actor Adam Goldberg, told UK’s Tatler as far back as May 2007 that she was ready to “settle down” though was worried about the fuss of a wedding. ” I just want to be married, or just engaged,” she said. “Basically, I just want a ring. And the tax break.”
While I am very happy to know that Christina has found true love with her new man, I’m a little forlorn that she couldn’t make her relationship with Adam “See ya, pals” Goldberg work :( They made such a great couple … I don’t even know who this guy is. Tho, that’s not reason enough for her not to get married (I guess) but still. Despite the mixed emotions, I think we should all send our lurve and congrats to Christina and Owen on their upcoming nuptials. I suppose there is still time for Goldberg to show up at the ceremony to try and win Christina’s heart back but … I’m almost fairly kinda certain that won’t happen … right?
