So let me tell you about my exciting day yesterday … I went to Target. The end. Hahahaha … after the exciting weekend I just enjoyed with Prince and friends, I was due for a pretty regular, boring night. The highlight for me was my trip to Target to get some supplies for the abode, a trip to McDonald’s (where I ordered Chicken McNuggets and got a stupid Big Mac) and then a night in front of the tele with the Gossip Girl gang and 24‘s Jack Bauer. Ta da!! While I Target, I was perusing the impulse buy options at the check-out when I found this item trying to entice me:

I’m usually pretty good at taking a pass on the impulse buy options but when an item comes complete with a spork, well, I had to get it. I have yet to eat the peaches but, again, I really only bought it for the prize inside (which is how I used to shop for breakfast cereal when I was a kid). Yeah, that was my day.
This afternoon, David and I have an appointment and then … no plans for after. Mebbe a movie, mebbe not … which is just fine with me.

Oooohhh..How did you like all the Jack Bauer shirtlessness last night?? Whooo!!
@Kendra — I liked it quite a bit, even Twittered about it here: http://twitpic.com/2mnv1
Go and see A haunting in Conn and let me know what you think. Also, Congrats on the spork. I just hope the peaches don’t make you sick:)!
@Mr. Gyllenhaal — I did see Haunting In Conn a few weeks ago at a preview, I honestly liked it but I can see the point of the bad reviews. The horror film is PG-13 and has some cheesy elements but I jumped in my seat a few times. David and I had a good time but it’s nowhere near as scary as something like The Exorcist but … we had fun.
I hate bringing fruit cups with me to work or school and then remembering I don’t have a spoon. The spork included idea is sooo handy. Love it.
How did you get a Big Mac instead of Nuggets!!!
I had some similar happen to me. I ordered a Frosty and was given a Chili.
I thought last night’s Gossip Girl ep ROCKED! XD
i got the sliced peaches with the spork just last week! picked it up by the check out line as a last second purchase.
i was JUST saying that while i’ve always had love for the spork, i’ve really begun to appreciate its functionality on another level. i’m working on a blog about it. i’ll let you know haha.
Trent,
I did the SAME thing with cereal when I was little. And I would dig out the prize as soon as I got home. Remember Wacky Wall Walkers in Post cereals (I think?)
Watch out for those things! I bought some for my son’s lunch and had to throw them ALL away because they were ALL sour! Even though the exp. date was months away!!!! Sporks may be cool and all, but…….
You probably the spork scene in Wall-E. My sister has kept EVERY toy her kid got from the happy meals. She keeps them in a huge rubbermaid container. I told my nephew he was going to have to sell them on ebay to help pay for books when starts college next year.
I meant you probably looooooved the spork scene.
Wouldn’t peaches be like a foreign substance in your body that could cause a serious illness??? Honestly Trent, I don’t know how you cut such a fine figure with all that fast food you eat. I’m jealous.
@canukistani — trust me, my figure is far from “fine”. i’m just lucky to have a great metabolism. when it gives out, i’m effed
It makes me so sad that cereals don’t have prizes anymore. A few have the send off prizes, but practically none have toys in them. That was always my favorite thing when I was little.
Now they want you to send in to get it so they will have your name and address to send you junk mail. Of course they will sell your info to other companies so you will be bombarded by junk mail, all for some useless toy. I hate junk mail, can you tell?
i love me some target!! i went there 2 weeks ago “for a few things” and $130 later, was happily on my way out.
I love it when the sprok gets some love. the only place i ever find a spork is at KFC
