Britney Spears Wants YOU To Know That Kohl’s Is Having An Easter Sale
Earlier this month we learned that Britney Spears had been chosen as the 2009 Candie’s spokesperson and that she would be appearing in the clothing line’s ad campaign in the coming year. Over the weekend, Britney’s first Candie’s ad appeared in newspapers around the country alerting us to the fact that Kohl’s department store — which is the exclusive home of Candie’s apparel — is having a MEGA 3-DAY EASTER SALE. Here is what Britney’s newest Candie’s ad looks like:
While it’s great to see Britney back in the position of appearing in major advertisement campaigns, I think I was expecting a bit more from her first ad. Candie’s tends to put out really colorful, really vibrant ad campaigns … and this one is just … flat. I think mebbe the ad doesn’t really work for me because it was printed on newspaper but even the photo isn’t all that impressive. I hope that future Candie’s ads that feature Britney have a little more oomph to them.

I think cheetah print in general is horrible. Only rarely do I see someone pulling it off… usually that’s a comforter. I’m not sure how I feel about this whole Candies endorsement still. I don’t shop at Khol’s but this just seems really low budget for Britney. She’s the biggest star in the world basically and she could, or better yet, her management, found something better to endorse. Like Cheetos’s or something. Don’t Candie girls usually have some sort of a commercial as well? HMM. From what we saw from the shoot it looked really good. I blame it on bad photoshopping and the hair.

Seriously, they could have picked a better outfit for the ad. The print, the shorts…the awkward pose…it just looks really trashy. Not current-Britney at all.

I Like it, it’s a simple adv, but still very cute…and i like her clothes as well…

i agree with everything trent said, as soon as i saw it i thought it was boring and not very Candies or even Britney. Look at all of Britney’s past ads and youll see she has more energy and umph in them. This is just boring and very not Britney.

I used to work for Kohl’s and anytime someone would come through the line with one of her many “perfumes”, I would happily say .. “Eu da Whore! I just love saturing myself to smell like a streetwalker!” Either I got a huge laugh or a look of “whaaaaaa!?” Gotta keep those Kohl’s peeps on their toes. ;-)

it’s TOTALLY BLAHHHHHH. She looks bored and disinterested…. and are her real legs really that small??? Gawd, they COULD have found something better than THAT to dress her in, too. Why would anyone choose those shorts for a photoshoot?? I’ve dressed better than that to wash my car….
