I went to that restaurant on my school trip to NY... probably very fun for kids, but our group was basically sixteen and up. :P Food was decent, but the dancing aliens was a little bit much. Hahaha.

Maddox looks like he hates the paps in one photo. Pax just looks scared and confused.

I think they are tutored and homeschooled much of the time but go to public school when they can. Many of their school experiences are ruined because of the lingering paps and oogling parents. That's probably why you don't see them there that much.

They are also not of school age yet. Maddox is just coming into it which is why I think Angelina is leaning towards taking that time off she's talking about.

Some of the most cosmopolitian, intelligent and erudite people I know grew up in perapatetic lifestyles. They learned to adapt to situations at a young age and are more able to understand different cultures because they moved about them in the world.

The one constant in these kids lives is their parents and that is the most important thing. No matter where they go, if Mum and Dad are there, the kids feel safe, loved and confident.

We don't know that these kids don't have friends other than each other. They probably do, maybe not best friends, but I'm sure they have them.

If they are "throwing spaghetti on the walls," or "tearing the place apart," as I've heard both Brad and Angie say, then discipline is maybe something they have to bear down on. But it is my understanding Angie and her brother were raised like that, and they turned out alright. So you never know.

No parent is perfect and I'm sure there are hard days ahead when the kids hit their teenage years. But if they have a strong foundation of love now, those years may not be so difficult.

I wish them well.

hahaha super super cute!
I'm fed up with people critizising how the Jolie-Pitt bring up their children. Enough people! It is their business and if they make mistakes, the children themselves are the ones that are going to let their parents know how they screwed up their lives or not, just like angelina did with her father. It is a family and you wouldn't like to have people commenting on your family business, moreover if it is a comment based on pictures that u see. We dont live with them, we dont know anything about them except they are both actors, have 6 kids, seem to love each other and their family, and do stuff together. How can you jugde whether or not they are going to be well adjusted or not? It is insane. It is kinda ok to want to see pictures of them and idolizing these people, it is a cultural thing for some reason, but to feel like you have the right to judge them and point your finger at them because you dont see them going to school or they travel a lot... that blows my mind. I see kids starving to death, I see kids begging for money in the subway because their parents send them to and if they dont bring money they get bitten till they cant walk, I've seen kids sleeping on the streets covered with newspapers or not even that, barefooted kids begging for a few fries inside your local McDonalds. So... yeah. The Brangelina kids are in so much trouble... Insane people, think before talking out of your ass.

Pretty cool of Brad to take them to a Mars themed restaurant so near Giovanni Schiaparelli's birthday. Educational and fun. Not to mention some special one-on-one time with they're dad. Way to go, Jolie-Pitts!

Sure - maybe their lack of routine, is their routine. And yes, I agrees that all kids have different needs, and who am I to judge? And normal life, sure what is that?

However, they've made their family life a public one which opens them up to people like me, weighing in with their opinions, on blogs like this. And my opinion is that in three years their family has gone through tons of major changes and while chage can be a very good thing, there is also something to be said for the calming effects of a simple routine that doesn't include hopping time zones regularily and changing houses as often as most people change their shoes. Especially for young children.

Sooner or later they're going to have six (or more) grown children that are going to want to go play at friends houses, have sleep-overs, go to birthday parties and fit in with other kids their own age so they'll have to deal with that eventually. Right now it just seems like they're trying to avoid facing the inevitable. Just look at what the Beckhams are going through now with David splitting his time between LA & Italy - they could've ripped their 3 boys out of school and trotted off with them back and forth, but they know that's what's best for their boys is allowing them the comfort and stability of being able to stay where they are, where they've probably fit in at school, made friends, have neighbors that they play with, built up little lives for themselves - the regular stuff. All I'm saying is that it's a fact that moving around a lot can take a toll on children. Ask any child psychologist and I'm sure they'll agree that that kind of lifestyle, can come with it's difficulties and challenges for a child's social upbringing.

@ Susie What's best for them? you know nothing about them so how can you say what's best for them. Kids have very different needs, you can't and shouldn't generalize them and who says they don't have a normal routine? traveling the world is their routine that's what they know ,it's what they do, and by know I'm sure they're very use to it. An what exactly is a normal life?

That is a legitimate point. But somehow I get the sense that these kids aren't really socialized all that much with other kids outside of their own siblings. Maybe they are though and we just don't see or read about it....but when their parents make statments about their kids being at home "throwing spaghetti on the walls" - it sounds like they might be lacking a little in the areas of structure and boundaries.

As a person who spent the majority of my childhood traveling and home schooled, the most stable thing you want in your life is your parents. I think Brad and Ang are that for their kids and I think that it is wonderful.

Do these kids even go to school!??? Maybe their home schooled - I don't know...but I think it's high time this family SETTLES down somewhere so the kids can be enrolled in school and make friends and have a stable normal life while they are young. Kids need stability and I don't see how globe-trotting every three months is giving them that. It's one thing when they are babies and too young to know what's going on, but Maddox and Pax aren't babies - and the others aren't too far behind. Their at a critical age where a stable routine lifestyle is what's best for them - and I really don't see Brad and Angelina making that a priority.
