Alyson Hannigan Gives Birth To A Baby Girl
HAPPY HAPPY NEWS to pass along today … People magazine is reporting that Alyson Hannigan (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Alexis Denisof (BtVS, Angel) welcomed the arrival of their baby GIRL last Tuesday March 24, which was also Alyson’s birthday as well!! The couple have named their daughter Satyana … who becomes the first child born from 2 members of the Buffyverse — which truly makes her a blessing:
It’s a girl – and she shares her birthday with her mom! How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan and her husband, actor Alexis Denisof, who kept the gender of their baby a secret during pregnancy, have welcomed a daughter, her rep tells PEOPLE. The girl is named Satyana Denisof and was born March 24 in Los Angeles, which also happens to be Hannigan’s birthday. “They’re very excited, and mom and baby are doing great,” says the rep … This is the first child for Hannigan and Denisof, 42, who met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer during the 1999-2000 season and were married at the Two Bunch Palms resort near Palm Springs, Calif., in 2003.
This has to be the best news ever. The last time we saw Aly and Alexis out and about here on the blog was on March 23 (the day before she gave birth) in photos that were snapped a couple days before. I had a feeling then that she was close to birthin’ that baby. I am SO THRILLED that Aly and Alexis have a baby girl … I know she is going to be just a beautiful, beautiful little darling. Satyana sounds like such a pretty name. I can’t wait to hear more about its meaning. Much, much love and congrats goes out to the happy family on their expansion. We love you Alyson and can’t wait to see you up and around again :)

Congrats!!!! not that it means anything , but the name “Stayana” is actually a slang in arabic it means “a bra” ,,,,, no wait or is that “Setyana” ????? anyway she’s fine as long as she stays away from arabic speaking countries.

Here’s a little info from the website of the Satyana Institute, which is an organization focused on service and women’s empowerment all over th world:
“The name satyana comes from two sanskrit roots: sat, which means truth or being, and also refers to action aligned or suffused with spirit; and yana, which means vehicle. So “satyana” means a vehicle for action infused with the grace of spirit.”

Yay! I was wondering when she’d have the baby. That’s awesome that she can share her birthday with her daughter! My daughter and I’s birthday’s are just two weeks apart. It’s fun :)

I think people who hate the name might be dyslexic? They are reading Satanya instead of Satyana? Read correctly it sounds nothing like Satan.

Just realized Satyana, Alyson and Donovan Hardy, Charisma Carpenter(Cordelia)’s son, all share the same birthday of March 24! Unreal.
