Whoa! It looks like the next season of The Real Housewives of Orange County is going to come jam-packed with a whole SHIZZLOAD of new drama … and how! On the last season of The Real Housewives of Orange County we were introduced to new castmember and blonde bombshell Gretchen Rossi who was cast as the new “housewife” on the show because she was engaged to be wed to a much older man named Jeff Beitzel — who was suffering from leukemia. Thruout the season, we watched Gretchen apparently love and care for Jeff as he slowly deteriorated and then we learned that he passed away after filming of the season ended. At the reunion show at the end of the season, Gretchen was accused by fellow castmember Tamra Barney of using Jeff for his money and to achieve fame on the show — she also accused Gretchen of cheating on him with another man named Jay Photoglou … which Gretchen deftly denied. Since that time, it appears, Gretchen has gotten over the death of her fiancée and has moved on with new man Slade Smiley. Slade is no stranger to the OC reality TV series … he was featured in the first few seasons of the show as the fiancée of another “real housewife” named Jo De La Rosa (who dumped him and left the show … which meant that Slade had to leave the show, too). Here are new photos of the newly paired up Gretchen and Slade lookin’ very much in love lust:
HMMM … Gretchen sure didn’t waste any time hooking up with a new man, did she? I hate to say it but this new behavior really does make it seem that all of the “love” for her much older fiancée was not as genuine as she made it appear on the show. It seems evident to me that Gretchen and Slade will absolutely be included in the next season of the show merely because they have hooked up together. See, this is why the OC series grosses me out … but, as is clear, I just can’t stop watching. Incidentally, you may recall that Slade was recently arrested for failing to pay child support for this children … so this opportunity to get back on the show to make more money couldn’t come at a better time. As much as I hate to admit it, I can’t *wait* to see this new drama unfold on the new season of the show. I really did like Gretchen and I really believed she was in love with Jeff … and mebbe she was … but this new behavior really makes her seem like a different person. I can’t wait to hear what Tamra has to say about this.

It’s been months since Jeff passed. Gretchen was bound to move on and with who is her own business. I still like her she was my favorite housewife last season. Despite what everyone says about her it was obvious that she loved and cared for Jeff.
I lost my hushband and did not rebound in 6 months my heart was broken. I was 39 at the time.
I think it’s been well over six months since Jeff passed away. You can’t blame the girl for moving on. I agree with you, Kaitlin – I think Gretchen really did genuinely love Jeff. Plus, Jeff most likely wouldn’t want her to stay so upset about his death and have her not move on. So, I think he’d be happy that she is happy now.
Like I said, I have met her and she is really nice! They look cute together and anyone is better than Joe De La Rosa…she is so damn annoying!! I think she could have done better than Tool Belt Slade but whatever…she looks happy and FINE!!
she just got a restraining order against jay photoglou, her “secret boyfriend” mentioned on the reunion.

Uh…she said on one of the early episodes of the season that she is friends with Jo. She starred in Jo’s music video. I wonder if this hook up is going over as well as Slade’s hook up with Lauri?
I agree with Kaitlin, Mariah and Mr. Gyllenhaal..Filming ended on the show months ago..As mean as this may come off, Jeff wasn’t her husband of 20 years..I don’t think it would take as much time to move on..She was easily my favorite housewife and, though I think Slade is a total douche and am really shaking my head at her choice of mates, I’m looking forward to watching her next season..If only for the fact that she’s so ridiculously good looking..I have a feeling this “relationship” is all for publicity anyways..
It is very sad and unfortunate that her fiancee passed away, but watching somone you love die from cancer is so hard!!!! a person can go through many different phases and emotions during that time. I hope she is happy and I am glad she is moving on with her life.
You like Gretchen? You thought she really did love Jeff?? I did not believe that she loved him. She is trash and this is ultimate proof. She is supposedly friends with Jo – she was in her music video this season. Girls code – you don’t date another friends man. Period.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I’m sure Gretchen did love Jeff, but I’m also sure she would not have loved him if he wasn’t rich. She a gold digger, no biggie. But everyone needs to just accept it.
Seriously, Trent? He passed away quite a while ago, and she’s young and needs to move on. Did you expect her to hole up and avoid love for the next three years or something? I think it’s great that she’s found someone to be happy with.

slade gives me the creeps
she was one of my favs this past season. I’m not sure how sincere she was but if she was making Jeff happy in his final months then thats what matters. Plus with his list of wives he wasn’t exactly innocent and probably used her as well.
