A Forlorn-Looking Katie Holmes & Her Stuffed Lion
Er … here are a few photos of Katie Holmes shooting scenes for her new movie The Extra Man which, apparently, call for the actress to roam the streets while carrying an extra-large stuffed lion:

Yeah, I dunno what the hell is going on either. But, these photos are too … odd … to not post. I assume that this scene will most likely make sense within the context of the film but I fail to envision what that sense may be. Mebbe Katie’s character is upset that she lost the AM radio she wanted to win at the fair and had to settle on this stuffed lion? Perhaps her character managed to escape a heist at FAO Schwartz but is sad cuz her partner wasn’t so lucky? Mebbe this scene is meant to portray some existential metaphor for one’s lack of courage in the face of overwhelming sadness? HMMM … what do y’all think this scene with the stuffed lion is meant to portray?

Her neck seems really skinny. Do you think it is makeup making it look like that?

Maybe she just figured out that the lion won’t scare off Tom.

Maybe she was left alone at a carnival after her man won the lion for her?

On the upside, the stuffed lion is clearly a better actor than Tommy’s Stepford Hag wife.

That thing is almost as big as she is! Lol!

Maybe she got the Lion for her daughter but said daughter didn’t want a lion she wanted a turtle so our dear Katie is running back to catch the store before it closes to switch out the lion for the proper animal!!

I think she realized the lion just scared her career away. Oops…

it’s probably not actually going to be in the movie at all. the lion is just katie holmes’ “mom jeans.”

When does her contract with Tommy Girl expire? When she scores a box office hit?
God, she’s SO screwed.

I watched them shoot this out my window – went to bed before they finished shooting but from what I could hear from my bed this scene or one set at the same location involves A LOT of shouting. Fun times.

I am going with the carnival guess!!
However that lion is way too heavy for poor Katie to carry !!

My little nephew has that lion in his nursery. It was just decoration when he was a baby, but now he likes to sit on it, and pull on it’s mane. It is REALLY overpriced (to whomever was talking about that) at 60 bucks where my sister bought it. But it’s sort of cute. It’s not heavy at all, but it’s really awkward to carry, as it’s so stiff.

OMG when did she get so skinny? It’s scary, look at her neck — that ain’t right
