Last week we saw the first photos of some of the actors that have been cast to play the Quileute characters in the Twilight sequel New Moon. Taylor Lauter, who plays Jacob Black, was spotted with his new co-stars Alex Meraz, Bronson Pelletier and Tyson Houseman having lunch with Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz in Vancouver, Canada. Today we get to see Meraz out and about with two other actors hired to play Quileute characters — Chaske Spencer and Kiowa Gordon … behold:

Now, call me suspicious but don’t these guys look awfully styled to just be walking around town as if they don’t expect to be photographed? Each guy is wearing a different styled outfit and each seems too put together for a simple stroll in town. My guess is that these new actors may have been instructed to pay a visit to the film’s wardrobe stylist before they go out in public together just in case they get photographed by the paps (especially since they are new actors). I know it may sound a bit paranoid, but this sort of thing happens all the time. The movie producers are well aware that there is much demand to get photos of the castmembers in public … it would make sense for them to not only be aware of that fact but to take advantage of it as well. Again, not that this is a problem at all … but these pics really look to me like the guys are on a photoshoot rather than just randomly walking around in town. It’s a smart move. The Twilight Saga will most likely be a huge money-maker in the long run … it can’t hurt to maximize the potential every turn. What do y’all think … am I just inferring more than is actually there?

Here are a couple of cute pics of Camila Alves carting around her son with Matthew McConaughey as she shopped in the flower district of LA this past Saturday. By the look on little Levi Alves’s face, he didn’t seem to mind all that much:

I love that the scope of human invention figured out a way for mothers to be able to carry around their infants without having to do any of the actual carrying around. Personally, I’m more a fan of the back-pack baby carrier device. You can just sling your baby onto your back and go about your biz without having to worry about anything … except for the fact that you cannot watch your baby at all times. Little Levi is a total doll … whether he’s in a sling or not, he’s a really cute little kid.

Okay, so this might not be news to some of you (Canadians especially) but I *just* found out that Third Watch/Ugly Betty hottie Eddie Cibrian (who is rumored to have had an illicit affair with Country music singer LeeAnn Rimes) and Young and the Restless star Joshua Morrow were members of a CHEESEY post-Backstreet Boys/‘NSync boy band back in the late 90’s. The group, which also featured a guy named CJ Huyer, was called 3Deep and this is what they looked like:

LOLOLOLOL! Now, I know that we all have skeletons we wish would stay in the closet but this one is too good to keep hidden away. According to the Wikipedia page about them, the group was fairly successful in Canada and enjoyed “a sizeable and young female fan base”. High points of the group’s career include, performing “at events such as Ottawa’s Winterlude and appeared at the Juno Awards and at the MuchMusic studios”. The newly wedded Brazilian beauty Gisele Bündchen is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vanity Fair magazine. Somewhere along the way, Gisele lost some of her clothing in a couple of the photos but … I think that the the point. Here is Gisele’s sexy VF mag cover and a portion of her coverstory interview wherein she talks about love at first sight and how she believes that hubby Tom Brady’s son with Bridget Moynahan is really hers:

When Gisele Bundchen met Tom Brady, it was love — or something like it — at first sight. “I knew right way — the first time I saw him,” she tells Vanity Fair recalling that she thought “That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen” when she first met him. They sat and talked for three hours. “You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.” Sounds like love at first sight. “Love is something that grows, that comes from nourishment; it builds.” she clarifies. “But there is a great feeling that happens, that is telling you, I don’t want to leave this room! Whatever that’s called, that’s what happened.” Then things got complicated. Brady had recently broken up with his three-year girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan. Soon after he started dating Gisele, Bridget revealed she was having his baby. On her own. “It was definitely a surprise for both of us,” Gisele admits. “In the beginning you’re living this romantic fantasy; you’re thinking, This can’t be true, it’s so good! And then, Whoops—wake-up call!” Now Gisele says the challenge strengthened her commitment to her now husband. “I think it was a blessing, because otherwise I don’t think I would have known what he was made of, and he wouldn’t have known what I was made of…. It made me feel more in love with him; it made me realize who he was. Our relationship has become so much stronger, and I think I wouldn’t be as certain as I am today if it weren’t for that.” Still, she’s never met Bridget. Although she considers Bridget’s son to be, well, her son. “I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that, but to me it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child. I feel it is, 100 percent,” Gisele says. “I want him to have a great relationship with his mom, because that’s important, but I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day.” What a lucky little boy! And lucky big boy too.

Truth be told, can you blame the woman for caring so deeply about the child of the man she loves. While it may not be an ideal situation (especially for Moynahan), I do think it’s great that Gisele would profess so much love for Tom’s son. I’m actually surprised that Gisele and Bridget have never met, I mean I get it but, I’m still surprised. I think it would really be in the little boy’s best interests if all of his parental figures got along … but that’s neither here nor there, I guess things will work out in the long run if they’re meant to. Pete Wentz has gone on the record about plans for his wife Ashlee Simpson to join the cast of the Melrose Place redux that is currently in production for The CW. Talking to US Weekly on the red carpet of the 2009 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards over the weekend, Pete reveals that it is his sincere hope that Ashlee plays the “bitch” on the show. Lovely. Here is a pic of the pair together at the 2009 MTV Australia Awards in Sydney, Aus last week:

Pete Wentz hopes his wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz gets to be a diva on Melrose Place. “I’m excited to watch. She’s a good actor,” Pete told Usmagazine.com at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday. “I think it will be awesome. I told her that I hope she gets to play the bitch.” Ashlee, 24, and Pete, 29, didn’t grow up watching the primetime drama, which went off the air in 1999. “She was way too young, and I was a little too young,” Pete said. “I was into 90210 and I kind of got into Melrose Place, but I was more, like, a Saved By the Bell kind of guy!” No matter: Pete says the spinoff, due to premiere in this fall on the CW, will be different than the original. “I think they are revamping it,” he said. “They are not ignoring [the past], but it’s getting a new look, a makeover.” Ashlee told Us earlier she was “thrilled” to play a lead character named Violet, a small-town girl who moves to L.A. with a secret.

Ha! To be honest, I totally get the sentiment that Pete is trying to convey. The bitchy character tends to get a lot of attention so why wouldn’t he want her to be the villain. Honestly, I don’t know that Ashlee has the chops to be able to pull off a role like that. That being said, it’s not toally unreasonable to think that a “small-town girl who moves to L.A. with a secret” can’t turn into an überbitch character. Kristen Davis played a horribly evil character on the original Melrose Place. She was so good at the role that I loathed the sight of her for years! It wasn’t until I got into Sex and the City (years after the show went off the air) that I found new love for her. I guess we’ll see who gets bitchy and who doesn’t when Melrose debuts on The CW this Fall.

Yesterday was a late day for David and me because of the lateness of the Prince concerts here in LA on Saturday night … but we did finally get around to getting out of the house. We met up with Kirsten, Darion and my friend Johnny for dinner at Rambutan Thai in Silverlake, CA. Johnny was my date for the first Prince concert and I wanted him to join us for dinner so that K and D could meet him, too. Johnny really is one of my fave people, I’m hoping that we’ll be able to hang out more … it’s a damn shame that we haven’t been hanging out already. Dinner was fab, as was the company. Of course, we snapped a pic to mark the occasion:

I love my friends, I’m such a lucky guy :) After dinner, David and I talked about seeing a movie but our laziness got the better of us. We did grab a cup of coffee together to chill for a bit before we went home. Nothing fancy, just a regular quiet night.

No plans for today, just gonna take it easy. Life is good.
