If the Snuggie is my fave infomercial product du jour than the ShamWow! has to be my second fave infomercial product … which is why I’m only kinda geeking out that the ShamWow! guy, whose real name is Vincent Offer Schlomi, was spotted shopping for sunglasses in Beverly Hills, CA this week:

Hahahaha … OK, I know this is kinda lame but I have a deep fascination with infomercials … for a long time. Back in the early 90’s, when infomercials started crossing over into pop culture, I used to love the Susan Powter Stop the Insanity! ads … as well as any infomercial that featured Jennilee Harrison from Three’s Company. She used to sell the Sobakawa Pillow, the Ultimate Chopper and more. While I never really became a fan of Billy Mays (who is the reigning king of infomercials these days), I have to admit that I like this Vincent Schlomi dude. To be honest, David and I even bought a box of ShamWow! towels for our home. We use them to wipe down the countertops while wearing our Snuggies. Okay, not really but … what can I say. It may be a wee bit pathetic but this infomercial stuff tends to work on me. I’m the kind of person that sees it on TV and then thinks, Hey, maybe I need that too. Hahahaha … I know I’m not alone in this but I should really stop talking about it publicly. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go use my PedEgg and cry in a corner.

Here are a few kinda but not really spoilery photos from the SoCal set of The CW set of 90210 of Jessica Stroup (who plays Erin Silver) and Dustin Milligan (who plays Ethan Ward) on the BH, 90210 spin-off filming new scenes for an upcoming ep of the show. I’m gonna go out on a limb and take a wild guess that, judging by the outfits that these two are wearing, 90210 is gearing up for a big prom night episode … behold:

If you’ve been watching 90210 this season, you should know by now (SPOILER ALERT IF YOU’VE NOT BEEN KEEPING UP) that Silver has turned all psycho stalker on boyfriend Dixon Wilson. Her erratic behavior reminds me of the character of Emily Valentine from the original Beverly Hills, 90210 who grew obsessed with Brandon Walsh and, out of desperation for him after he dumped her, set fire to the homecoming float that was parked in the Walsh driveway. HMMM … might Silver be headed for a similar storyline on the new series? Prom eps of high school dramas tend to be special affairs where something or other happens to the main characters. As you may recall, Brenda Walsh lost her virginity to Dylan McKay at her prom on the original series … but with all the sex that Silver and Dixon have been having all over the place, I don’t think we need to worry about that happening this time around. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what drama lies in store for the gang at West Beverly High this time around. I hope they make it good. Considering the drama that was brought by the original series, this show’s got some pretty big shoes to fill.

Ashton Kutcher, who is an avid user of Twitter, just posted a tweet that points to his Facebook profile which is featuring a new cameraphone video of him getting his chest waxed. According to Kutcher himself, because his stunt double from his new film Five Killers got a chest wax then so, too, did he have to get a chest wax as well … so of course, he had to share. Yesterday we saw photos of Paris Hilton and her new man Doug Reinhardt gettin’ all smoochy at LAX Airport as they made their way out of town bound for destination unknown. Today we learn that Pug Dilton can add Miami, FL to the list of cities where they have traveled to in order to publicly suck face together since they hooked up back in February … a list that includes the cities of Los Angeles, Tokyo, Las Vegas and the island of Maui, HI. These two have totally become the new Speidi. No longer are we bombarded with photos of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt smoochin’ all up on one another for the cameras all over Southern California … that mantle has been passed on to (or stolen by) Paris and Doug … who aren’t satisfied with merely showboating all over town here in LA but have to take their lurve as far and wide as they can. Speidi may have originated the practice but Pug Dilton have made it an art form. See, and people say that Paris Hilton isn’t good at anything. At least now we know what she is good at … she’s really good at spreading things … like love and other stuff. Good for her! I suspect that Pug Dilton will be staying in Miami (or at least in the area) thru the weekend. I can’t wait to see what other misadventures are in store for the two of them!

A couple of weeks ago we learned from a very excited Jamie Kennedy that he and his Ghost Whisperer co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt have coupled up … then a little over a week later, we saw photos of the pair on a romantic holiday together down in Mexico … presumably solidifying their new relationship. Today we get to see photos of the couple making their return from Mexico lookin’ anything but in love — could the honeymoon phase be over already? Check out these pix of a very bedraggled-looking Jamie and a suddenly shy J. Love at LAX Airport late Wednesday night:

HMMM … for some strange reason, Jennifer Love Hewitt doesn’t seem all that interested in being photographed … with Jamie? It seems odd that she would (unsuccessfully) try to cover her face with her tiny purse, especially when she looks all made up and beautiful. Could it possibly be that she is, for some reason, ashamed to be seen with her new boyfriend? I wonder what her problem is … any guesses?

A couple of weeks ago we saw what I was lead to believe was the single artwork for Kelly Clarkson’s second single I Do Not Hook Up from her latest album All I Ever Wanted but it turns out that what we saw previously is not the final artwork. Today we get to check out the official, final artwork for the single which compared to other artwork that has been created for this album looks more like the real deal … check it out:

Now this is more like it … the last cover image that we saw for this single was nice but it didn’t fit with the scheme of the artwork from Kelly’s album or her first single. As you may recall, the song was written by new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and Katy Perry. I understand that the video for I Do Not Hook Up has been filmed and is being put together now for an imminent release. I must say, I was a bit jarred by the vibrant color palette that is being used on Kelly’s new artwork at first but it has really grown on me. I love this photo … even tho it’s Photoshopped to unrealistic perfection. I can’t wait to see what the music video looks like. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long to see it.

Here are a few photos of Jake Gyllenhaal with his older sister Maggie Gyllenhaal and her daughter (his niece) Ramona enjoying some quality playtime together at a playground in Central Park in NYC recently and then out for lunch together at Ammo restaurant here in LA just this past Wednesday:

Curiously, we don’t usually get to see many photos of Jakey poo playing with or even carrying his niece Ramona very much. The little girl has grown so much, she’s a big kid now, and to my recollection these are among the first photos that I’ve seen of Jake with Ramona (I’m pretty certain we’ve never seen Jake with Ramona alone babysitting … mama Maggie is always present). I’m sure they spend a lot of time together often but nosomuch in public. Perhaps the time that Jake has spent in the company of Reese Witherspoon’s children has got him interested in hanging out with as many kids as possible. Might there be a little Jakey poo in the near future? In any event, I’m sure Jake is a great uncle and it’s cute to see him with kids … tho, I’m not sure I’m ready to see him with his own kids … not with Reese anyways … but mebbe someday. ‘Til then, I’m just fine seeing Jake with other people’s kids … even if it is every once in a blue moon.
