Earlier this year we learned that The CW has green lighted production of a Gossip Girl spin-off series that would focus on GG matriarch character Lily van der Woodsen from her wild child younger days in the 80’s. After buzz about the prequel series died down a bit we learned that Brittany Snow was cast in the role of young Lily van der Woodsen and today we get our first look at Brittany as Lily on the set of the as-yet-untitled GG spin-off project which began filming this week:

Gucci bag? Check. Riding boots and blazer? Check. Porsche convertible? Check her out! It’s the young Lily van der Woodsen! Brittany Snow looked just the part Tuesday as she packed up her Louis Vuitton luggage at the Sip-n-Pump gas station next to Neptune Restaurant in Malibu, Calif. Shooting just began on the new Gossip Girl spin-off, the highly-anticipated back story of Serena’s mom, played by Kelly Rutherford on the CW hit. Snow, 23, plays Lily Rhodes, who is growing up in Los Angeles in the ’80s. The show will chronicle Lily’s “wildchild teenager” days, according to a release from the CW. Former One Tree Hill star Matt Barr was recently cast as Keith van der Woodsen, a rich Malibu prince who is rumored to be Lily’s future husband since her married name is Lily van der Woodsen.

That includes her falling out with her parents, her subsequent move to the Valley to live with her black sheep sister and (gasp!) going to public school. This backdoor pilot will air as the May 11 episode of Gossip Girl.

See … I dunno about this. I mean, a prequel TV series that will run concurrently with the original show? While I am interested, somewhat, in the GG characters, I’m not sure that I’m all that interested in an entire backstory history of one of the older characters on the show. I think Lily van der Woodsen is a fabulous character on Gossip Girl but do I really care about her youth? I mean … I guess. The fact that the spin-off series is set in the 80’s has some appeal to me but … I’m not sold just yet. What do y’all think? Is this the spin-off you’d want to see from Gossip Girl?

It would seem that congratulations are in order for Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams … according to a good friend of mine (and a fine Southern gentleman), the couple got hitched yesterday in Savannah, GA!

As you may recall, we heard last month that the couple were planning to be wed but … I’m not sure anyone expected it to happen so soon. Honestly, tho, I can’t say that I’m surprised that R-Andy M-Adams went ahead and did the deed on the sly. Now, this news of the the couple’s nuptials is still unconfirmed but something tells me that this might be the real deal. In anticipation of a confirmation of their marriage, I’d like to send out much love and congrats to the happy couple!

Welp, it looks like there has been another loss for the Palin family. According to Mercede Johnston, sister of babydaddy Levi Johnston, Bristol Palin and Levi are no longer together since Bristol has reportedly cut him out of their baby boy Tripp’s life. Apparently, they’re dunzo, y’all!

The teen love affair that rocked last year’s presidential race is over. Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, has ditched her baby daddy, Levi Johnston! Now’s Levi’s sister, Mercede is telling all exclusively to Star and the picture she paints of life in Wasilla, Alaska is not a pretty one. Bristol, 18, has virtually cut Levi out of the life of their two-month-old son Tripp. “Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol makes it nearly impossible. She tells him he can’t take the baby to our house because she doesn’t want him around ‘white trash’!” Bristol won’t even allow him to watch the baby for a few hours — unless he’s babysitting! The worst part, Mercede continues, is that the former vice presidential candidate supports Bristol’s treatment of Levi, 19. “I used to love Sarah,” Mercede says sadly. “But I’ve lost lots of respect for her.”

Say it ain’t so!! I guess this break-up was to be expected. After the McCain/Palin ticket (blessedly) lost the presidential election, I figured it was only a matter of time before Levi’s usefulness started and wane and the poor kid could be sent off to pasture. Except for his being cut out of his son’s young life (allegedly), I’d think this news would be good for Levi:

According to Star magazine, the break-up got really dramatic … there was even a “hate-filled text message” from Bristol to Levi (isn’t there always a text message involved these days?) and there is a plan in place by the Johnston family to win access to baby Tripp! Oh my! Honestly, I’m not all that invested in the relationship between Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston but their unplanned teen pregnancy was such a thing last year … I think this story gives a nice sense of closure. I had almost forgot about these strange people who live in that far away place called Alaska.

Last week we got our first look at hot new couple Rachel McAdams and Josh Lucas showing the world just how much in lurve they are with one another as they were snapped in a passionate lip-lock on the public streets of Toronto, Canada. Clearly, the couple are still very much in lurve because here, again, are more photos of the couple swappin’ spit again … but this time, the kissing looks much less dramatic:

Those last photos we saw looked a bit … showy. These pics look more natural and sweet. While my heart still yearns for a resurrection of McGosling I think I can see Josh’s appeal to Rachel. With this skull cap on and from far away (while you squint your eyes), Josh looks like an older version of Ryan. Perhaps Rachel is in the market for a more mature and weathered man? It would seem that she deffo has a type … and she looks happy. Sigh. I think I can warm up to these two as a serious couple. What do y’all think?

Yesterday, we saw the first photos of new couple Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt in Hawaii (the latest holiday destination for the lovebirds) and today we get to see that they have settled in and are ready to enjoy all the wonderfully beautiful of nature that Hawaii has to offer. Paris and Doug spent part of their day yesterday enjoying one another’s company on the beach in Maui. Taking into account all the wonderful suggestions for a coupley name for these two that were offered by you Pink readers, I decided to dub the two of the Pug Dilton:

I had a hard time deciding which couple name was best for them … Pug or Dilton … so I decided to use both :) These new photos are further proof that the couple were made for one another. He is just the sort of guy that she deserves and she is exactly the type of girl that he is worth having … a perfect match! While some of y’all do not believe that these two will stay together for long (someone suggested we call them “One Month“) it is my sincerest hope that they stay together forever! Long live Pug Dilton!

Over the weekend we got our first look at the new Disney photo, shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz, which features Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Today, we get to check out a new interview with Zanessa that the pair gave to Disney twenty-three — a new official community for Disney fans. Here is a behind the scenes photo from the shoot (along with a reminder of the photo itself) and their new interview about the photo with D23:

As part of the Disney Dream Portrait Series, world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz transformed High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens into dashing Prince Phillip and lovely Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. D23 paid a visit to the photo shoot and got the inside-scoop from the adorable couple!

D23: So, how was the overall the experience today?
VH: It was a lot of fun, it was great.
ZE: (Referring to the scene) I mean she woke up; there was a 50-50 chance she wouldn’t wake up (both laughing).
VH: Yeah, you never know.
ZE: And I think we made it out OK.

Well, they’re not rocket scientists so I’m not sure what I was expecting from this interview. They gave pretty standard responses, nothing at all with any depth. The fact that Zac “kinda likes” Prince Phillip was pretty much the highlight for me. But, really, it’s not at all about the interview … or even the actors … it’s all about the photograph and I must admit that it’s a beautiful photo. Leibovitz has a really great eye and she knows how to capture a moment beautifully. Altho Zanessa aren’t really my favorites, I can appreciate that they look pretty amazing in this Disney photo. I don’t think they should do any future interviews, tho … hearing them speak doesn’t help their attractiveness.
