Twilight star and everyone’s favorite vampire actor Robert Pattinson has made his way to SoCal this week presumably to take care of some biz before he ventures up into Canada to begin filming of the new Twilight sequel New Moon (or, should I say, The Twilight Saga’s New Moon?). For a guy who is being paid the big bucks to portray a pale-skinned vampire, he sure seems OK with venturing out into the sun:

At least he’s wearing the requisite all black outfit. It shant be long now before all members of the Twilight gang head up North to begin work on the new film. I’d suggest that R. Pattz refrain from spending too much time in the California sun. We wouldn’t want his dazzling beauty to incapacitate any unsuspecting young ladies, now would we?

Halle Berry, star of the Silver Screen, is the latest celebrity to come out with her very own fragrance … cuz, we really don’t have enough celebrity smells on the market already. Those of you who have always wanted to smell like Halle Berry can finally get your wish … behold, Halle:

This new advert is really sexy, Halle Berry is an insanely beautiful woman. I dunno that that alone will inspire enough folks to run out and buy their own bottle of Halle but … you can’t blame a woman for trying. Whether or not this new fragrance smells sweet or not, you just know that Halle Berry herself smells lovely. Yeah, I can see how some women might want to smell as lovely as she.

Reese Witherspoon is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Elle magazine. In her coverstory interview, the Elle interviewer tries to get Reese to talk a bit about her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal … but she doesn’t fall for it ;) Here is Reese’s coverphoto and a portion of her interview with the mag:

On her divorce: “Very humiliating and very isolating…But, by the way, if it’s not painful, maybe it wasn’t the right decision to marry to begin with. Those are the appropriate emotions. When people get in your face and say, ‘This will pass,’ you think, Are they crazy? I’m never gonna feel any better than I feel right this minute and nothing’s ever gonna make sense again. And I still have moments where I’m like, Nothings ever gonna make sense again.”

On being a young mother: “When I first had Ava, I couldn’t afford [help]. And it was so hard. I was out in Los Angeles, living [away from my family]. I really didn’t have any friends. And I had a baby. No one else who was 22 had a baby. I couldn’t go out.”

In all honesty, Reese really strikes me as a very sweet woman … one that is entirely wrong for Jake Gyllenhaal, but a sweet woman that I quite like. She deffo strikes me as one of the more genuine actresses in Hollywood. People magazine brings us our first look at Michelle Trachtenberg on the NYC set of Gossip Girl, in her role as Georgina Sparks, filming new scenes with Ed Westwick (as Chuck Bass) for eps that will air this Spring. When last we saw Georgina on the show, she was being dragged away by her parents to boarding school after she got caught raising havoc among the main GG kids. It would seem that her long exile is now over and she’s back to raise some more Hell:

Michelle Trachtenberg, who plays the deliciously evil Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl, is returning to the show beginning April 27 for the final four episodes of season 2. This photo, shot on Feb. 24 with Ed Westwick (who plays bad boy Chuck Bass), was taken on location on New York’s Staten Island. No word on what exactly this duo are up to, but we bet Georgina has something up her designer sleeve. When we last saw her, she had been shipped off to reform school after drugging and blackmailing her former best friend Serena and trying to steal her boyfriend Dan. And executive producer Stephanie Savage offered a clue, telling PEOPLE during the show’s summer hiatus, “I don’t think there’s any boot camp in Idaho or anywhere else that will hold Georgina Sparks for long … I don’t think she was very happy with Blair. They have some unfinished business.” And now she’s with troublemaker Chuck! The Upper East Side’s Queen B better watch out.

Aww yeah, the Sparks are gonna fly once again. You just knew that a baddie like Georgina wouldn’t stay away for long. While I doubt her machinations will be quite as dubious as they were last year, I’m sure she’ll be up to no good … just the way we love her to be :) I gotta say, tho, Michelle’s hair in this photo has her lookin’ a lot like Dawn Summers (a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer) rather than Miss Sparks. Perhaps the goody-goody hair is a sign that Georgina is trying to be a good girl — or at least pretend to be one? Wee!! I cannot wait for her return!!! Are any of y’all excited too?

Yesterday was a cloudy, dreary day here in SoCal … which is perfect weather for reading :) Because I am planning on attending the midnight showing of the big screen adaption of Watchmen on Thursday night, I really wanted to make sure that I read as much of the Watchmen graphic novel before then. I had already read the first 3 or 4 chapters and sat down to read for most of the day:

I managed to get thru chapter 11 with only the final chapter to go. Yeah, it’s a really great read. It’s so smart and so really intelligent … it’s very much a nice change of pace from the usual drivel that I entertain myself with these days ;) I totally understand why so many folks are such devoted fans of the graphic novel. I’m anxious to read how the whole saga ends … I hope to have it completed this afternoon.

David and I are planning a little grocery store outing later on … which is always fun. It’s rainy today but the temps aren’t too bad. I’m just dying for Summer to get here already :)
