Vicki B. Talks To ‘New York’ Magazine
Yesterday we saw photos of Vicki B. as she breezed her way thru NYC to make a brief appearance at NY Fashion Week before packing up her shizz and headin’ home to be with her children. Altho VB didn’t make too much of a splash in NYC this week, she did take some time to sit down with New York magazine’s fashion director Harriet Mays Powell about her latest collection of dVb dresses. Here are a few screencaps from this new interview:

Victoria Beckham sat down with Harriet Mays Powell to talk about her new line — when she says that seeing her designs on a rack next to YSL is “more exciting than having a huge album,” we totally understand. She also introduces us to “Sucky, Sucky” dress and claims to do the dishes in a gold minidress. See? Posh is fun!
Wonder of wonders, the interview actually proves that VB is kinda, sorta human. After the jump, watch the clip in full …
I really do love Vicki B. much better when she’s being interviewed … the cold, icy demeanor we see in photos just melts away. Sure, seeing her talk kinda reminds me of those creepy talking mannequins that are peppered thruout the new movie Confessions of a Shopaholic (if you’ve seen the movie, you know what I’m talking about) but she does come across as likable. Truth be told, her new batch of designs actually look pretty posh. She may actually have a long career in fashion … but can real women really wear her stuff? I’m not so sure. At least VB is honest about who her target customer is … in the interview, she says that she designs for women like her. Based on the collection pieces showcased in this vid, I would absolutely agree.

I have always loved her, people just don’t get her, us Brits
have a very subtle sense of humour that doesn’t always translate in the states which I think is changing slightly now thanks to the wonders of the internet.

Vicki B. has always been at the top of my list. She is the definition of the word fabulous (and I RARELY use that word anymore thanks to those dicks over at Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.)
Her collection is modern and sheik, while still keeping it simple and linear. LOVE IT!

I really do love her. And I like her style. She comes off much better in interviews than in the tabloid shots we normally see of her.
