In this article from The Telegraph, it states that the parents of Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail have yet to receive any information with regards to their "trust fund", and even states that Azharuddin Ismail sleeps under a piece of plastic with his TB infected father since their house was torn down. Most of the money that Azhrauddin earned was also spent on medication for his father, and is now completely gone (although I understand this is not the studio's fault). My favorite part of the Oscars this year was seeing them on the red carpet(they looked so happy and full of joy) and then going up there to with everyone for best picture. You could see the tears in their eyes. What a wonderful few days for these kids. I was watching Inside Edition and they were talking about how the actors that play the littlest kids in the movie still actually live in the slum's :( I cant even image what must be going on in their heads when they got off that plane in LA, haha. and they were SO good in the movie!
