‘The Real Housewives Of Orange County’s Slade Smiley Is Busted!
Slade Smiley, who featured in the first 3 seasons of the Bravo reality TV series The Real Housewives of Orange County, was recently arrested for failing to pay his child support. Now, I realize that a great many of you prolly don’t even know who this reality TV nobody is but I’ve been in a Real Housewives way lately and his arrest seems very timely. Here is Slade’s very un-smiley mugshot:
The law is frowning upon Slade Smiley. The former Real Housewives of Orange County beau was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for civil contempt after allegedly falling behind on his child-support payments and other court-related fees. Smiley, who footed the bill for the O.C. lifestyle that Jo De La Rosa once enjoyed on Housewives, was released later that night after posting $10,000 bail. “We became aware that there was a warrant in the system for him and a possible location he was at,” Costa Mesa Police Department Lt. Clay Epperson told E! News Monday. “We went out there, he identified himself, submitted to an arrest without any problem, and he was booked into our jail for civil contempt.” Smiley said today in a statement released by his rep that this incident means nothing as far as how he feels about his kids. “This is an unfortunate situation that has occurred,” Smiley said. “My son is very ill and we have been working on resolving the issue of support versus his enormous medical bills with the appropriate agencies for several months now. It is sad that individuals would take advantage of the situation in an attempt to defame and discredit me in such a public manner. For those who know me, there is nothing more important than my children.” Smiley has two sons, Grayson and Gavin, from two previous relationships. The businessman moved, along with De La Rosa, from Housewives to the Bravo matchmaking series Date My Ex: Jo and Slade, in which Smiley roomed with a batch of potential love interests for his former live-in girlfriend.
For his part, Slade maintaining his innocence based on his ignorance that he wasn’t even aware that he was behind on child support payments … which is a lame excuse but I suppose is believable. Yeah, I’m not all that interested in Smiley’s arrest … but man, that reunion of The Real Housewives of Orange County that aired last night as AMAZING! It was truly the best reunion of any Housewives series ever (tho, most of them are really damn fun to watch). I suppose it’s to be expected that someone from this batch of reality TV “stars” would be arrested … I honestly thought it would’ve been one of the horrible OC children. I predict that we may see more mugshots from these folks in the future. So … did any of y’all watch the Housewives Reunion last night? What did y’all think?

This guy creeps me out! Tamra was out of control last night! Her and Vicki are total bullies. I just was shocked to watch them both pick on Gretchen (Who I met by the way and is really nice). I thought the show last night was pretty good and it was almost as good as the finale for the Atlant wives but nothing compares to NINI!!

I am glad they arrested him………any person who is in arrears on their child support should feel the full wrath of the law………and I am with you Trent……..I was ALL about the reunion last night and I am still Team Gretchen……..Tamra and Vicki’s real obvious jealousy just keeps spewing out……;-)

My baby daddy owes over $20,000 to me but he’s never been arrested!! Lame..The reunion was pretty good, but it’s so hard to watch those two bitches Vicki and Tamra..They’re so jealous of Gretchen and made it SO obvious during the show..Then they come on and say that they’re nice people?? Bah! I hope they get a Botox infection one of these days..

Totally OT but according to OK Mag Brit’s bodyguard has just testified in court that Britney wants Sam to leave her the fuck alone and that she’s so scared of him that she can’t sleep and asked him to increase the security around her house!!!!!!

Ohhhhh goodness, the reunion was totally nuts! Tamra and Vicky were totally out of line! Why is Tamra so obsessed and jealous of someone 10 years her junior?? I actually believe Tamra’s story and feel that Gretchen probably did have some sort of weird set-up going with Jay/Jeff. But regardless, the revelation just made Tamra look even worse at the end of the day. Why get so worked up about someone else’s life? Especially someone who you claim to only have a “business relationship” with and not a friendship. Gretchen was nothing but nice to her.

i loved tamra and vicki on one couch, and the others on the opposite side! Jeana barely spoke, but she was totally enjoying the dramz!
Also loved Laurie’s 3 minute segment, and how she was gone for the last part and they took the chair out too LOL
I’m glad they’re going to be back for another season. The orig housewives will always hold a place in my heart.

according to the “jay” guy referred to on last night’s reunion:
“I lived with Gretchen in Costa Mesa. And was living out of a suitcase with a friend when I left because she was going to dinner with Slade. When I went to pick up more clothes on Wed Feb 18th Slades car was in the driveway. I know Gretchen well so I called the police dept to do a civil asst and help me recover some more clothes. I had proper identification to be there so they attempted to get Slade or Gretchen to open the door. No response from them so when I told them I have a way to get in the dispatcher recieved a call from Slade saying he was with Gretchen and they were in Vegas. Slade called a recorded line to lie to the police. He also told the dispatcher that a neighbor called him to say the police were there. So that is why he called. So I proceeded to enter the house as I did I saw there was Slades wallet shirt Jacket shoes and car keys were in plain sight. The officer and I then heard foot steps upstairs. But Slade and Gretchen would still not come out of her room. This is public information and probably on a report. I did recover more clothes BUT did not have a moving truck set up so I was only able to get clothes not furniture. The officers did not tell me but I over heard them say He has a suspended Lic and a fake tag on his unregistered car as well as a warrant for $10,000 out of LA county. This is what I think I heard. I will be moving the rest of my stuff out next week.”

Tamra and Vicki are psychos, especially when Vicki kept saying she was “nice’ and Lynne was actually the mean one. They have an opinion about everything, but then they do most of what they talk shit about. Tamra saying Gretchen doesn’t have morals, but she is trying to get her naked wasted. She is so jealous of Gretchen, it’s almost sad. I don’t know why Vicki made the comment about the underage drinking thing. Even though her children are of age to drink, it’s digusting that she goes to the lake with them and does beer bongs and acts like shes in college. I am 22 years old and my parents don’t even like me to drink in front of them, and they would never drink like that in front of me either. Tamra and Vicki have no class!!

I think that Gretchen is great. She is so pretty, and I agree with everyone that Tamra and Viki are jealous. People can say that she was never with Jeff and stuff like that, but we only saw part of her life. Of course the cameras aren’t going to go to the hospital and film Gretchen in there and the parts when Jeff is real sick. I think that she did amazing and I applaud her for that! And with her going out with the girls – she does need time away to clear her head also!

I totally missed the show last night I hope it will air again!! I watched “date my ex” it was so obvious that Slade was in love with his ex !! Over all I thought the show was really stupid.Pointless if he were still in love with her and he was trying to find her a new man HUH!!

The reunion was awesome. I loved it. Yeah, Vicki and Tamra are really mean and jealous *but* I believe what Tamra is saying because by what we could see I don’t think Gretchen was faithful to Jeff.

OMFG the reunion was AWESOME!!! I think that yes Vicki & Tamra are b*tches but…. I also think this explains a bit about why Tamra was sooo not feelin Gretchen. I think that Jay story is probably true…. Ya know what – just love the drama!! Would be f’ing boring if it was all nice chicks…gotta love the b*tches!!!!!

Vicki is a out of control bitch, even her kids can’t stand her. The Lynne thing was just mean and Vicki tries to turn it around on her. B-I-T-C-H.
I used to like Tamra, but wow she is pathetic.
I’m almost ashamed to say I’m from the O.C.(H.B).
I think Gretchen is a little fakey, but really sweet. Who cares about her other relationships, she wasn’t married and stayed with Jeff thru his sickness-that says a lot. I really felt bad for her and Lynne.

TamRA was so disgusting last night. I have never seen a grown woman act more like a jealous twat in my entire life. Her sole intention this season & last night seemed to make Gretchen’s life miserable. I think there may be some truth to the whole Gretchen-Jay thing, but I completely agree that Tamra’s reveal made her look worse than Gretchen.

Tamra is one hot mess. Whether Gretchen was faithful (or not) what business is it of hers? I think Tamra needs tmajor therapy. That girl needs to start questioning why she drinks so damn much and why she gets so much pleasure out of belittling others. She’s got 3 young kids, is this really the way she wants to be portrayed????

Glad to see I am not the only one to feel that way about Vickie and Tamra. I could not do that show with them, I would be in jail. I thought Confessions show was great! I think Gretchen has a good heart and probably loved Jeff personally and financially. She’s a young girl with needs so, yes, I believe she was fooling around on the side. And IT IS our business cause she’s on a freakin reality show!! Tamra, your getting old like the rest of us and it isn’t sittin so well with you…that’s obvious.
