The Wrestler, Milk, Vicki Christina Barcelona, Frozen River and The Visitor are all nominated, in some capacity, for Oscars. Man on A Wire is the favourite to win Best Doc...there doesn't seem to be much Indy about the Indies this year except that Ben Button wasn't nominated. And it shouldn't have been nominated for anything. Ever. Doesn’t it seem like the Indie Film awards were a bit redundant this year?
