This evening, David and I will be hosting a small group of friends to watch the Academy Awards at our home and we spent much of yesterday taking care of preparations for the shindig. We ran a few errands for decorations, drinks and food and spent much of last night tidying up. It was my job to put together the fun giftbags that each of our guests will be going home with:
And we’ve got pretty fun prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of our Guess the Oscar Winners game. We also have an area set up for arrivals photos and I plan to take snaps of the winners with their prizes … should be fun!!! I hope all y’all are having a great day today … and be sure to send in your pics if any of y’all have Oscar parties tonight :)

I’m curious too Courtney. lol I don’t know whether I’ll bother watching the Oscars…it’s not broadcast here until Monday night because it’s actually happening during the day here, if you understand what I mean. We here the winners all afternoon, so it’s really no point watching if you want to have a surprise.

I love to watch the red carpet entrance to see what everyone is wearing. After that I get kind of bored. But if I was at a party, that would make it more fun. I am also curious to know what is in the goodie bags. You guys really know how to do it up good. Sounds like fun.

I’m sad ESTELLE GETTY was not in the Memoriam section..she was in films, not just TV. She died in time to be put in, right? She was in Mannequin, Torch Song Trilogy, Stop or My Mom Will Shoot, etc…and MASK!
