Rihanna Named As Chris Brown Assault Victim
More information is coming out about Chris Brown’s arrest last night for felonious assault … TMZ is now reporting, via their own sources, that Rihanna has been named in the police report (her legal name of Robyn Fenty is said to be listed on the report) and that she is alleging that Chris assaulted her with a deadly weapon! Wow! Here is a photo of ChRihanna as they made their way out of the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel late Saturday night (where they were in attendance for that Clive Davis tribute event earlier in the night), just one half hour before the alleged incident took place in Hancock park:
This shot was taken as the couple left Clive Davis’ Grammy party in Beverly Hills just after midnight on Sunday morning. One interesting thing — they overshot their hotel by miles, ending up in Hancock Park, miles east of their West Hollywood hotel. We don’t know where they were heading.
Then, sometime around 12:30AM the incident occurred — we still do not know exactly what happened despite reports of the allegations. BUT, we do know that Chris Brown was arrested last night … here are a couple photos of Chris has he tried to hide his face after being released from police custody after he posted his $50,000 bond — along with the new TMZ report on the allegations of assault with a deadly weapon:
TMZ has confirmed Rihanna is the named alleged victim in the Chris Brown case and the allegation is that she was assaulted with a deadly weapon. Law enforcement sources tell us the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon — we do not yet know the nature of the weapon. The crime report gives the victim’s name as Robyn Fenty — that’s Rihanna’s real name.
I am just … stunned by this news. At this point, the prosecutor’s office can move forward and prosecute Chris Brown on these charges with or without the victim’s help or testimony … BUT, if we’re ever to find out what really happened, that info will likely only come if the victim, Rihanna as it is being reported, cooperates fully with the police. Things are looking worse as this story unfolds. If an assault of any nature occurred last night, I sincerely hope that Rihanna presses charges against her attacker. There is NEVER an excuse for violence by one human being against another. More info as it becomes available …

Just another sad reminder that Domestic Violence knows no bounds. Good for her for calling the police – many victims don’t right away and that is what causes people to be stuck in the cycle until it’s too late.

I don’t even know what to say. As much as I like Chris Brown, I hope that he gets punished for his actions. I also hope that Rihanna doesn’t go back to him, because after it happens once, it can happen again. So sad.

@ Melinda, I mentioned that in the first post about this, he was apparently scared of this man, and I can only imagine how much he scared the ones he cares about and himself by becoming the person he always feared.
Clearly he needs to be punished, but he also needs help, or the vicious cycle of going from victim to abuser will not end. I can only hope this was the first time, so they can help him tackle the issue before it becomes something that can never be fixed.

Sad. I think it is imperative for her to stick to her guns and fully press charges. It will send the kind of message to young women that this kind of behavior is not acceptable and empower them to do something about it if they are ever in this situation!

This is so shocking! While watching the Grammy’s last night I thought they were pulling some publicity stunt by saying that both Rhianna and Chris Brown had “pulled out at the last minute”. It’s so sad.

@Lisa — my advice would be to take all reports with a HUGE grain of salt. there is very little OFFICIAL information out there right now, everything else is merely conjecture … with a story like this, outright lies can run rampant and muddy the waters of truth. don’t believe everything you read.

My heart breaks over this. Its a terrible thing to have happen and to have it be on a day that would garner so much attention that its just everywhere. Poor Rhianna. I am glad that she went forth with pressing charges, I’m sure it wasn’t easy for her to do being in the public eye knowing that it would be such big news.
I have read the rumors about the bite marks. That is just crazy and really really frightening and awful.

I find this hard to believe. True that I don’t know Chris Brown at all, but he seems like a nice guy with a huge career ahead of him…it seems so bizzare that he would assault another famous person who in all other pics (besides these) shows he is in love with her…they are together so much! This does happen though. If he did hurt Rihanna on purpose then I hope he is punished, but I am wishing the best for them both right now, until more facts are made public.

the public does not have enough evidence to pass judgement. Hence, the wrongful accusation that there was ‘deadly weapon’…I think everyone needs to relax a bit until there is more info. Assault charges of any kind is a very serious offense, however we do not know what really happened during the altercation.

I hope he was drunk. (Not that that is an excuse) but it would make me feel better knowing that he didn’t do it in his right mind. If he’s guilty, I hope his punk ass does time in jail. Not years and years, but a few weeks would do him some good.

I too am wondering what the circumstances were around this. Were they drinking/drunk? Was she found cheating (high tempers)? Not that that excuses that behavior and I have been abused by men before so I have a strong feeling about that, but I also know what it’s like when two people start pushing each other’s buttons and no one walks away. Drinking may explain something that seems out of character for Chris. Not that I know him personally but he is one that stays out of tabloids for the wrong reasons. They are young and people make mistakes so I hope that he learned his lesson and will never do this again. Maybe he should take anger management courses, OR help out somehow with domestic violence. And I hope Rihanna also has learned something in a positive way. We don’t know how their relationship is, it may always have had some tension.

In a situation where violence against anyone (especially a spouse or S.O.) has occured, its important to trust what the person is saying is true if they come forward because SO MANY women don’t come forward for help when they are in abusive relationships. I understand this whole story regarding Chris Brown and Rihanna is speculation as to what really happened and why, but your comment is just wrong dude.

there is absolutely no excuse for hitting anyone. and the reason it is especially bad for a guy to hit a girl is because guys are physically stronger than girls and that’s a fact (generally speaking, obviously there are exceptions with some women being crazy strong like a body builder or something…not the case here). if he did hit her, and with the new reports coming in it sounds like he did, he need to be punished appropriately (jail time) and then get help.
i think it is great that rihanna was strong enough and smart enough to call the police. i’m not a huge rihanna fan (i like about every second song she puts out) but i’m very impressed with how she has handled this situation (if the reports are right and she is the victim). if he did hit her i hope she continues to press charges and does everything she can to make sure he is punished properly. i also hope when she is ready (and it could be a while) she is able to use this terrible experience to help other people who may be in a similar situation to be brave enough to come forward and get justice.

i can’t believe chris brown would do this…i still don’t fully believe it. it’s so bizarre and crazy! he had an absolutely perfect image, and i get that that was just an image but he seemed so lovely, especially with the whole “treating a woman right” because of his stepfather. if this is true, it’s sickening and heartbreaking. i never, in a million years expected him to do this. but we have to wait and hear his side of the story.
