Yesterday we saw a few photos of Britney Spears spending some quiet, alonetime with her sons Sean Preson and Jayden James at their home in SoCal before they all packed their bags and boarded a plane for Kentwood, LA. Britney and her crew, including Papa Jamie Spears and her still assistant Brett Miller, arrived in Kentwood late yesterday afternoon where they were met by members of the Spears clan, including Mama Lynne Spears and big brother Bryan Spears … here are a few photos:

Britney Spears is on the road again. The singer flew from Los Angeles to McComb, Miss. on Friday in anticipation of kicking off her Circus tour on Tuesday, March 3 in New Orleans. Spears, 27, arrived in at the airport – about 15 miles from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana – looking fit and pretty in a red top and black skirt. She was accompanied by an entourage of about a dozen people, including her two sons Preston, 3, and Jayden, 2, and her brother. The singer was met by her parents Lynne and Jamie Spears, who greeted Britney with a kiss on her forehead. According to a twitter posting on the singer’s Web site, she wrote that her status as of Friday afternoon was: “On my way to Kentwood … Five days left! So excited.” The tour is the last major step in Spears’s comeback, which she started last fall. “She looks great, she’s working out three or four hours a day,” a source close to the family tells PEOPLE. “Everybody’s pulling for her after all she’s been through.”

This pit stop is the last for Britney before she officially kicks off her tour The Circus starring Britney Spears in New Orleans, LA next Tuesday. I imagine that Brit Brit will be recharging her batteries at home with her family for the next few days as final preparations for her tour continue to unfold. It must be a terribly exciting time for Britney right now … she’s been away from the performance stage for quite some time now. I’m trying not to have too grand expectations about her new tour. While I’m sure it’ll be a fun spectacle, I’m not really going into seeing it with any sort of expectations. I know it’ll rock … I just hope she’s ready. It won’t be long until we find out just how ready she really is.

I know that a lot of folks are very excited at the other X-Men who will be featured in this X-Men Origins film (like Gambit, Deadpool, Silver Fox) but I’m only really interested in Wolverine and his origin story. People magazine is reporting that Rihanna, who made her way to Mexico this week to recuperate from the injuries she received allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend Chris Brown in the early morning hours of February 8, has reunited with Chris Brown in an attempt to reconcile. The magazine reports that ChRihanna are staying together at one of P. Diddy’s homes in Miami, FL. Having read the reports and seen the photo of Rihanna’s battered face, I am stunned by this development:

Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. The pair have reunited almost three weeks after Brown, 19, allegedly battered the “Umbrella” singer on Feb. 8, a source tells PEOPLE. “They’re together again. They care for each other,” says the source. The on-again couple are currently spending time together at one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s homes, on Miami Beach’s Star Island. Adds the source: “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.” In its latest issue, PEOPLE reports that Brown called Rihanna on her 21st birthday one week ago. “He called to wish her happy birthday,” a source told the magazine. “They’ve reached out to each other. It’s been mutual.” Brown was booked by LAPD for making criminal threats but the case has not yet been presented to the District Attorney, who will ultimately determine which charges, if any, will be prosecuted.

I am UTTERLY and completely shocked at this news. I cannot, for the life of me, imagine being so quick to forgive anyone laying their hands on me in a combative or threatening manner. Then again, we have no idea what really happened between Rihanna and Chris Brown on the morning of February 8. While I am saddened by this news, I don’t know that I or anyone has any right to judge what we don’t know. I do know that Rihanna was assaulted because I’ve seen the photo … beyond that, I dunno … I just don’t even know what to say. I guess Chris Brown’s apology resonated with her … or something.

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, has already gone on the record to say that he supports his daughter’s decision to allow Chris Brown back in her life:

Rihanna’s father Ronald Fenty has spoken exclusively from his home in Barbados about his daughter’s decision to get back with Chris Brown. Rihanna and Brown are holed up together at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mansion on Star Island near Miami. It comes just three weeks after Brown allegedly battered the singer the night before the Grammy Awards on Feb 8. Fenty says, “I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that’s the road she wants to choose, I’m behind her. I hope to see her soon. I talked to her after her birthday, and she told me she’s OK.”

On this, I do have something to say. There is no way I would casually support any loved one, especially my daughter, to put herself in harm’s way by letting an alleged attacker back into her life. I just cannot fathom how a father would be so willing to support this kind of decision. Mebbe I’m wrong but I really think that parents should more actively step in and try and guide their children when they appear to be making poor decisions. Mebbe my daughter would be pissed at me but at least I’d feel much more comfortable knowing that I was doing everything I could to try and keep her from getting hurt again. This whole thing is so … odd. I’m really at a loss.

Kevin Federline and his new ladyfriend Victoria Prince were spotted making their way out of their weekly bowling game in Hollywood, CA last night … and by the looks of K-Fed bowling ball, he was in a pretty happy mood:

Now that K-Fed’s ex-wife and sugarmama Britney Spears is just about to embark a new tour, he is lookin’ to get paid a nice and tidy sum of money on a weekly basis for the duration of the tour just so that she can have her children with her on the road. I imagine the prospect of this new money coming in is another reason for K-Fed’s smile. Man, he is such a tool. This bowling ball would look really cute if almost anyone else was carrying it … under K-Fed’s arm, it just looks lame.

Vicki B. was spotted driving around SoCal in a (new?) black Bentley convertible taking great pains to hide as much of her head as possible. Um, is that a trucker hat I see plastered on top of her head?!?

HMMM … I wonder what ON EARTH could force the usually impeccably dressed Vicki B. venture out in public lookin’ like this?! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see anything wrong with dressing down and lookin’ comfy but VB does not ever go out in public lookin’ like this. She’s wearing a trucker hat, y’all … that’s weird. Could she be embarrassed to show her face around town since Les Beckhams will be staying in LA after hubby David Beckham very publicly proclaimed that he didn’t want to return to LA? Could she be nursing an unsightly blemish and was on her way to pick up some ointment to help clear it up? Could she have blown a fuse and is merely malfunctioning to the point that her robot sense of style is slightly out of whack? The possibilities are endless … but I must say, it’s a nice change of pace to see her lookin’ so normal. Even so … I wonder what her problem is. Any guesses?

Entertainment Weekly magazine is reporting that Hollywood actress and movie producer Drew Barrymore is among the folks being considered by Summit Entertainment to direct the third installment of the movie franchise version of the Twilight Saga. Because the theatrical release of The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse has been set for a mere 7 months after the first sequel The Twilight Saga’s New Moon will be released in theaters, a different director will need to be at the helm of the third movie. According to EW, Drew Barrymore is in the running for directing duties:

As Summit Entertainment looks to lock in a director for the third installment of the Twilight series, Eclipse, the company is talking to a select group of directors — including actress-turned-helmer Drew Barrymore, EW has learned. While this news may come as a surprise to some, Barrymore did just finish work on her directorial debut, Whip It! starring Ellen Page. Neither Summit nor Barrymore’s reps would comment for this story.

Interesting. It remains to be seen who else is in this “select group of directors” under consideration but I hope that, like Drew, there are a few female directors in there. As you may or may not know, Drew’s production company made the new Charlie’s Angels movies that those turned out pretty cool. I have no idea what kind of job Drew might do as director of a movie like Eclipse but … I’d be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. It sure does seem like a whole lot of Hollywood folks want to get their fingers in the Twilight Saga movie franchise pie … which kinda sorta worries me. What do y’all think?
