Michael Jackson Suffers The Ravages Of Time
Yikes! is pretty much the best way to describe a disturbing new photo of Michael Jackson that was snapped this week as the man ventured out in public in Beverly Hills, CA. Wearing his, now, trademark surgical mask and cap, Jacko failed to wear gloves on this outing which meant that he had to show off his badly damaged hands … not a pretty sight:

He’s spent millions, by all accounts, keeping his face lily white and smooth. But perhaps Michael Jackson should have put some of that money towards his hands. Or at least have invested in a pair of gloves. The singer’s fingers and nails appeared to be in a terrible state when he stepped out this week. They showed signs of ageing and a distinct lack of care, with puffy, reddened skin and prominent veins. Jackson, 50, was pictured in Beverly Hills. An onlooker said: “His hands looked very discoloured and skin looked like it was dangling from his fingers. His fingernails could only be described as a manicurist’s worst nightmare.” As usual, the star had covered his head with a surgical cap and mask and a pair of dark glasses before he stepped out. On the rare occasions when his face has been seen, experts have pointed to scarring on his nose and hollows either side of it from cosmetic operations. The ’stitched-on’ appearance of his hairline has also lent weight to rumours that he wears a hairpiece or has had ‘plugs’ of hair inserted into his scalp. He is also thought to have arthritis. Jackson’s increasingly frail appearance has prompted speculation about the state of his health.
Ye gods! I’ve seen some scary photos of Michael Jackson before but … yeesh, this pic has to take the cake. The poor man looks like he is literally falling apart. It’s such a shame to see how much worse Jacko seems to get from day to day … I shudder to think what could be hiding underneath that mask. Again, I say, Yikes!

He’s insane, yes?
February 7th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
Trent, you know he is Lupus right?
February 7th, 2009 at 1:58 pm
I think before bloggers write stuff they should really do their research, my sister suffers from this disease, and it’s not a laughing matter. Her skin is worse than Micheal’s FYI.
February 7th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
This is old news. Perez Hilton posted these pics two days ago.
February 7th, 2009 at 3:02 pm
@ Nick, wow, two days is considered old? Well, I guess in the gossip world it is. Not everyone goes to Perez Hilton fyi. Plus, Trent doesn’t sit at his computer screen 24/7 like Perez does. Anyways… it is pretty sad. It’s spirit week at my high school and we’re doing a show of The Jackson 5 song “I want you back” and we’ve been studying their dance moves and it is so weird to see Michael so young and… black. not to mention normal.
February 7th, 2009 at 3:05 pm
@jane — No I don’t know that. I do know that MJ has never admitted to having any illness, not sure where you got the lupus info from.
February 7th, 2009 at 3:14 pm
I was gonna say – it looks like he has some sort of auto-immune problem. I’ve never heard that he had Lupus, but I don’t really keep up with MJ that much…. but there are a lot of things that could cause an auto-immune response…. even down to his body possibly reacting to a plastic surgury….. maybe he has RA (rheumatoid arthritis).. which is very similar to Lupus, in symptoms. Whatever it is, there’s OBVIOUSLY a health problem of some sort… looks like he’s wearing masks to keep from catching anything. He’s so damn weird, there’s no telling.
February 7th, 2009 at 3:29 pm
If he has RA, he’s showing it pretty badly. I mean, my mother and I both have RA, and at 50 and 20 we both look a lot better than that. XD
February 7th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
Trent – look at MJ’s wikipedia page. He definitely has lupus:

it just looks like he has old man hands….which doesn’t surprise me, he’s in his 50’s right?
February 7th, 2009 at 7:08 pm
I’ve never heard that he has Lupus. His hands just look like old man’s hands to me. There is nothing to stop the ravaging of aging on your hands…believe me I know this.

[...] Pink is the New Blog comenta a nova bizarrice envolvendo Michael [...]
February 7th, 2009 at 7:31 pm
Trent/Pink is so much better than that ‘other’ site it’s not even funny. Sure, I’ve had my disagreements with Trent (mainly with Brit Brit), but still..this site is easy to navigate, and there are usually regulars on here like your friends at Cheers! The ‘other’ site..yuk. I stopped going there. Gossip aside, he is one of the worst writers imaginable. He’s about as shallow as a wading pool.
February 7th, 2009 at 8:04 pm
My mom has lupus, her hands look a lot like that. I’ve never heard about him having it though. It mostly affects women, and is also more likely in people of non-European descent. If he’s got a family history of any sort of auto-immune disease (not necessarily just lupus) it wouldn’t be surprising if he has one. Though it could also be caused by environmental factors or some sort of drug reaction. And with all he’s done to himself it wouldn’t be that shocking.
That is assuming he does have lupus, and that it’s SLE in particular, I don’t know much about the other variations of it.
February 7th, 2009 at 9:22 pm
@Jane #1 – As House would say, “it’s not Lupus!” Haha I’m not really sure one way or the other, but I just had to say it.
I used to be a funeral director and his hands look like a corpse’s – really dehydrated and pale from the lack of blood circulation. I feel so badly for the man because he has the worst body dismorphic disorder I’ve ever seen in my life. The pale color is most likely from his overuse of skin bleaching creams to even out his supposed vitiligo, and the “saggy” skin is probably a combination of dehydration and poor nutrition. When that “Living with Michael Jackson” documentary came out, I remember people saying how he hardly liked any foods at all, and many people have speculated that he has anorexia nervosa.
He’s got such young children, I hope he’s able to take better care of himself so he can be a good father. :(
February 7th, 2009 at 9:38 pm
He needs so much mental help, it’s sad. Even if he does have Lupis, that doesnt make him absolutely insane.
MJ, get help, please.

I have been visiting this site for years. This is my last visit. I find your rhetoric icky. You usually stand for such a higher level of tolerance. When you do this kind of thing to someone that has a condition such as the one Michael Jackson suffers from; it makes me sad for you. I guess it isn’t near as “pretty” as the one that Brittney Spears suffers from; as we all learned about her bipolar disorder last year. You know? About this time last year when she was; in and out of rehab and 7-eleven (barefoot), shaving her head, driving recklessly (babies on board), train wreck Matt Lauer interview, KEVIN FEDERLINE, The reality show, the crotch shots….. Need I say more? You give her a pass. AND you want people to have open minds, yet, you post crap like this. Setting an example of bigotry. He takes care of those kids. No real scandal. He was found INNOCENT of all charges against him AND he has some kind of illness. Rather it a body image problem, Lupus, Cancer….BIPOLAR 1…. Is it her talent that you find so me. I scoff. Beautiful Brit Brit had pressure from the Mickey Mouse club? Two words. JACKSON FIVE.
February 7th, 2009 at 11:56 pm
(me=) Attractive, I mean to say; and I know the spelling or gramatical errors are my own. One more thing on his past in case it is the issue. I have kids. NOTHING would make me wait to file or would I drop charges against the “grown man” that those parents time and time again “exposed” to him. I sure wouldn’t have put them in that position. ANY OF THEM. Someone was taking advantage of someone for sure…
February 8th, 2009 at 12:52 am
ok, BeckiJ, we get it….you are MUCH holier
February 8th, 2009 at 1:13 am
BeckiJ, is your problem with Trent or Britney? I truly don’t understand your rant. I surely don’t understand what your second paragraph was about. I have kids too though, as do a lot of us here.
I’ve been coming to this blog for years too and I love the fact that we’re able to have and post our opinions. And that Trent is definately allowed to have his and post whatever articles he wants. Because it’s his blog. None of us always entirely agree with everything he ever has to say, but that’s the fun of it.
@Avi…I refuse to go to that “other site” too. (I assume you’re talking about Perez?). He’s a total hack and just awful. He thinks he’s way better than everyone. I love how Trent allows us into his life and let’s his fans share theirs.
February 8th, 2009 at 1:33 am
MJ has lupus. I remember Jermaine said it in an Interview in the early 90’s. Someone asked him why MJ was wearing white band aids around his fingers and he told the interviewer because he has lupus and his nails are black so he is covering them. I believe he does have Lupus, my friend has lupus, he is only 33, his toe and fingernails are black, it looks like he has nail polish on them.
February 8th, 2009 at 1:34 am
If you google MJ and Lupus you will find numerours articles about it Trent.
February 8th, 2009 at 1:50 am
Hmm, I know Seal has lupus, that explains why he has black fingernails.
February 8th, 2009 at 5:53 am
Poor dude. Seriously, while we don’t know if these pics are real or not, whether there’s a reason for his “condition” or not, this guy just seems to get flack from all corners of the media, on- and offline. Who cares what his hands look like! In fact, who cares about him, period. Bring on the music – that’s enough.
February 8th, 2009 at 7:25 am
I love that someone here quoted “Wikipedia” as a valid source. LOL
February 8th, 2009 at 8:21 am
selina–I agree. Wikipedia is NOT a valid source
February 8th, 2009 at 9:22 am
its not that bad.
February 8th, 2009 at 10:07 am
I think I’m more shocked that Michael Jackson has survived his numerous plastic surgeries and that his nose hasn’t literally fallen off his face. I’m not making fun of his lupus, I’m just not surprised that MJ has medical problems.
February 8th, 2009 at 10:20 am
Hi Deb..yup, I did mean PH. I just think he’s a disgusting person. Although one of my LA friends met Perez and said he was nice..hmm….But aside from Perez himself, I don’t care for the site anymore and it’s best to find one you like, and stick with it. And BECKI, you are taking things way too seriously.
February 8th, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Vomit. He is DISGUSTING. And I am not just talking about his incredibly scary looks. He is such a creepster!
February 9th, 2009 at 8:32 am
THERE’s NOTHING wrong with his hands, you can always find details like that when you blow up a picture like that!!!
A little more respect for Michael Jackson please!!!!!
You stupid assholes
June 26th, 2009 at 6:44 pm
I don’t usually blog; in fact this is my first “real” time. Michael Jackson – where do I start?
I am still a little shocked that you have left. Maybe it was a welcome release for you. You have been through so much and have been tormented by many, both people and their blind opinions….You have given SO much, so much that can never be repaid, not by any sum of money or amount of tributes. Your music, your dance and your true beauty touched the hearts of so many. You united the world through your music, only now will we all realize your true magnificence. Sadly that is the way of this world, people only appreciate what they have had when it seizes to exist (I mean that purely from a physical perspective – I have no doubt that your soul/spirit is eternal).
So many judged you, as you did yourself. I saw through your pain and like so many others, your journey to find self acceptance was a long and tormented road. Only now will you be able to see your true beauty which many saw, and was there right from the start.
Your music was a head of its time, so was your complete innocence that so many could not understand. People plugged up with their own demons, unable to see their own magnificence could not possibly have seen yours. They no not what they do, and have learnt to only see what they think is the worst in others.
There is no doubt that your life took the exact path it was meant to take, your volatile and difficult childhood gave you the pain and passion to write the songs you did, for so many others just like you to take sanctuary and healing within them. We are all really the same as Michael, we all want to be accepted for who we are, to be loved and to love ourselves, I can’t help believe that Michael’s blanket of love and gifts that he has left us will keep us warm during cold times and as we evolve maybe we will all see the true message of his magical songs. Thank you Michael for every little piece of yourself you shared. You will forever be in my heart and may the peace that you now bask in give you eternal bliss.

does it really matter now-you shallow, thoughtless idiot? Comments criticizing his appearance by his dad caused his obsession with changing it-what are YOUR flaws? And Your talent-how does it stack up-PINK? How unoriginal.
