Luther Campbell Of 2 Live Crew Busted!
The master musician who battled Tipper Gore and the PMRC on matters of censorship in music back in the early 90s with his ode to horniness Me So Horny, Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew, was arrested in Florida this week for being in contempt of court … and consequently was arrested and thrown into the slammer. In case some of y’all forgot what Mr. Campbell looks like, here is his mugshot:
Where Luther Campbell just went, he probably doesn’t want to sing the song “Me So Horny.” Luther — a member of the 2 Live Crew — was just arrested in Miami-Dade County for contempt of court. Seems Luther didn’t pay $10,233.36 he owes the court — we’re not sure why he owes it, but now it’s time to pay the piper.
Honestly, I mention this news solely because I wanted an excuse to take things back a few years and post the video for 2 Live Crew’s biggest hit ever — Me So Horny. After the jump, check out the video in full …
Folks who remember this song from back in the day should remember that the song was a monster jam! I can’t say that I’m very surprised that an artist of Campbell’s caliber ended up in jail all these years later (and I’m sure not for the first time) but at least we can look back and reminisce on the stunning masterpiece of art he gave us in his hey day. I wonder just how horny he is now that he’s in the big house. Er, mebbe I don’t want to know.

Me love you long time Trent! lol I loved that song! We used to play this drinking game in college called Kings and you got to make rules and one of them was that anytime someone pulled an even card from the deck one of the guys at the table had to say “me so horny, me love you long time”. The drunker we got the funnier it was! ahh memories!! Anyway I agree Trent that the slammer really isn’t the place for homeboy to get noticed for his song!

I just watched the video – it made me giggle. For such raunchy lyrics, the women in the vid (and the vid itself) aren’t NEARLY as naughty as they/it could’ve been… If that video were made ‘today’, the women would barely have anything on, they’d all have amazing abs and bigger breasts… they’d be dancing way more sexually… and they definitely wouldn’t be wearing those biker shorts… unless they were cut like hot-pants…. It humored me.
