The new Tolkien book is pretty cool, even though I know it’s nothing to do with Middle Earth and is a translation of old Norse tales or something, simply because I’m tired of checking out the Tolkien section at every bookstore I go to and realising I own everything.

When I saw the link to the dolphin story I was like, “My God, another dolphin rescue story!” because boys from my hometown just recently freed some dolphins from the ice in our cove…Then I realized, IT’S THE SAME STORY!!!!! *That dolphin rescue story is a whole lot of alright! I was on tenterhooks all week about this – it’s truly rad that it’s had a positive outcome (altho I’m slightly perplexed – yet totally happy – that it showed up on Towleroad)
*Andrew Shue, who? I always figured he was banished from network TV due to never wearing a belt on Melrose Place.
*Ditto on the “Yay Bolivia”!
*I figure Madge’s Oscar date is going to turn out to be no more serious than her other notable Oscar date:

I can’t believe Madge has stooped so low to date a 22 yo. I’m sorry, that’s just wrong. She’s 50. I mean, I know she IS Madonna and technically she can have any man she wants (well, maybe not), but a 22 yo??? He could be her son. If she was 70 and he was 42, that would be different. Wouldn’t this confuse her kids, esp Rocco? I love that woman but it’s not right.
