Gisele Bündchen & Tom Brady Got Hitched!
Earlier this year we were tricked TWICE into thinking that longtime lovers Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady got engaged to be married. The first false alarm came from TMZ, the second false alarm came from People magazine. Yesterday, without any warning at all, Gisele and Tom skipped right over the engagement part and went right to the nuptials … the couple got hitched, y’all:
It’s official! Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady wed today at the St. Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica, Calif., Usmagazine.com confirms. The bride, 28, donned a form-fitting ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges, long train and a floor-length veil with attached handmade satin roses and attached satin headband, all by Dolce & Gabbana. Her three dogs also wore matching Dolce & Gabbana floral lace collars. Dolce & Gabbana most recently dressed Fergie for her January nuptials to Josh Duhamel. The ceremony — which began at dusk — was “very small and intimate,” a source tells Us, adding that guests mostly consisted of immediate family. Brady’s son with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, was also present. (Fitting, as Bundchen once described her ideal wedding as “a simple ceremony…I don’t like parties, I prefer something more intimate, just for the closest people.”) Reps did not immediately return calls … Engagement rumors began to surface about the couple late last year. First, TMZ.com announced Brady popped the question Dec. 24 on a private plane, then People claimed they planned to wed in Costa Rica. Bundchen, however, slammed both reports as false. “Someone deduced I was getting engaged…I don’t know how people are so creative,” she told Brazilian magazine Caras Gi last month after receiving over 100 e-mails from pals asking about the engagement. The couple purchased an $11.7 million plot of land in a gated community in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles late last year.
I love it! I knew this wedding was coming … and I knew that they were gonna do it on their terms. Honestly, I didn’t expect the couple to walk down the aisle so soon after the engagement rumors started, I figured they’d pull a fast one closer to the Summer. But, the couple managed to fool everyone and get married right under all of our noses — well played. I gotta say, I’m very glad the couple went straight to the altar and spared us another round of engagement bullshizz. Much love and congrats to them both!!

I love that they got married and didn’t have a long drawn out engagement. Usually long engagements don’t make it to the alter. I wonder if we will see pics soon. I love surprise weddings.

I agree Jo 100%, I have always thought that. He should have protected himself, but he probably trusted her to not do something so low. You can get anyone pregnant, but you only marry your love. I think Gisele is very safe, Tom obviously loves her.

@ Amy, I wouldn’t call getting pregnant something “low”, hey we don’t know the details of their relationship and it always saddens me when a father isn’t there completely for a child when they are young.

Getting married on a Friday in a Catholic church. Isn’t that against canon law, or if not canon law, at least long-established custom. The pastor at St Monica’s is a real star-fucker so it doesn’t surprize me.
