The poster for the new straight-to-DVD sequel to the indie cult hit Donnie Darko, titled S. Darko, has been revealed …

… as has the film’s first movie trailer. Much like the film Donnie Darko, there is a whole lotta WTF is goin’ on? in this first look at the upcoming sequel (due to hit DVD stores in April). After the jump, watch the trailer in full — it’s kinda long and totally incomprehensible …

UHHH, yeah. I have no idea either. I am looking forward to seeing Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick in the flick … and I’m glad to see that the scary bunny is also featured in the film. Altho I have NO idea what any of the Darkoness is all about, I am deffo looking forward to seeing this film when it gets released on DVD on April 28.

  2. darlene Says:

I want to see this movie, I liked the first one, and major plus, I want to see more acting done by Jackson Rathbone (you know the guy that played Jasper in Twilight).

  3. Nathiest Says:

The first movie was about a time paradox that the lead character was starting become aware of, but mostly on a subconscious level he was not physic.

  4. Shana Says:

Did you mean “physic” or “psychic”?

  5. EmCee Says:

REALLY excited for this! The first one is one of my favorite movies, and this has a really good cast. At least, I’m really interested in seeing all of the actors in different roles than usual. :)

  6. Elo Says:

I can’t wait to see this movie! Was that Elizabeth Berkley (Jesse Spano, Saved by the Bell) in the preview?

  7. Jules Says:

I’m sad ESTELLE GETTY was not in the Memoriam section..she was in films, not just TV. She died in time to be put in, right? She was in Mannequin, Torch Song Trilogy, Stop or My Mom Will Shoot, etc…and MASK!

  15. nicole Says:

holy…theres alot of familiar faces in this

  16. Camille Says:

Doesn’t make me want to watch it… Why do they have a caterpillar coming out of their body ?

  17. Cathelin Says:

They made something awful with the Darco. In the original movie the end of the world was a metaphor – it was Gretchen who was Donnie’s world. With these sequel they transformed it into some stupid teen-horror. I hate it when they do it with some special (meaning also very good) movies.
I’m gonna pretend these never happend and that move doesn’t exist.

  18. PinkIsTheBestBlog Says:

I hate to admit this, but I didn’t understand Donnie Darko at all. Maybe I should watch it again, but I didn’t get it.

  19. It's Trent, Bitch! Says:

    @PinkIsTheBestBlog — Don’t worry, I’ve seen it 5 times and I still don’t get it. But Jakey, sigh :)

  20. kf Says:

    ELIZABETH BERKLEY: a-maze-ing.

  21. Roxy Says:

They shouldn’t make a sequel to a good thing!

  22. holliwould Says:

i read every ones posts lol obviously not big fans ok donnie darko is rumored to be loosely based on theories out of a book by stephen hawking “a brief history of time” read this will open a whole new level of the movie and make it make much more since however The Philosophy of Time Travel is a book by the director that explaines the Tangent Universe ,Manipulated Dead/living,Fourth Dimensional Construct and other aspects not clearly defined in the movie
