Ed Westwick Wants You To Wear K-Swiss Shoes
Ed Westwick has been christened as the new face of K-Swiss shoes and the first promo images from their new ad campaign featuring their new spokesmodel have been released:

Along with tennis players Tommy Haas, Mardy Fish and Anna Kourniva and Hollywood scions Alexandra Richards and Evan Ross, Ed Westwick is one of the “cool people” that were cast to represent the new “Classic” sneaker — an update on their iconic style being introduced this spring. Shot by Zach Gold, the campaign is set in a white studio and shot in black-and-white. Westwick says of his involvement, “I really enjoyed being a part of this important moment for K-Swiss as they celebrate the return of an icon. I have a more traditional and classic style and tend to favor timeless pieces that I can wear again and again.”
Honestly, I don’t know anyone who wears K-Swiss shoes anymore but I seem to recall they were the shizz back when I was in junior high school a million years ago. The cool kids either wore K-Swiss or Lotto shoes (I was on Team Lotto cuz the logos could be afixed to the sides of the shoes with velcro and could be mix and matched with different colors … to coordinate with whatever Swatch watch I was wearing that day — true story) but these days, I’m not sure the caché is there anymore. Mebbe with a hot star like Ed Westwick in their ads, the shoes will be must have again. After the jump, check out two more K-Swiss ads that feature Westwick …

OOOOH, so broody. The ads are cool … the shoes are kinda dope. They do have an 80s feel to them. What do y’all think? Do you like these ads? Do these promo photos inspire you to pick up a pair of K-Swiss kicks?

I wore a pair in high school, 6 years ago. They were so pretty. But yeah, I don’t know who wears them anymore.

I used to have two Swatches including a rather unique one that was manufactured expressly for Expo 86 as a limited edition (I hope I still have it in a shoebox somewhere!)
Check out this Swatch exhibit pic from back then – their exhibit was HYOOOGE!

I had the Lottos with the color change logos too! (I think I was in middle school though) Man, I forgot all about those! I only had one Swatch, so I just matched the shoes to my outfit. Thanks for bringin’ back that memory….they should make those again.

K-Swiss were popular not too long ago, at least in my school. It seemed like everyone had a pair.

k-swiss classic made a come back in the early 2000’s, they’re timeless, guys liked keeping ‘em white, they were like dress shoes, at least here in detroit…haven’t worn a pair since the ’80’s but i do remember them being comfortable.

I love my K-Swiss’!! It’s usually the first brand I look at when shoe shopping. They’ve always been durable and reliable, in my experience!

At my school you either had K-Swiss, Fila or Nike Cortez (aka “gangsters”). I wore Docs.
Damn, I feel old.

I think Ed’s great on GG but it’s hilarious that he’s getting endorsements since 1) he has *sshole face and 2) he’s loathsome Chuck Bass.
May Georgina bring back Ton Sur Ton!

i find this young man to be terribly unattractive. and his “model” face makes him look like he thinks he’s pretty. maybe he’ll get better with age.

i find him to look sleezy and greasy. i don’t see his appeal at all. ugh.

these ads are awesome. i’m not from the states so wouldn’t know about the trend factor, but the shoes do look cool.
