Beckham is now 33 and its no secret that he is fast approaching the end of his playing career, and just under 7m pounds is a price that is almost unheard of for players his age, even for those with vastly superior technical ability. AC are simply offering what is right from their business standpoint.
As for the Galaxy, you say that you would ‘be cool’ if they were paid back the money they would lose by losing Beckham, quite simply that isn’t going to happen if he moves. If he leaves then Galaxy will just have to take a monumental loss, it is a risk that I’m sure Alexei Lalas and Don Garber at MLS were aware of when Beckham first made the move stateside and it is all part and parcel of the business of football. Get over it.
So if you want to keep commenting about your seemingly unending infatuation with David Beckham then more power to you.
