Another thrilling season of Dancing with the Stars is nearly upon us and just weeks after the list of celebrity contestants who have signed on to compete for the Dancing with the Stars Championship title we get our first look at the promo photos of all of the contestants paired up with their professional partners. As I’ve mentioned in seasons past, I am not a fan of the show … but I do tend to have a favorite or two that I tend to root for on the sidelines. This time around, I’m throwing all my support around the fabulous Lil’ Kim:
Kim is paired up with professional dancer Derek Hough … and they will face 12 other pairs of contestants when the next season of Dancing with the Stars hits the airwaves next month. After the jump, check out the rest of the promo pics of this seasons stars and their professional dancing partners …

Clearly, the DWTS Photoshopper is really fond of using the lens flare tool on these promo pics … which gives that cheese effect in each of the photos. Meh, when in Rome, I suppose. While I am really rooting for Lil’ Kim to win it all I am also loving that Belinda Carlisle is in competition this season … tho, I fear that they cast her as the elder contestant a la Cloris Leachman last season — OUCH! On the celeb man front, I think I’ll throw my support behind French actor Gilles Marini. I really became a big fan of his after seeing him in the Sex and the City Movie last Spring … I woudn’t mind rooting for him. Are any of y’all excited for this new season? I *love* seeing the So You Think You Can Dance dancers getting these jobs. Lacey and Chelsea were both consistantly solid performers who came from a ballroom background, and they’ve shown that they’ve got what it takes to keep learning and polishing new routines super fast, over and over.
However, I really don’t like Dancing With the Stars. I really don’t care to watch has-been celebrities flailing around in sequences and flounces.

Im going to watch just to see if one of Lil’ Kim’s fake body parts slides across the dance floor. Shes scary looking.

Julianna probably just came back because she got to dance with her BF Chuck Wicks. With Jewel and Ty too – it is bound to be a season of couples shoved at us!!! And I agree that Denise will fall for her partner! LOL!

I am voting for chuck wicks and julianne! Chuck recently came to my college for a concert and he is so sexy!! and really funny!! I hope they do really well because they are an extremely gorgeous and talented couple!
Uggh… Julianne is dancing with her boyfriend. I really hope they go early… for some reason I just cannot stand her.

Lacey, Demitri and Chealsie are all amazing ballroom dancers, I loved Lance and Lacey together last year and I hope the other SYTYCD folks do well

Jewel and Ty live in my hometown and were out at an Italian restaurant having pasta dinners with their partners this Tuesday. So sweet.
Grayson – I totally agree with you. I think they are mainly US celebrities, I live in Europe, so I also have no idea!
Unfortch Maks and Denise look the best paired…in good shape, look like they’ll dance well together…I say unfortch because she is bat sh*t crazy & I won’t be pulling for her.
Is it me or do Julianne & Chuck look awfully stiff together for being ‘in lurve’???
